This review is from my 11 year old daughter who received the pencil set for Christmas: "There are so many great colors to pick from. When you use different shades from the same color family and color it all together, it gives a beautiful blend of that color family. This pencil set is very good for vivid detailed drawing. It is really good for doing skin tones and other natural colors. I have really enjoyed the set the most doing my favorite drawings of various animals."

I was pleased to receive the 100 Colored Pencils set. I also own expensive colored pencils, but these cheaper ones will be perfect for children. The pencils sharpen to a good point, and I like how they lay down color. My only disappointment (and the reason I rated this 3 stars instead of 5) is that the package contained 2 each of 50 colors, not 1 each of 100 different colors, as the product description implied. In other words, the pencils are packaged in a way that forces you to buy a double set of 50 pencils. I would have preferred to buy one set of 50 pencils for half the price. Still, when more than one artist uses the pencils at the same time, there is less competition to use the most popular colors.
