This review is really going to be a two parter. First will be the review of the airbrush with the compressed air can. The second will be with the compressor. However, l dont have a compressor yet so that will be an update.
The Copic airbrush system is a pretty cool concept, using high quality markers instead of paint along with many propellent options. Alright, lm just going to say it bluntly the system is horrible with an aircan. It is very VERY inconsistant and because CO2 cans freeze quickly when in use the operator only has a few seconds of use time before the tip of the marker freezes up making that color usless before it thaws out, but that doesnt take long. Maybe its me, but l find that only 40% of the time the Copic airbrush works okay. The angle has to be just right and only shortvery short burst of paint at a time for it work right. If the tip doesnt freeze on you, the operator will need to watch out for splotches of ink blown on to your work, which happens all the time. One of my markers doesnt even work in the handle (its the right kind) anymore but it writes fine which is strange. When the system does work it works pretty well. The colors are vibrant and they can get pretty dark. However, they wont show up on dark background
If you want to try a Copic out before you dump money into the system or a compressor l would visit your local dealer to see if you could demo one first. Because with an aircan you will not like it one bit. They dont work well at all, they are expensive and they run out quickly.
Yet, l have faith in the system. If l had the compressor l bet my time with the Copic airbrush would greatly improve. No frozen aircans, nice consistant air and a compressor will payfor its self over time. All the people on the forums just love theirs and l suspect that they use a compressor. That makes me believe that the Copic airbrush is a quality unit. But for now it only gets three stars with the aircan

After trying all the adapters in my air compressor sets, I had to go to Fluid Connector Products in Salem, OR to get adapters to use the Copic system. The Copic has a British fitting on it and that had to be adapted to the fittings on my compressor. After getting that done, the product is fun and easy to use. I plan to use this system for fabric, cards, and jewelry. I have posted pictures of this product site.
