Good quick start into machine embroidery. When I purchased my embroidery machine on Amazon the machine and one hoop is what you get. As I didn't know what I would need to start I felt this was a good entrance to supplies especially when you don't know what you need. I did feel as though it was a little pricey when I purchased, but it got me started. I quickly found out that I needed more. I was especially happy with the trimming scissors and I am still using them. If I had purchased this on the sale price, I would have given it 5 stars.

The set is nice but honestly you may want to price out the items individually to see if it works out to be a better price then buying all together. At the time I made the purchase, it was close in price to just buy everything in the set so I figured that the scissors that accompany this set ended up being free vs buying everything on amazon individually. I have been pleased with the thread and everything in the kitso no complaints and being new to embroidery, it was nice having everything together since I really didn't know exactly what I would need. I bought it with my brother se400 (which I LOVE)!

At first I did not think I would be getting much with this package, however, you will be surprised at the quality of the thread and the great colors of the thread in this package. The Brother Embroidery Starter kit also provided a pack of needles, bobbins for the machine and more. I recommend this package for the great value!
Honest reviews on Brother Embroidery Starter Kit
I got this set when I purchased my new Brother se400. The curved scissors are nice, but as other reviewers have said, price items out individually. Also buyer beware...the thread in this set in terrible. It breaks and frays repeatedly...a problem I have not had with the other set I purchased on Amazon with a LOT more color choices. You will need the stabilizer sheets, but the small sheets are too small for a 4X4 hoop. Overall I would say buy the items seperately and you will be much happier!

I ordered this when I ordered the Brother 770 embroidery machine. As someone new to an embroidery machine, I am really happy that I ordered this. It gave me an opportunity to try different threads, stabilizers, but most important, the prewound bobbin thread. I think it made a believer of me for prewound. So far the sewing has gone without a hitch.
