I purchased this nail set specifically for the cupcake nail. I used it to place a jumbo cupcake on my daughters first birthday cake, the idea being she would have her own little cake. It worked perfectly. It made it easy to hold and turn the cupcake while I was decorating it. After the cupcake was decorated it held it in place atop the cake without a problem.

I anticipated something far thinner, but, it's sturdy and rather easy to handle. I bought two so that I don't have to worry if one is in the dishwasher!

I've had major issues with this rose nail. It seems to "melt" my buttercream so that my rose slides around and doesn't hold its shape. Go for the real thing and get the metal rose nails instead! I've had no problem with those.
