I would have given this paint no stars if that were a choice. This paint is not washable!! It was extremely difficult to wash off my grandchildren's skin and wash out of their hair! After two baths, both children still had greenish blue smudges on their face, arms, and legs; and my granddaughter had green tinted hair for 2 days. The paint on our shirts that we all wore while painting DID NOT come out in the wash. This paint should be avoided at all costs. Crayola paints as well as Melissa & Doug are the ones to buy. Both of these brands are washable as advertised.

I've tried every brand of washable finger paint, and these are by far the best. They are thicker, more opaque, and far richer in pigment than any other brand of finger paint. After using these, my daughter refuses to even use the Crayola finger paints. My only complaint is that Faber-Castell does not sell the paints separately from the kit, so in order to buy more, one must purchase the entire kit again.Unlike the Texas reviewer, I had no difficulty washing these finger paints off my child or her clothing--or, for that matter, the floor, furniture, my own clothes and even the white fur of one of our two dogs, whom my daughter once covered with red hearts using the heart-shaped sponge and red finger paint in the kit (I made the mistake of allowing my mother to babysit, who is far more permissive than I am). Ironically, I have had trouble washing off the green finger paint made by Melissa & Doug (although not the other colors). My daughter looked as if she had faded bruises for three days after using it, despite long and thorough baths.
