I used this product on an existing children's easel board. The chalk board that came with it didn't work very well, so I wanted a better writing surface. I ended up using Martha's magnetic paint as well (under this chalk board paint). While it does provide a very good writing surface, it leaves a big residue of chalk when erased. I'm not sure if this is typical of all chalk board paint, but it is a little annoying. You must use a damp cloth to wipe it down each day or it looks a little messy. It's not a bad product, as it writes really well. Just be aware that you will need a damp cloth to remove the erased chalk residue.

I bought this product because it was larger than the other chalkboard paints. I figured I could get more of my project done with one bottle. I was wrong.
I have used another generic chalkboard paints that work better than this product.
Martha Stewart Chalkboard paint goes on very thin requiring more coats of paint. After two coats of this product, there are still bald spots. The cheaper bottles only require two coats.
It also does not tell you that in order for chalkboard paints to work best, you should do one coat vertically and another horizontally.

Followed directions to a T on glass. Covered nicely with 2 coats ... Go to draw on it with chalk after priming & the paint peeled off :(. I have some left & hope to try another surface.

This is a lovely blue color, I've used it for a calkboard and to paint a little wooden house. Looks great on boath pieces.

I painted our glass jug and it worked like it was supposed to. DO NOT RUN IN DISH WASHER it will get on everything.
