If you like the layered look on your greeting cards (see above customer image of a heart-shaped greeting card using this die set) or scrapbook pages, these Spellbinders nestabilities dies are the perfect accessory for your embossing/die-cutting machine. I use them with my Spellbinders Grand Calibur Embossing & Die Cutting Machine, and according to the directions that come with the dies, they also work with the Cuttlebugs and the Sizzix machines.
The directions that come with these dies explain very clearly how to use them with each type of embossing/die-cutting machine.
NOTE: if you are accumulating quite a collection of these Spellbinders dies, you might find it handy to create a binder to hold them. I bought a three-inch binder and about 28 feet of 1/2" magnetic tape, and made pages out of cardboard and chipboard. I stuck the magnetic tape onto both sides of a cardboard page, usually in a cross-shape, then stuck the dies to the magnetic tape. The dies are much easier to remove and put back onto the magnetic tape than they were to take off and put back onto onto the sticky tape that Spellbinders uses to package them. Plus all my dies are in one place now, and very easy to access. See second customer image above for a sample page from my 'metal dies' binder.

I have the BigShot, I have the foam, I have the Nestabilities die, so now I'm ready for valentine's day. These dies will also emboss, but I'm not really interested in embossing with them. For me, it's all in the cutting. The only part I didn't like was getting them out of the package. (Stepping on them barefoot wasn't very fun, either.)
