I'm a landscape architecture student. I don't like the idea of buying chartpak or prismacolor markers because they can't be refilled and don't seem to last very long. These markers solved those issues and then some. With these, even the nibs are replaceable. The refill inks are very reasonably priced and each one gives around 10 refills, so for the price of 2 prismacolors, you get 11 copics. Also, the super brush tip works like an actual paint brush it doesn't flair out under pressure, but instead, it is flexible and allows you to draw a wide variety of line widths and aids with blending like no other. They work very well on cardstock and smooth bristol, but not as well on trace or vellum this is fine with me because the blending is unparallelled as far as I am concerned. All you really need is 3 of the same color family a light, medium, and dark color with the same first letter and number (G21, G24, and G29, for example). There are many, many youtube tutorials to help you, so give these a chance. You won't go back to the other brands.
