I'm pretty rough with sketchpads, and this one didn't hold up. It's got perforated sheets, which is nice. But the paper is very thin, not a whole lot better than newsprint, with the same dingy off-white shade. It tends to catch and crumple when I'm erasing. I like to use my sketchpads to work on drafts, so that got to be a problem. As a workaround, I pulled sheets out and taped them to my drawing surface with painter's tape, which helped.

If you're a responsible artist who takes care with their supplies, you'll probably be well-served by this sketchpad. Otherwise, look for a more durable paper.

We were not familiar with this brand of sketch pads but we took a chance and we were very pleased with the results! The "Sketcher" in our house is very happy with the quality and size of these pads. Delivery was prompt. These sketch pads were a little more expensive than those we have usually purchased but they were worth the price!

The paper is nice quality, i use it for pencil, charcoal, pastel and even acrylic paint. i use it to sketch whenever i have an idea in my head.

Good quality, large book. The pages are thick and sturdy. One of the best things about it is the pages are perforated near the binding for tidy removal from book, which is great. I really like this sketch pad, better than any other one I have used, I use it with the Prismacolor pencils, good team.

It got here faster than I was expecting, which was great. It was packaged nicely. I draw and write in pen, which isn't exactly what this was made for, but it works awesome, no seepage through the back page. I'd recommend this if you work a lot with graphites, but it's also just a great universal sketch book. So I guess someone who was trying to decide what they wanted to work with in art would love this. Canson does have a lot of variety so when you find what you want to use you can't get a book specifically for that.

Pros:

Sturdy, good quality, great paper.

Cons:

Not ENTIRELY universal. but enough.
