This mini hole punch is truly tiny. It's cute, all right, though I received a clear one, not a color. I tried to punch a hole in a 3" x 5" card, but it wouldn't punch through. So I tried regular paper, just one sheet, and the puncher couldn't punch through that either! I tried many times. It wouldn't punch a complete hole-wouldn't even punch enough to tear out the hole the rest of the way. Mine must have been defective; I can't imagine they're all like that. The good thing is that Amazon paid for return shipping since it was defective.Best Deals for Mini Hole Punch-Assorted Colors
This is a cute looking little hole punch and a handy size for my backpack but it was very poor quality. After punching holes in two pages and moving onto the third, it was broken. Something came unaligned and now the hole puncher only makes a faint indentation on the page without actually going through the paper. Useless...bound for the garbage can.Honest reviews on Mini Hole Punch-Assorted Colors
I just wanted to add on a few specific details that would've been helpful to know up front. First of all, I am happy overall with the purchase it fulfills exactly the need I was looking for: cute, single hole punch that's convenient and lightweight. There were a few minor surprises and disappointments though.Biggest disappointment was that the "color" I received was clear. How is this a color? From the product images shown, I assumed I'd get a color, ANY color. But it was a slight disappointment to just get "clear". Yes I know this is not a major point, but from a solely emotional standpoint, I was disappointed. I'm a huge sucker for packaging, in both form and function, and I was looking forward to the tiny amount of joy derived from more color in my world.
As the other reviewer says, the holes are small. I'm not sure where they get "5/8inch hole punch", but I measure the center of the hole to be 1.1cm away from the edge of the paper, with the total diameter of the hole at 0.55cm. Yes, I realize that I'm saying it in cms rather than inches, but it's more accurate on my tape measure that way. Additionally, I realize that maybe I'm just not understanding what they're measuring when they say the size of the hole punch...
Due to these technicalities, I am not rating it a full 5 stars. Take it all with a grain of salt; that's why I'm clarifying the numbers here.
