I ordered this set as a birthday gift prior to ordering the 125 Anniversary set. It is a very lovely set, one that would be affordable for a serious beginner. A nice variety of color and will be a perfect refil for the 125 set that I have.
These pastels are very buttery, high quality. Use them for a top layer for one's paintings.

I wanted to get into my oil pastel paintings after 15 years so I ordered a Faber Castell set and was instantly turned off my the texture and feel of the pastel. I decided that I am going to just pitch in for one of the best oil pastel brands and see what its like. Sennelier did not disappoint. These oil pastels are the so soft, creamy and a dream to work with. I have painted several pieces of work with this and its great. I sometimes feel they may be too soft and I use them in tandem with Mungyo gallery oil pastels which are a bit harder. It good to have a few different softness level in pastels. Anyway I am exploring the different brands and sennelier has a special place. This is my gold standard.
