This was missing several bolts and was poorly packaged in just the box--shipped to Hawaii! No bubble wrap, nothing! Arrived dinged and a mess. It would be ok for smaller, lightweight art pieces but has no weight or sturdyness to hold larger canvas's, nor would it hold up in a breeze at all. The bolt that is SUPPOSED to hold up the holder fell right off; the bolts are so flimsy they do NOT tighten enough to stay!!! AWFUL!!! do'nt buy this!!!

I am very disappointed. Called company about missing parts and they never ANSWER the phone!!! amazon should NOT sell this if they do not back it up. Still waiting for a response! NO stars would be a better but had to--because they won't publish otherwise!!!

This is the same model easel I used in all my art classes, so I know I know it holds up to some punishment. The aluminum pieces slid easily, it holds a large canvas, gives you no concern of collapse, and folds back down easily. It's not the best easel for travel, it's a little bulky, but the support is worth it. The first easel I received arrived damaged, with what looks like a manufacture defect. The hinge connecting the rear leg to the back was bent and the screw stripped. After I contacted Amazon about the issue, they immediately corrected the issue by one-day shipping me a new easel at no charge, and let me keep the damaged easel. That customer service is always worth it for me.

I was searching for an easy to use, heavy enough, easily portable plein air easel. My first use was on a windy day next to the water. I had no problem with the easel blowing over and my canvases stayed firmly attached. What a pleasure. It was easy to raise and retract. Great buy!
