This mannequin is very nice for artist reference. I was excited when I got mine, however I am disappointed. The hips are not full range of motion. They only move front to back. So posing your mannequin in a fighting stance, or doing a side kick, or sitting on a barbie horse (what my sister tried to do), it just doesn't work.
The hips have the same range of motion as a lego figure, the mannequin however does have bendable knees and ankles

The elastic holding one of the arms in place is weak so that the arm is not firm when posed.Best Deals for Unisex Mannequin
I bought this for my 10 year old granddaughter. She is an excellent artist and wanted to improve her proportions when drawing full figures. She specifically asked for this model. We gave it to her for Christmas. She uses it frequently. She says it really helps her understand exactly how the body moves one part in relation to another part. She is pleased, so I am pleasedHonest reviews on Unisex Mannequin
The hip joints are glued in place which stops the legs from any sort of open rotation (no splits, side kicks or crouching). The femur portion of the legs can move forward and back but without being fully adjustable, it greatly limits the possible poses for the lower body. The upper body moves fairly well and can be posed into many different positions. If you plan on using this mannequin for figure drawing, I wouldn't recommend it.
