I've been a professional designer, creating renderings of architectural and museum spaces, for many years. Bar none, these are far and away the most enjoyable technical pens I own. I use them on trace, vellum and a wide range of papers and am always happy with the line quality, the pen build quality and the ink solubility. Matched to Prismacolor markers, they are no bleed, take pencils well over top and underneath, and scan perfectly. The ink stays fresh even when I'm not drawings for a few weeks.
The caps snap tight and the feel in the hand is right. They're lightweight in the hand, but not flimsy. The aluminum barrels aren't too slick thanks to the anodizing. The nib lengths are plenty long, about 1mm at the larger diameters, and have a nice shape. If I have one complaint, I'd like the ink to stay down better on trace when I cleanup drawings with Mars plastic erasers, but it's far from the worst.
While I still turn to my beloved Pentel Sign Pens and Pilot Fineliners for many purposes, such as rapid sketching, blocking and quick compositions, I turn right away to Copic's when it's time to make it real. I'll never use Micron Pigmas again.

These are imports, but they are completely awesome. You can buy refill cartridges AND nibs, so you could keep these forever if you want to. They work so well and unlike other brands of drafting pens (like the prismacolors I have) the nibs are very sturdy and don't degrade quickly at all. I really like these pens. There's even a brush tip that takes care of all the nib sizes above .7mm because of its flexibility in created different line weights. Great pens!
