these are sooo much more colorful in person and just beautiful colors i didn't want to get a huge chalks with just a few colors so this was great i just love how vibrant these are and they are amazing i work on BJD's and there fantastic they apply awesomely and the colors are sooo vibrant love love love them !!!

These are good pastels for beginners, but I much prefer the softness and smoothness of Rembrandts. There is a huge difference in price though. If you are just wanting to use a little pastel here and there on an otherwise acrylic, watercolor, collage, etc., these are great. If you want to work in pastels altogether, I'd go for the Rembrandts.

I work on BJDs (Ball Jointed Dolls) and do custom face work for them. The chalks I was usig before offered thin almost non existent color even after 5+ layers, all heavily applied with a brush. With these the colors were bright with 2 layers (applied dry with a paint brush) even against my dark skinned dolls. I highly recommend these based on the color purity and vividness.
