Good strong colors. Wide variety of shades and tones. Excellent starter set for someone just beginning in watercolors, a person wanting to play with watercolors, or anyone on a budget. I was pleased with this set. You can get better, of course, for paying five to ten times more, but for the money, this set is as good as it gets.
