My daughter is an art major at Towson University and needed quality colored pencils for her art project assignments. She says these are the best and loves them. Not being an artist, I have no comment of my own other than what she tells me. All I can say is you won't be disappointed in the quality. They aren't cheap but I guess in this arena, you get what you pay for.

Arguably one of the best sets you can buy. These are oil based instead of wax based so they don't sweat wax afterwards. They react well to solvents for smoothing the coverage and seem to need significantly less sharpening than wax based pencils
