Please see customer image above for an example of a card where I used the small bird and large birdcage dies to decorate a friendship card. If my paper art magazines are to be trusted, birdcages are currently a trendy decoration for greeting cards, and this set of dies plays right into that trend. My only problem with this set of 'Bird Santuary' dies is that the large bird doesn't fit into either cage, and the smallest cage won't hold either bird.

I use my Spellbinders Shapeabilities dies with a Cuttlebug machine. The directions on how to use these dies with the Spellbinders Wizard, the Big Kick by Sizzix, and the Cuttlebug by Provocraft come with every set of dies, and they are very clear and easy to follow.

If you are going to emboss using a Cuttlebug and the Shapeabilities Spellbinders dies, you will also need to purchase a tan embossing mat which is sold separately from the Cuttlebug machine.

I purchased this set as I like birds and wanted to make cards with these dies as an additional interest point. I have only used them a couple times so far but I'm glad I purchased them as they come out so nice.

I love the bird theme. Specially the choice of sizes makes it easy to use in many applications. The large cage is larger than I thought it would be which makes it nice to take up a larger area on the card and of course you have two sizes of birds. Very nice!
