I used the Allary Chalk Cartridge on a baby quilt I made for a friends first grandchild. The quilt took me over three months to make. It was so beautiful. Bright greans, pinks, blues, yellows, white, and lavenders. I stenciled, chalked and hand quilted a butterly in each piece. In the border around the quilt I stenceled, chalked and hand quilted a string of hearts. I'm saying all of this to stress the agony I have gone through. To get the chalk out I washed the quilt in cold water and Woolite. The chalk did not come out. I washed it three more times, using Shout Out, Oxyclean, and finally 409. Nothing worked. I now have a quilt that looks like a faded hand-me-down with orange chalk on it. If you do hand quilting, NEVER use this product.

I'm a new hand quilter and I needed an easy way to mark seam allowances on a variety of colored fabrics. This set fit the bill since it has a wide selection of colors to use in addition to white. I'm not sure why the other reviewer experienced a lot of breakage because my set arrived in perfect condition.

After reading the previous reviews I was a bit afraid the chalk cartridges would end up broken and smashed, but everything arrived in perfect shape. Works exactly as expected. I only wish they sold refill packs in the different colors since white is what I use the least!

The chalk was exactly what what described but it is thin and several

of the pieces were broken which in the long run will mean more waste.

I would recommend that this be purchased locally at a sewing store so you can get

everything home in one piece.
