If you're child loves painting, these are the PERFECT travel water colors. My 4 year old loves them. More like a marker quality than a watercolor, but she doesn't care! No mess and beautiful results. We've been using it hard for over a year and have never had a problem with them drying out. Just wet the pad and brushes and you're good to go! She needs just a little help opening and closing the paints (they snap tightly, which helps keep them from drying out), but other than that, she paints independently. Highly recommended!

I LOVE these watercolors for my three year old. He wants to do the same art projects that his older siblings do, but needs more hands on help. These are the perfect solution when I cannot be right by his side. They are not messy as the paint is confined in each little container. They clean up well and are nice and bright on the paper!! I enjoy water color paints for young children, but these are a million times better!!

I bought this watercolor set for my then two year old daughter who was obsessed with art, but didn't really have the coordination to use "real" watercolors independently. She LOVED it, and it is so very easy to clean, use, and put away. There is no cup of water to knock over, and the colors are bright and durable. My daughter is now four and she and my two year old still use them same set (they last FOREVER!) I cannot recommend this product more highly. This is the BEST art product I have ever bought.

I love these! I have boy girl twins who just turned 2 in Feb 2012. I bought these in October so they were 20 months old. They are great, my kids love them. NO mess easy to use, clean up very easily off clothes, tables anything and they've marked them on everything (my son anyway). I wouldn't actually call them paints they're basically an empty clean marker that you dip in marker ink then draw with. But my kids think they're paints and they're set up like that so they're "paints." You don't need watercolor paper you can just use coloring books or anything, since they really are just markers. I've had them since October like I said and we use them probably every other day and they even sit for an hour or so sometimes waiting for me to remember to close them up and rinse them off and they STILL are working great. Whoever had a problem with them drying up must have just gotten a bad batch. I bought mine at a toy store for half what they're asking here and it is definitely worth it. I'm giving them to my 3 year old niece and nephew for their birthdays.

I highly recommend these for the younger kids like toddlers don't know how the older kids would feel about them say 6 or so probably should get them real paints.
