I really like these. The 4" length is more comfortable to me than longer needles but I'm sure that's not true for everyone. I like that they start with a size 2 needle where most interchangables start with a size 4. They do hang a little on the join sometimes but not so bad that it's a problem to me. I know some people complain of them coming unscrewed while working with them but I have been using them for about a year now and have never had one come unscrewed while I was using it. The cables are very thin and practically kink free.
I only gave 4 stars because of the lack of accessories. I wish they had a way to join 2 or more cables and also some sort of stop that could be screwed on the ends to keep the stitches from falling off if you remove the needles to use on another project and want to use the cable as a stitch holder.
Overall these are my favorite interchangables and I would recommend them to anyone that knits. Great price and the smaller sizes that I prefer in a nice little fabric case that is easy to stick in my knitting bag to take with me.

I have been knitting for many years with many types of needles including at least 4 sets of interchangeable circulars but when HiyaHiya came out with a set with swivel joins, I had to try them out to see if I was missing something. I purchased a set of the interchangeable 5" sharp circulars (they come in 4 inch too). After 3 months of using them all I can say is "WOW".
Pointy circular needles are my favorite for most projects and the HiyaHiya sharps did not disappoint. The cables are thin and flexible and they swivel, which is uncommom. This means minimal kinking. Magic loop is a breeze. I hand tighten and they do not come apart, but they come with rubber grips if you need them. The set starts with size 2 needles(other sets start with size 4) thru size 8. It comes with 4 cables, but the 16 inch cable does not work well with the 5 inch tips. So I have bought a few additional 4 inch tips to use with the 16 inch cable.
The fabric case is well made but closes with a funky bow tie which I have removed and replaced with a gold button. I liked this set so much, I purchased an additional set in bamboo. The price, compared to other brands, is very reasonable.
If you are new to knitting or a veteran knitter, I highly recommend a HiyaHiya Interchangeable set.

I am fairly new to knitting, just over 2 years, but I did not own many circulars and really did not want to buy several individual lengths and sizes so I began researching interchangeable sets. I am lucky enough to be near a local yarn shop and was able to play with this set as well as the hiya sharps before I had to decide. I think the sharps would be great if you are a tight knitter, but since I use my finger to push stitches off, after a row or two my finger was pretty sore, and I do not knit tightly so I do not really need the sharp points. I am currently working on a sweater and despite a large # of stitches I have not needed to tighten the joins. Just use the included rubber grips to tighten or loosen the cable and you should be set. Also, the needles have a swivel which is pretty neat and keeps the cables from getting twisted. Anyways, so far I really enjoy these needles, they slide really well no matter what type of yarn I have used. I will probably get the larger set eventually, so if you are still thinking about these needles, get them and enjoy! :)

Got this set for myself and I love it. As long as you use the grips included to tighten the needles, you shouldn't have to worry about them coming loose while you knit. The case is gorgeous and wonderfully helpful. The cords are flexible and the points are sharp enough. (If you like sharper points, I would advise the Hiya Hiya Sharps set.) All in all, I'm happy with this set.

These are super! I love the swivel feature and they knit about as smoothly as my Addi Clicks. I have never had them come apart like the Addi interchangeables, and the cable doesn't kink! I even love the case! I will be ordering the other sized set, as well as the adapters.
