The wider ones give little more room to put things thru. For some of my projects either 'that' or just for looks; I love them!

These are sturdy pieces. Perfect for my project. I used them for holes for hanging my home made wall file. These were punched through cardboard covered with scrapbook paper that was coated with Mod Podge. I will use the remaining pieces in scrapbook projects.
