When i was a kid (early 1980's), a REGULAR and much anticipated gift was always the giant pack of 100 different color markers. They always came in a plastic sleeve, and when I got them it was like a giant gift of creative possibility. I wanted to try every single color, but I didn't want to open the package because I just wanted to sit and stare at all the colors, arranged in manufacturer order. It was one of my favorite "toys" as a kid.
I was sort of bummed to realize they don't make them anymore, those giant plastic wallets of 100 fine line markers. Sure, there are little boxes of colors and "artist's markers", but it wasn't the same. Then I found these.
This is the *mini* set, meaning the markers are slightly shorter than your average fine line marker. But it's still a GREAT presentationthe case is quite large (we are talking 18 inches wide when folded) and the colors are bright and vivid and beautiful.
I can't speak to the durability of the markers, but sometimes it's just not about that. It's just about having 100 colors of felt-tipped pens to draw with. Anything seems possible.
I've been giving these as gifts to my daughter and her friends, but I'm seriously tempted to get one for myself, for using on my calendar and for just scribbling things don around the house. Total great nostalgia.
