I find, universally that Mod Podge makers are not very good at giving thorough information on their products. I do a LOT of transfer techniques, including image transfer techniques on fabric. And I could not get my questions answered before purchase, so I knew I would have to just try and see.
At first glace, this looked to be a great solution to other fabric transfer methods that require curing, special chemical treatments etc (I have used specially treated fabrics and run directly through the digital printer).
Here is what I did not expect:
-Medium is WHITE and OPAQUE! No matter the fabric under, this will be a slightly rubbery, white paint, that may give an undesired effect around your transfer.
You may or may not want that effect. Be sure to test this first using the image you want to transfer. You MIGHT be able to paint or mask the medium onto the fabric, to the size and shape of the transfer image you wan; and not see any of the Transfer Medium. I can see that working well, but depends on the image and fabric color, pattern, etc.
-Adds some thickness to the fabric. I would not use this on fine or silky fabrics, as the medium is a little bit the consistency of acrylic paints. You can thin it, but too much and your image wont transfer well...which could ALSO be a cool effect.
Other than that, be neat and think carefully about the fact that the medium will become part of your design/transfer on your fabric: you will have a white area on any colored fabric (great for transferring onto dark fabrics. And the Transfer Medium will cover up any pattern you may have on the fabric you are transferring upon.
I also want to say, if there ARE any hints and tip to use this product better than I did, Mod Podge is not sharing them (or was not when I purchased this product).
I know many LOVE Mod Podge and their products. I often find better alternatives across the board, myself.
Just have an idea, ahead of time, of your desired result or experiment on scrap fabrics just to see what happens (which can be fun, too). That may help you to use this transfer medium in a way that is best for you!

After several attempts to get a good photo transfer I have to conclude that this product just is not reliable enough. It is straightforward to get 90% of the image transferred but there will always be blank spots where the image did not adhere to the solution. If you are looking for a weathered / worn look that is okay, but not for new / clean look.
