Sometimes you really do get what you pay for. In this case, the thread is so cheap and poorly made that when I tried to use it with my sewing machine, the tread snapped. I thought maybe it was just a one time thing, so I tried again.... and it snapped again. After giving it the benefit of the doubt a few more times, I gave up and accepted that I had wasted money on poor quality thread.

The thread is wound onto the spool in such a way that I could not use it. Hard to explain... but, there was no place to start unwinding and when I started a thread by cutting one on the surface, it got stuck after a few turns because it was buried under other thread on the spool. The thread is of inferior quality, too.

This product is cheaply made and did not meet my expectations. I wish I wouldn't have bought them. For the price and quality I could have went to my local craft store and bought the big spools of thread and a better quality for about the same price. I would not recommend this set and I won't buy them again.

The thread is not of the greatest quality. Plus there is no way to start the thread off of the spool so you have a tangled mess if you are not careful. I needed some sewing odds and ends to repair minor tears, seam rips, hem things and accomplish small sewing tasks. This was my answer for thread. It has a variety of colors and is very inexpensive so I got what I paid for and I am OK with the purchase. It fulfills my requirements, not being a seamstress or having any sewing skills beyond the beginning level.
