My niece loves this, especially likes the small palette that holds paint and has room to mix paint to make new colors. The brushes are very durable, and each is a different size. The paint washes right off surfaces and skin. As for clothes, the paint washes off in the laundry. She loves it. It's lots of fun.

Having read some of the other reviews I have to say: if your kid wants to paint at home everyday, this set might not be right for you given the smaller amount of paint. That should be obvious, though, as the bottles are not very big.
I was very impressed with this set, especially for the price paid. My daughter is an occasional painter, and mixing the colors with her is a great experiment in color theory...there are many different brushes, and the bag is convenient for taking it places. If they included a little bottle for water, maybe a little cup and some paper it would be the ultimate traveling paint set for 4-7 year-olds.
It all comes down to: after buying this and seeing what it's like, would I buy it again? Definitely yes.

The photo shows big brushes, well the ones in this pack is very thin and tiny. Too small for a toddler/five year-old. The white dish is smaller than the palm of my hand. Was this kit made for Santa's elves? Because no one can use this. You'd think for such a high price it would be bigger and better quality. Well, it isn't either.

I bought this set for my grandson for his third birthday. I also bought more easel paper and additional paints. I like the variety of the brushes. Paint is really very cheap and a great way for children to express their creativity. He loved the set and generated beautiful pictures that day. I like the storage/travel bag. Fun for visiting with friends who also have easels to be able to bring your own brushes and paint. This was much better than some "fad" toy that will sit in the closet. I am very happy with the purchase. Bringing extra paints is an inexpensive way to bring "a little something" when grandma comes to visit.
