This set is lovely--the box is sturdy and attractive on my desk. The quality of the pencils is excellent, and the range of colors is very useful for most subjects. It was a great buy!

I am just beginning to play around with various watercolor mediums and saw these pencils for what I thought were a decent price. I had done some research online and people seemed to like them. I did a test page and while the pencils performed nicely overall, I did mark them down 1 star for two reasons. First, when I used a brush and water to lift the color, not all of the pencil colors lifted cleanly. And secondly, the colors are not quite as intense as the Derwent Watercolor Pencils (which I love and give 5 stars to). The wooden box is very nice if you plan on keeping the pencils in their original container. Becky/re-coveredtreasures.com
