I bought these pastels on a whim even though there weren't any amazon reviews (Is this a new product? I think I ended up finding a review of them on dickblick or daniel smith?) They're nice pastels. Of course my daughter dropped the box a few weeks after I bought them, but luckily that doesn't stop them from working. I just work with smaller pieces now ;) I use them with my illustration work, mostly for underpainting, which is then scanned in & manipulated in photoshop. For that they're perfect. They're soft and bright. They blend will with my other pastels (a random mixture of Rembrandt, and cheap ones from college). They show off the paper texture nicely. And they weren't super pricey. A win!
