I have been a teacher for over 15 years. This year, these glue sticks were the worst ever. For some reason, the quality of this product has gone down...perhaps that's why they can sell for so cheap. Regular paper does not stick to anything. So many of my students' glue sticks have broken and fallen out way before getting to the end. I will not recommend this brand next year.

Clumps of glue will not turn clear, dries ENTIRELY too quickly, warps the paper, doesn't adhere even the thinnest of paper properly resulting in you having to re-glue the entire project. This glue fails in every possible way it could.

We use "Elmer's Glue Sticks" for our kid's school posters and science fair displays, as well as in our small shop to make temporary signs.

I like that it is purple when it is applied because it makes it easy to see where the glue has been applied and it does dry colorless so it doesn't show through light color paper. This is not very strong glue and it is easy to remove items that have been attached using it, so we take a stick with us if we have to transport the poster or display board to touch-up anything that might have come loose.

Overall, a good glue stick for paper and small craft projects Recommended!

These glue sticks are fine if you stick together plain paper (no crayon!) and never expect to touch it again. Otherwise, go with something else.

Trying to glue to crayon-colored surface is a complete waste of time.

Be prepared to hurrythe glue dries incredibly fast.

Don't touch the project againotherwise, the glue releases and becomes 'unglued'.

I can't really think of an application this glue would be useful for, unless you have a preschooler and they want to glue a bunch of scratch paper that you'll throw away. It certainly doesn't meet my standard for actual projects for the kids, and doesn't hold up to the low expectations of our homeschool projects either. Example: I made 1's/10's/100's squares for my daughter. I glued plain white printer paper to cardboard. Almost immediately, the paper separated from the cardboard and defeated the purpose. Ditto on a money game I created. This stuff just doesn't stick at all.

These Elmer's Glue Sticks are terrible! I was using Ross Glue Sticks for pasting additional charts, graphs, etc. onto my notes for school, to make the notes more complete, and a one-stop resource for class. Ross worked great. Once my glued item was stuck onto a page, and the glue dried, the note page that the glued item now sits on, is still flexible and, most importantly, the glued-on item stays stuck on. When I ran out of the Ross glue sticks, I tried to find a good deal on quality glue sticks. I found Elmer's Glue Sticks on Amazon and on Walmart.com (better sale at Walmart online, 2 sets of 4 sticks for $3.85, including tax). Well, after a week of using these Elmer's Glue Sticks, I am convinced they are subpar. When I glue cut-outs of a table/graph onto my notes, once the glue dries, the whole area where I glued the new item onto, is curled up and stiff. And that's only if the add-on actually stays glued on. Several of my other glue attempts were coming apart from the corner of one end, like it's actually peeling off. I know what you guys are thinking...I must have not put enough glue on, or didn't pat out the air spots, right? NO! I made sure to press really hard on my later gluing attempts, making sure more of the glue got onto the sheet of paper. Then, I pressed and slid a hard-edged item from one end to the other end, effectively like pressing/rolling dough to make cookies/bread. Still, some of my glued-on items started peeling off too. This is nothing like the quality of gluing that the Ross Glue Sticks did for me. I'm going to return these Elmer's Glue Sticks and go find some Ross Glue Sticks.
