Planning a yard sale? Switch from markers to this black tempera paint and get a lot more traffic.Markers begin to fade as soon as the sun hits them; they don't write well on coated posterboard, and it takes awhile to produce even one good sign, so the task of making a lot of signs is onerous. But this poster paint works great and is a much better solution! It doesn't fade; it's not reflective so there's no glare to prevent reading; and once you figure out your first sign, it's fast to produce all the rest.
Turns out that creating signs with a brush and this paint is more fun, and way more effective at getting drivers to be able to read your signs, especially if you use the black color. So, if you want good traffic at your yard sale, switch from markers to this stuff. What a difference it made for us -our really big yard sale was virtually sold out by 11:30 and we know why -everyone commented on how easy it was to read our signs.
Use notes: We found a half-inch brush worked best for bold lettering. Also, the paint takes awhile to dry, so plan to lay your signs flat on a driveway, sidewalk or lawn until they cure.
