I am amazed at this inexpensive watercolor set. I wasn't sure about it when I bought it since it was so inexpensive. But I have been pleasantly surprised. It would be good for a student or even a professional, like myself. My work will be reproduced and am happy with the vibrancy of the hues.

This is my first set of watercolor paints aside from Crayola-supermarket-paints. I love them. I do wish the variety of colors were more varied but I assume practice in mixing will make this a non issue. My only complaint is that the box is not sealable and so moving these paints from one place to another is always a pain and requires constant re-organizing.

Before you think you need special zentangle pens like these, check the art materials you already have. These are perfectly fine pens, but I don't know that I am doing better, or more, zen tangles because I now have them. There are probably many pens already in my supply closet that are just as fine. I'll be glad to stand corrected.

Very disappointed with this purchase. Loved the idea of sampling different sizes of these pens along with the official Zentangle papers.

The ink in one of the 01's, the 03 and 05 is nearly dry, making very scratchy and unsatisfactory lines. The second 01 & the 08 are ok, (so the whole kit isn't ruined), but I'm not confident that their useful life isn't reduced as well. At first, I thought my paper was at fault but I have found that these pens are horrible regardless of the paper. Unfortunately, I discarded the packaging before sitting down & fully exploring the functionality of each pen--otherwise I'd return them.

I seems to me that this pack has been sitting on a shelf for a long time and I was the unlucky recipient of old or defective merchandise. The pencil is nothing to write home about... It's a branded Zentangle.com pencil it works fine but hey, it's an eraser-less pencil. (I would've purchased the set without the pencil--I wanted it for the pens & paper sample.)

I gave 1 star because I am happy to have a few (5) squares of the paper to sample, enough to enjoy but enough to see for myself that I have quality options in my home that are just as nice as the official papers. (Yes, the official paper is indeed lovely and someday I might splurge on some more!)

If you found this product because you are new to the world of Zentangle art and are looking for tools, I'd skip this product and order the pens directly. Better yet, if you've got an art shop nearby, stop in and sample a pen--you'll get a feel for how these pens write/draw and you'll know that you are getting a fresh product.

If you aren't sure what sizes you like the most, this set will let you try out different sizes and get a feel how they work with your personal style.

The 5 Zentangle "tiles" that are included in the set are the "official" tiles from They're rather pricy to purchase from their website in larger quantities, so these give you a taste of what they're like before you sink in over $30 (including shipping) for 55 blank tiles. Among other passions, I'm a graphic designer, calligrapher and artist. I love the feel of ink on paper. I decorate stuff every chance I get -envelopes I send notes in, shopping lists, make my own wrapping paper, shipping boxes, etc. I'm always up for buying and trying new markers, pens, ink, etc. This was my first op with these. They have good opaque coverage on light or dark paper (or on top of, say, black marker). The three metallic colors are good (silver is very bright on dark colors; I like it! Copper is good, too. Gold is okay, but a little dull compared to the others. I prefer oil-based Sharpies for gold metallic). Ink of these is matte, not shiny (unless you use a gloss spray over it). Tip is easy to control, and feel is good. It is indeed "medium" size. So far, none has gotten used up, hence I can say ink capacity is not skimpy (but I use many various markers, not exclusively these, so cannot yet tell you it's robust.) Bottom line: if matte metallic is okay with you, and the price is affordable, you'll probably be very, very pleased with the premium quality of these markers.

I love to use them for zen tangle tiles and writing on dark or light cardboard stock paper in my scrapbook and pictures books.

I am new to body painting and purchased this system for that purpose. I haven't had a lot of experience with it yet (no one wants to volunteer to strip naked and be painted go figure!) But so far, so good. Everything arrived in great shape. I played with the paints that came with it and they worked well. I've also ran body paints through it and it works great with those. I even ran food coloring through it the first time I used it (as a cake decorator I have a similar compressor at work.) This worked just as well as my trusty old airbrush compressor at my bakery. For this price and all of the items included this is a great deal on a great compressor. I am just a beginner to airbrushing so keep that in consideration. The compressor isn't to large so that is a plus. It has an automatic shut off which takes some getting used to. I also prefer to keep it on the floor when I am using it as I could see the potential of it vibrating off a table top if not secured into place. I would say the only complaint that I would have is the lack of literature that is sent with this system. If I was a total newb then I really would have had no idea what to do with it.

This is a great item!.. I have only messed around with it a little bit but very impressed. The gun does not feel cheap whatsoever.. the compressor is very quiet I recommend this unit to anyone wanting to start airbrushing! Bought a cardboard house for 1/2 the price of this product at the Christmas Tree Store. Kids loved playing inside the house which had a roof and windows. I think they liked being in an enclosed space that they could go in and out of. They also spent a lot of time decorating the house. When that fell apart, I bought this product on Amazon. Kids did not seemed to be as engaged with this product. I think it is because this product does not have a roof. The towers on the corners did not stay upright as well as depicted on the cover of the box.

I have a friend who is another glass artist who owns a number of kilns, and this one is her go-to kiln for fusing glass pendants and cabochons. It has a number of nice features;

-Its a muffle kiln which are much more durable than firebrick. The interior of a muffle kiln is usually made of ceramic and is all one piece.

-Its digital so it takes a lot of the firing guesswork out

-The shelves just slide right in so there is no need for posts which take up valuable space

-It comes with an extra heating element which is nice. Those are always bound to go out at some point, especially if you are firing around the max temperature often, and in brick kilns they are much more tedious to replace.

-Finally, for a digital kiln there is no beating that price.

Their customer service is very helpful and friendly. My kiln died a few nights ago and so I panicked (I had pendant orders to fulfill for customers) and hopped online and ordered this one. The next day my friend was able to get my kiln working again and this seller had no problem cancelling my order. As I start getting busier down the road I am definitely going to purchase this kiln, but the larger version that they have directly on their website.

I enjoyed using my imagination in putting these dies together to decorate greeting cards (see customer images above for a couple of cards that were created using these dies).

I use my Spellbinders dies with my Grand Calibur machine, but this die set comes with clear directions for the CuttleBug, Big Kick, Big Shot, and other die-making machines. The dies are very easy to use. For the label die (with the wavy edges) I print the text first, then tape the die over the text in order to position it correctly for cutting and embossing.

Cheap Prismacolor Marker Sets set of 120 w/ studio stacker

I bought this as a Christmas present for my daughter who is pursuing an architectural degree. The markers are great but the picture showing the vertical stacker is not what you get. What you get is a box of markers in horizontal trays. As a practicing LA and land planner I specifically bought this particular set based on the picture of the vertical stacker for the for the ease of marker selection. There was little sympathy from the Amazon supplier. Art Affinity, that sent the markers through the Amazon Marketplace, said in an email "We double checked on our warehouse. It appears the plastic trays are the stackers for the markers. The picture on-line may be an older picture. We do have someone working to correct that image." They were willing to have me refund the markers for a refund but not to supply the vertical stand. Not an option as this was a gift to a daughter who was some distance away and had already enthusiastically experimented with the product.

Just beware that what you see is not what you get.

I LOVE Prismacolor markers! I am an artist and pediatric OT. I use these markers in both lines of work. I like these markers because they have the properties of many mediums. I use them like watercolors, colored pencils and regular markers. Unlike most markers, you can layer the colors. The colors are rich and range from very deep to quite pale. It is hard to find markers that have pale hues. I recommend making a color chart before using them, so that you get an accurate sense of the colors.

The set of Prismacolor pens was advertised as a brand new set. But instead the seller sent me a make-shift set that was pieced together by a bunch of loose Prismacolor pens, and pen sets and then stuck them all in a USED tattered Prismacolor box with the stand inside. This was not a full, new product, in a new box. And unfortunately it was a Christmas gift for some one. So, I had to turn around and spend several hundred more dollars to buy a new set from another, more reputable art supplies store. I found out that the time-frame for returns had just passed, so now I am stuck with this thing. Totally fraudulent and mis-representted. This was not the product they advertised as a new set, it was a make-shift, pieced together "set", that was never really a set, put in an old torn box. And it cost me a small fortune.

If you use these decorative scissors on 80 lb. card stock or paper of a lesser weight, you should be fine, but when I attempted to cut an edge on Petaloo Glitter Paper Sheets Red White Pink and Chocolate these scissors chewed the paper, but didn't cut an edge. If I tried to use extra pressure on the scissors, they locked up and wouldn't cut at all.

Another not-so-great feature is the short length of the cutting blades on the Fiskars Paper Edgers. They will only cut 2.5" at a time, so you have to keep lining up blades to the cut edge, if you want to cut a longer length.

The decorative-edge scissors that I use most often are Fiskars 98987097 Softgrip Pinking Fabric Shears, which are quite a bit more expensive, but they cut a longer edge, and you can use them on heavier paper or cloth. Unfortunately, there isn't a large variety of edge designs in this product line.
