So, I've only recently begun twisting balloons and have gone through two different sets of balloon companies before trying Qualatex. In the earlier ones I tried (can't remember the name) the balloons were popping on blowing them up maybe on in five times. And if a yellow one popped, the rest of the yellow ones were likely as defected.

I've had one or two balloons of Qualatex pop before I start twisting, and they are also holding up much better to the really tough twists that interlock 3-4 joints. When I need more balloons, I know which company to come back to now.

On a side note, balloon twisting is much easier to pick up than origami or juggling were, although the latter two are also pretty easy at the basic level. Balloon twisting's learning curve was much shallower.

I bought a book that taught me how to make animal baloons. A number of baloons were included. They were poor quality so it was frustrating to see them explode while I was learning.

The Qualetex baloons are very good quality, don't break easy and the animals last for days and sometimes weeks.

I later found them at the local party store in smaller packages, hidden on a bottom shelf. I don't regret ordering them anyway.

Work great to make the various animal blow up balloons. Some balloons are a little difficult to blow up but they work a lot better than balloons bought from walmart or a dollar store. Those store's balloons pop too easily and do not hold their shape well when they don't pop.

I thought I ordered Genuine Qualatex Balloons but what I received was some cheap rip-off. I am a professional balloon twister who has been twisting for a little over ten year. I have been buying Qualatex balloons from a local balloon store for almost ten years so I know a genuine product when I see one. The balloons I received from Kernel Trading Inc. are clearly not genuine Qualatex balloons. The first clue is the packaging (refer the pictures I submitted). The second clue is the feel and quality of the balloons I received. I made over 100 balloon pieces for a fair using the original Qualatex balloons and only two popped (some of the balloons were back up balloon that are well over a year old). I tried to make some using the ones I received from Kernel Trading Inc. and out of the ten that I pulled out of the bag three popped while I was twisting and one popped after the piece was completed. Kernel Trading Inc. should be ashamed of their deceitful practices. DO NOT order these balloons if you are looking for genuine Qualatex Balloon are high quality balloons in general.

It's worth paying extra these balloons don't pop as easily as the cheap ones. Slight gripe is that you don't get all the colors and there is a lot of black.

I purchased this BECAUSE it was supposed to have glowed in the dark. It does not. At all. Sorely disappointed about that, but I do like the sparkle lacing.

The picture is beautiful but when you look at the canvas that you are to paint there are numbers missing and the paint pots are numbered very confusing. This picture is not even going to get the time and day from me I will let someone else paint it. Very dissapointed in the whole thing.

I have done a ton of paint by numbers so when I opened the box my first reaction was great the paint is think so it will cover. But once I started painting I noticed how dark the lines and numbers are and the paint does not cover it at all I had to do more coats then with thinner paint. The package could have been shipped better since it was mashed onto a too small box but it didn't ruin the painting. The design is beautiful so I can deal with the paint issue.

When I saw this painting on line, it was exactly what I was looking for. However, I was very disappointed in what I actually received.

First of all, I love paint by numbers. I have done numerous ones, normally by Dimension Crafts. This was my first one and my last one by Royal & Langnickel. The picture that is on the front of the box seems to be the original painting. If you turn the box over, the picture of what the paint by numbers painting will actually look like is on the back. There is little comparison!! In fact, had I seen the back photo, I probably would not have purchased this.

The colors are not the same. Many of the details are not the same, either. For example, the sky is beautiful on the cover photo, with several shades of blue, purple, pink, gray, yellow, orange, and red. What they actually give you (and code for) is bright purple/lavendar, fluorescent yellow, and fluorescent orange. Additionally, the outlining of the sections is thick, blue lines, and the number codes are also in blue. This makes it extremely difficult to paint over in order to not have the lines or numbers show through, especially with lighter colors such as white and yellow. I've had to put 4 coats on for the lighter colors, just to accomodate this.

The only thing that is saving the day is that I always keep my paint pots from previous paint by numbers kits. I utilized some of these to create a sky that was at least somewhat realistic for a sunrise or sunset. Be prepared to do the same if you buy this product.

I'm being asked to rate this as a toy; not sure why. So as a toy I rated it 5 stars. Now for the real review: I thought the oil paint colors included would be the basic ones since they are not listed in the description. Upon receipt I found the three NOT included were white, black, and blue, three I absolutely require. So be aware of what you are receiving before ordering. The six colors included are: Cadmium Yellow Pale Hue, Cadmium Red Deep Hue, French Ultramarine (purple), Viridian Hue (light green), Yellow Ochre, and Burnt Umbre (brown). I've since ordered paints that included the primary colors everyone uses. The rest of the set is as expected--plastic palette, 3 canvas boards, wood easel, etc, as pictured. Good (almost) basic set for the price.

This set does not include everything you need to try oil painting as it may suggest. First, the color white is not included which means that you basically are only able to paint with super bright colors or colors mixed with black. You neither will be able to prepare the canvas as supposed to w/a white underlying paint. Second, it does not include cleaners for the brushes. You will not be able to get oilpaint out of brushes or even from your hand with soap; you will need turpentine. Third and last, the color from the brush shaft peeled off after the first 5 min. So, all in all not a complete set with not so good quality.

I am a serious penman, and do a great deal of calligraphy for weddings, special occasions, and other important events. I have a number of rather expensive calligraphy pens but none of them lend themselves to a rapid, smooth style. The problem is the ink flow. The little Sheaffer pens have a nice, steady and consistent ink flow and allow the calligrapher to produce nice flourishes and lettering without hesitation. If you "draw" your lettering, then the expensive pens are worth it. If you work for pay, then go with the Sheaffer...!!

I'd like to knock this down to 3 stars. The lines become inconsistent (i.e, rather thin) on certain pages of my Moleskine notebook. In contrast, my Lamy Safari pen is perfectly consistent.

So I'd get both the Sheaffers with its variety of nibs, for calligraphy practice, and the more expensive Lamy Safari (1.1-mm nib) for writing for pleasure.

I got my set for $10 at Hobby Lobby if you're interested in this product. It was a great balance of what I wanted in a fountain pen three different thicknesses (although I prefer the finest one) and four colors. It took me a minute to figure out the ink cartridges (one is not in the pen when you get it), but once assembled it writes smoothly and easily. I'm not a serious calligrapher or anything, I just wanted a nice pen for formal, personal letters and this product fits nicely for me.

Discount Sakura 34061 3-Piece Microperm Blister Card Ultra-Fine Point Pen

These Sakura pens have a dark grey body color to identify them from the commonly known Sakura pen line (that has a light tan color.)

The other reviewer for the Sakura Microperm pens obviously didn't read the label on these pens, never took the time to read label on the pens. The label on the product container tells the artist that these pens aren't for paper, they are for surfaces like acetate, mylar, plastics, thin layers of clear dried glue, surfaces the common Sakura can't stay on. Common house hold cleaners will not remove the Sakura Microperm ink, it is permanent on the surface.

I have bought several sets of these Microperm pens and used them with great success on acetate, mylar, glossy stock paper, plastic, metal, drawings covered with thin layer of PVC glue. Microperm ink will not smear or come off, yet can be corrected, covered over with gesso, opaque paint pens.

Next time, please read the labels on the product. They are there to help aid you in what the item(s) are and how they can be used. Better yet go to the Sakura pen website and search for Microperm pens' uses.

Dont buy these go with the EK Success instead. These run out of ink really fast im talking weeks on some of them and dont use them all the time and I cap them when not in use. If you need a really fine point they are good but I have to imagine there are better out there. They dont feel right in your hand. Easy never again for me. Best of luck. Cheers.

I have a friend who is another glass artist who owns a number of kilns, and this one is her go-to kiln for fusing glass pendants and cabochons. It has a number of nice features;

-Its a muffle kiln which are much more durable than firebrick. The interior of a muffle kiln is usually made of ceramic and is all one piece.

-Its digital so it takes a lot of the firing guesswork out

-The shelves just slide right in so there is no need for posts which take up valuable space

-It comes with an extra heating element which is nice. Those are always bound to go out at some point, especially if you are firing around the max temperature often, and in brick kilns they are much more tedious to replace.

-Finally, for a digital kiln there is no beating that price.

Their customer service is very helpful and friendly. My kiln died a few nights ago and so I panicked (I had pendant orders to fulfill for customers) and hopped online and ordered this one. The next day my friend was able to get my kiln working again and this seller had no problem cancelling my order. As I start getting busier down the road I am definitely going to purchase this kiln, but the larger version that they have directly on their website.

As an artist, I am happy to find that there is such a thing as glitter acrylic paint it adds a whole new dimension (or two) to painting. As one reviewer noted, it does not look like the sample, it is suspended in a clear light blue so you can get light color with sparkles or deeper color, by leaving thicker strokes. Lots of fun. This goes for all the glitter paints.
