It is hard finding the currect colors for skin tone embroidery. These spools give you a basic to skin tone color and a great place to start wheather you get the 10 or 20 spool packs. I know they make a hair tone packs as well, but have not seen this on Amazon website.

These are the best of the best in my humble opinion. I hate those skinny neck hooks that always seem to tangle up in the yarn for me. These work very well for me, and are smoothe and lightweight as well.

These hooks measured at approximately 5" which is a bit short for my preference. Though the plastic allows the yarn to glide off with ease and they are very lightweight as described, they are also a bit awkward to use. I prefer the longer lengths with the smaller hooks like the Susan Bates Silvalume Crochet Hook Set in Pouch Sizes F, G, H, I, J, K, or nice Bamboo hooks. The short lightweight plastic actually works very well for the larger hooks, such as the Lion Brand Yarn 15mm Crochet Hook, Size Q-19 & the Lion Brand Yarn 19mm Crochet Hook-S-35. Though this set was not my preference, I think these smaller plastic hooks might be more appealing to children or an adult with small hands.

Got these to touch-up paint on vintage model railroad equipment that I collect. They did an excellent job and leave no brush marks obviously since they are sponge tips. A good product.I've used these types of brushes before but found them very hard to find in this area. Only real draw-back is that they are difficult to clean but so cheap they could be disposable.

I bought these knitting needles to use as mandrels for winding wire for making chainmaille jewelry. I have a winding tool that fastens onto the end of the needle and a handle that lets me wind easily. The knitting needles are sized by millimeter which makes it handy to make rings of specific sizes. And if I ever decide to go back to knitting, I'm all set.

This set cost $13.18 and came with 16 .2oz plastic tubes. The plastic tubes are made so cheap that some powder came out inside the package and all over every plastic tube, the description says jars but they are not. None of them are labeled with what color each tube is and nothing on the package either. I will never buy anything this company makes again. So luckily I'm not color blind but I will still have to guess with some of them because there are several that look the same.

These embossing powders are the same as other powders I've used in different brands. I was a little worried about not being familiar with this brand but they work nicely. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 was because the package was very messy when I received it I couldn't find a loose lid, maybe another package leaked on top of this, but come on...brush it off before you ship it. Aise from the that, the product is great.

I'm new to heat embossing, so I wanted to try out some different colors and types of powders without investing too much in "full size" jars of the stuff. I ended up purchasing a couple of samplers containing small amounts of a bunch of different colors, and this was one of the samplers I purchased.

I'm VERY happy with it. It's pretty clear from the color of each small jar what the color is green usually means green, blue means blue, purple purple, etc. To help manage the powder as I worked with it, I took a tip from a friend who has been doing this a long time, and emptied the jar into a small disposable plastic container. I then used small plastic spoons, one for each color, to get the powder onto the stamped image. When I was done, I just used a small piece of scrap card stock rolled and taped into a "funnel" to get the powder back into the jar. No mess, no fuss.

My first project was a stamped peacock feather, and I used 4 different colors from this powder set. It turned out BEAUTIFUL! It doesn't take much to cover the image, and this powder is good quality, so it adheres evenly to the Versamark clear ink. It melts nicely into really gorgeous metallic and pearl raised colors.

Very happy with this.

I am new to embossing, and the Hampton Art embossing powders are terrific whether I'm using a stamp with not a lot of detail or a stamp with a whole lot of detail. The powder is fine enough to work with even intricate flower stamps and it melts beautifully!

This is the first cross-stitching kit that I ever bought and I admit that the designs are very pretty and the materials are of good quality. After figuring out how to assemble the stockings, they look great.

However, there were a few problems that I had:

1) My needle broke half way through the project;

2) I got double the light green floss and half of the green floss and, of course, I already ran out of green, which is essential for Christmas themes. Maybe it is just my kit, but it is a great inconvenience;

3) The instructions for assembling the stockings are rather vague. I figured them out after some thought and, at the end, they didn't work well for me. I ended up stitching rather than gluing all the pieces together and, I think, the result is great. It takes extra work though;

4) Polyester fiberfill and cardboard (which you will need) are not included. However, there is extra white floss to make the cording loops (and instructions how to make them).

Overall, these are great designs (some better than others), but getting to the final result is very time consuming and requires some extra effort and skill.

These are very cute designs, easy to make. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because some of the designs were hard to follow (hard to make out half-symbols) and it would've been nice to have clearer instructions on how to assemble the stockings.

I will make them up as tiny stockings as this is where I think their real charm lies rather than in being made up merely as ornaments.

After searching for a good way to offer some of my art and photography as greeting cards for friends and family, I finally ordered a few packs of these Strathmore Photo Mount cards.

While the cards are a decent quality (much better than the flimsy, rough ones that are available at big box craft stores...), the problem is that there is an embossed design of dots, flourishes, and sort of "floral-eqsue" elements that goes around the entire frame for the photo. I assumed the "embossed element" was simply a raised sets of lines to insert the photo into. Instead, it's a design element, and very apparent on each card.

This would probably be fine for most uses, but in case you are like me, and want something completely plain for your work/photos, this is not the right card for that purpose. Just thought you might want to know!

I went ahead and ordered Strathmore Watercolor Blank Greeting Card pack of 50 instead. No border, but no competing design.

These cards are of a nice sturdy quality with a little embossed design around the edges, which does not distract from the artwork I am placing on the cards. The photo adhesives that come with the cards seem strong and I am not worried about my artwork falling off the cards. I also like that they come with matching envelopes.

I have tried all sorts of cards for making my own, but it's the Strathmore ones that win out. They're durable if you are going to draw on them or paint on them. They're a good texture to handle, and they hold their own when you attach photos to them.

Also, they run through the printer very well if you want to personalize a message on them. Some cards make the ink streaky or blotchy. Not with these.)

I've tried a lot of brands of pastel pencils. This is the only brand that can get over soft pastels and still make a mark. They are strong and have lots of pigment. I recommend them over any other brand I've tried.

I got this product today after ordering it on Sunday. Did I mention I LOVE Amazon Prime? I have always wanted to knit and have tried numerous times to teach myself via book, DVD, etc. and never could grasp it. After playing around with these looms for an hour, I had the concept down and was well on my way to loom knitting a hat. It would have taken me only 15-30 minutes to get it right except I had multiple distractions --kids.

So far, in the past four hours, I have knitted two hats and am looking online for other projects to get started on. Please note that the instructions that came with the looms were of little benefit to me. It wasn't until I searched the web that I found a technique I could understand and run with.

I would recommend this product to anyone who, like me, could never learn knitting the "traditional" way. Also, I would recommend these looms for anyone who has arthritic problems. I have a difficult time performing a lot of tasks with my hands. They either become too stiff, cramp or ache horribly doing simple tasks. Given the size of the looms and the ease of pulling the yarn using the knitting tool that comes with the looms, I had very little problems. I did have to stop occasionally because of the above arthritic issues, however, I didn't have to stop as often as I do when typing and certainly not as often as I have to rest my hands when handwriting. I was both shocked and thrilled at the same time.

As of this writing, I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this product. I'll revisit my review after using them for a month or two.

ok Ive had these looms for just going on about a month. In that time ive made a scarf, a garterstitch wrist band and 4 count em 4 hats!!! And i tell u what, thats a hell of a lot more than i was able to do with my crochet hook in the same amount of time. the only real problem is the fact that i keep running outta material, lol!!!!
