These are excellent fabric paints. The colors are bright and vibrant, they can be watered down as much as desired, or used out of the bottle as-is, depending on the depth of color desired. They don't change the hand of the fabric unless several layers are placed at higher densities. I can't speak to the permanence of the colors on fabric, because I haven't washed anything more than once yet, but they did well in their first washing, and get high ratings on other sites for their permanence. Any paint on fabric will, over time, abrade in places just from ordinary wear and tear on the item, so long-term permanence depends on what's painted. I'm using them on applique quilts, but have also made some background fabric (skies) with them, now.

Be aware that the colors listed might not be the colors received. When I ordered these for a class, the colors listed were titanium white, ultramarine blue, buttercup, emerald, lemon yellow, black, oriental red, vermilion, parma violet and cobalt blue. The colors I received were emerald, lemon yellow, black, parma violet, cobalt blue, moss green, fawn, fuchsia, turquoise and cardinal red. After a few internet searches, I think the difference between what colors were listed in the set and what colors I received was a change in what the manufacturer includes in the color selection for the set, now. It appears the colors listed were the old version of the set, and what I received was the new version of the set. Unfortunately, I needed four of the colors in the old version for a specific class project. Per Amazon, they will be changing the listing to reflect the colors now in the set, but as of this writing they haven't yet done so. I've no idea if their stock contains both sets or not. I'm sure I'll use all of the paints I received, on other projects, I just had to order individual bottles of the other colors I needed from another source for the class project.

I've found the paints very easy to use, easy cleanup, and I could not be happier with the results on fabric. The colors mix well into other colors, also. Amazon was very gracious in resolving the issue with the receipt of different paint colors, also, which is one of the reasons I shop here.

These paints are great for painting and even dying fabrics. On their website, there are some interesting techniques you can do with them. Other fabric paints I've tried have an Irridescent quality that doesn't work for my projects. I've also found that other brands respond and dry more like and acrylic paint. The Pebeo paints act more like watercolor, but still have an opaque finish and feel like the fabric rather than an iron-on when dry. I love the colors!

I was very excited to order this product, but colors in the set did not match the description on the website. I called customer service and they processed the exchange and resent the prodcut claiming that correct colors would be in the set. The replacemnet arrived and it had the same problem, wrong colors. I sent back both sets and was disappointed that I could not keep the item since I had project in mind.

These things are great! I use them to hang wood framed bulletin boards and dry erase boards, and they work really well much better than the hardware that the boards come with. With these, I just use a cordless drill to install the hooks, then nail the nail into the wall, and hang. Simple and easy. I highly recommend.

Unlike all our other similar Melissa and Doug kits...this one is for kids OVER 8. The paint is a more dodgy acrylic of some kind and is a disaster for 4-6 year olds. I didn't read the age guide on-line. This is one of their only figurine painting kits that is not recommended for kids under 8....kinda silly since so many young kids are in to dinosaurs.

They can each paint at their own level and are happy with the end result because the figurines are so cute it almost doesn't matter how they're painted. Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program We've had the older version for years the one with the heavy plastic dome and battery power. Below are some of the improvements they've made with this "lower tech" version:

Biggest improvment: the dome no longer touches the paper in any way shape or form so no matter how much paint the kids use it doesn't stop spinning and you don't have to wash the dome every time you put in a new piece of paper.

Caveat: It's a much flimsier dome so it may not last quite as long as the original. But it's so much less frustrating (and less likely to give the kids an incentive to pull the dome off so they can keep going, which creates a huge mess)

Next best improvement: no batteries! This means that the entire unit can be cleaned in the sink without having to be careful of the motor/batteries. Plus it gives more control over the spin so that if the kids do take the dome off you can immediately make it stop spinning... which leads to...

Caveat: someone has to make it spin. So it requires either cooperation between the siblings or a grownup willing to do the pumping. But for younger kids it's a chance for the grownup to do something other than hover over them trying to keep them from putting too much paint on the paper.

It also came with far more paint than the original set did. Better bottles easier to squeeze.

Overall if you are going to buy a spinner, this version is hands down better than the battery operated version especially for younger kids. For older kids who don't need supervision you may want the battery operated one because then it only takes one person (them) to operate. But if it's going to be a group activity this is far and away the best option.

My 5 & 7 year olds love this, as well as Mom & Dad! Don't buy the refill pack with the 5 TEENY tiny bottles and paper that was too big and glossy black paper that the paint never stuck to (but the paper that came with this one was fine). I read reviews of all the other spinners that were battery-powered and I HATE battery-operated toys (I have 3 kids; I've learned my lesson!).

It can get a little bit noisey and your hand might tire a bit once they want to keep on adding more, and more, and more, more colors, LOL! Also, keep spinning it for a bit afterwards to spread the paint out more, and you don't have to keep it going; once every couple seconds actually catches the spinner faster.

They only complaint; the shield IS flimsy (like packing material) and I wish it could snap into the spinner instead of just laying on top. One bump, and there goes all your hard work. It is already bent after the 3rd use.

It was easy to get started and have success right away. Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program The Alex Fantastic Spinner is a manually operated paint-spinning machine. If you read the package and know this going in, it reduces the likelihood that you'll be disappointed.

As compared to a battery-operated spinner it is more work but there are positives about this aspect. You don't incur the cost and inconvenience of having to replace batteries. The fact that you really need one person spinning the machine while the other person adds the paint makes it a more interactive toy but doesn't take it to a frustration level that make kids abandon it permanently. Finally, as compared to the battery operated paint machines I've had the manual aspect keeps the kids entertained for a decent amount of time and then when they get tired, they leave the machine BUT THEY COME BACK. With the battery operated machine, you tend to go through all the paint the first couple of times and not really come back to it. With the manually operated paint spinner the kids seem to remember the fun they had talking and working together and ask to use it again. The cover should snap on and it is flimsy but that doesn't have a huge impact on the finished piece and you can improvise.

So, this product is recommended as long as you know what you are getting and you aren't looking for the convenience of the "on" button.

I got this product today after ordering it on Sunday. Did I mention I LOVE Amazon Prime? I have always wanted to knit and have tried numerous times to teach myself via book, DVD, etc. and never could grasp it. After playing around with these looms for an hour, I had the concept down and was well on my way to loom knitting a hat. It would have taken me only 15-30 minutes to get it right except I had multiple distractions --kids.

So far, in the past four hours, I have knitted two hats and am looking online for other projects to get started on. Please note that the instructions that came with the looms were of little benefit to me. It wasn't until I searched the web that I found a technique I could understand and run with.

I would recommend this product to anyone who, like me, could never learn knitting the "traditional" way. Also, I would recommend these looms for anyone who has arthritic problems. I have a difficult time performing a lot of tasks with my hands. They either become too stiff, cramp or ache horribly doing simple tasks. Given the size of the looms and the ease of pulling the yarn using the knitting tool that comes with the looms, I had very little problems. I did have to stop occasionally because of the above arthritic issues, however, I didn't have to stop as often as I do when typing and certainly not as often as I have to rest my hands when handwriting. I was both shocked and thrilled at the same time.

As of this writing, I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this product. I'll revisit my review after using them for a month or two.

ok Ive had these looms for just going on about a month. In that time ive made a scarf, a garterstitch wrist band and 4 count em 4 hats!!! And i tell u what, thats a hell of a lot more than i was able to do with my crochet hook in the same amount of time. the only real problem is the fact that i keep running outta material, lol!!!!

These are very thin and flimsy like thick wire at best. Previously ones I bought this size at our local hardware were thick and very hard to pry open. But regretably those solidly built ones this size are impossible to find in stores any more. These will maybe do, but they are very easy to pry open, and since I use them to hang my dogs tags it is possible that it may get caught on something and easily pulled open or separated, and create a hazard for my dogs.

Considering that, I am not sure at this point what I am going to do with them.

Got mine from Doorbusters Direct and they are unusable for my business. These are the kind of flimsy keyrings that get attached to your keys at car repair places and by valets. Easily bent with your fingers. Wouldn't put anything I didn't want to lose on them. Mine went straight from the packaging to the trash.

This modeling clay is exactly what I was looking for. Since I am making claymations I find this very useful, it is stronger than any other type of clay I have used. And it being strong is good because you don't want it to just fall over soft like a pancake. For anybody sculpturing anything I highly recommend this!

This clay beats play-doh for my toddler. It doesn't crumble, it doesn't smell, and it doesn't dry out. However, it's kind of sticky and the color comes off on your hands a little the first couple of times. We've used it about 6 times now, and it's still a bit sticky. I think I'm going to look for another brand.
