Was sadden to find one hook broken. On arrival. Package was not damaged. The hook was broke off on smallest hook. When I inspecting hook it looks like it was cracked when manufacturing. I have not contacted seller because I need the other hooks to finish rush project. They do seem to be a bit light weight for heavier project. But as I am new to these kind of hooks they are working well for me.

The pictures of this set made me think that at least the box was a nice wooden one with a felt interior. However, when it arrived I learned that the box, locks, and handle are flimsy... and the black interior is a very thin plastic insert that falls out if you're not careful. The brushes and paints are mediocre at best. I wasn't looking for something lavish with a 39.99 price tag, but I would have thought there'd be something of a "gift set" appeal... I guess I was wrong.

I bought this kit because it came with brushes and a good selection of acrylic paints. The brushes were great and a good quality, I had more options than I needed. I also liked the colors it came with. I just blended multiple colors together to get the exact color I wanted. I did have to buy an extra white paint from a store because I ran out. The tubes are small, but it's enough to get you started.

I am a beginner with embriodery so I was happy and surprised when I came across a Aunt Martha's Iron on Transfers. The instructions are very simple and work very well when followed. In addition to this the pattern provides instructions on basic stitches that can be used for all the transfers and a DMC color guide for choosing the right color embroidery floss. Until I found Aunt Martha's tranfers I was convinced that embriodery was becoming a lost art. As long as these patterns are around there is definately a "Stitcher's Revolution".

I wanted just a little pan of watercolors in neon colors for doodling and after coming up with nothing at the local craft stores, I just went ahead and ordered these. The watercolors are okay (they are truly kids' watercolorsnot a great consistency, not very blendable, etc.) but I'm shocked at how little there are of them! It's like someone just painted a thin coating of watercolor at the bottom of each little pan. I guess I'm used to the Crayola watercolors (still one of the best on the market!) because they actually give you a nice little brick of watercolor in each pan.

I'm a polymer clay nut. Texture is an important element in creating jewelry and artwork from polymer clay. This handy little box is packed with some basic texturizing tools. It has four basic plastic texture sheets, numbers and the alphabet as well as pretty much everything you would find on a keyboard. Additionally it contains some metal stamps to make impressions on clay. The stamps will last forever. The plastic sheets will hold up for a while with careful use. All in all a nice beginning set for anyone who prefers to have some basic implements when texturing or stamping clay. Of course, you can also look around the house and find plenty of things that will do the trick of improving the look of your clay pieces.

Ok, so I know that many people will be buying these paints for their kids. I'm sure the kids will have lots of fun with these, because they are really vivid, but that's not how I used them. My partner and I hung a blacklight bulb over our hotel room jacuzzi and painted eachother (and everything around us). Even though these aren't body paints, they showed up vividly on our skin. Additionally, even though we both have sensitive skin, neither of us had adverse reactions to the paint, despite leaving it on all night.

You may have also noticed that I said blacklight bulb. We didn't even have to use a real blacklight, just a bulb Sunlite SL20/BLB 20 Watt Spiral Energy Saving CFL Light Bulb Medium Base Blacklight Blue (also from Amazon) plugged into the hotel room lamp. I've heard mixed reviews about the bulbs, and supposedly they aren't as strong, but this paint showed up great anyway.

Another great bonus was that it washed out of literally everything. I was wearing white fishnets and white lingerie the whole time and it got all over, but a quick handwashing with some bleach and stain remover got it out in a snap, even several days later. The preliminary cleanup of the hotel jacuzzi and surrounding walls the next morning was quick and easy as well. And yes, we left the maid a big tip.

This is great paint and easy to clean! I had kids finger paint pictures for my daughters glow party and we hung them on the wall until it got dark and we turned on the black light so they could see them come to life. They were so excited.

I decided to build a small disco for my kids last winter. Every Saturday night they have friends come over and this added a whole new dimention to our family fun times. Here is a list of what I bought from Amazon. All of this is still in perfect working order after almost a year of use. The moror is soundless and spins at the perfect speed. The strobes work well and will cause the required "where am I" feeling if left on too long. The Black light is strong enough to make anything 20 feet away glow brightly. Our living room is 20x 20 and with the lights out, the room is lighted perfectly.

I took a 10 ten foot long 1x8 board from home depot and placed the motor and mirror ball in the center. I placed the spot lights approximatle 2 feet to each side, with tthe color gel caps. The mini strobes are placed about 1 foot behind those. I put the Black light on the wall and ran all the cords to the wall mounted Power switcher so we can controll all of these with a flip of a switch. Mounted this boad accross my rafters with hole drilled into board so the cords could pass through and be hidden. I am not a DJ nor do I know what is better or best. I can tell you that we are happy with all these items and when kids come over they squeel with delight. Cant ask for more at this price.

I have a Sizzix Big Shot and I am so impressed with this die set. Not only can I use the pieces together, but I can also use them with other flower and round dies I have to make seemingly infinite types of flowers and other shapes. The set is very well-made and cuts through fabric, craft foam, cardstock, Con-tact paper, cork, even thick, fiberglass-reinforced double-sided tape.

For the reviewer who didn't have any luck with it cutting felt, I wanted to offer a couple of suggestions: with many dies I have, when cutting through thicker fabrics, I often have to place a piece of cardstock over the felt and, depending on the material's thickness, sometimes even must stack my Big Shot with an extra layer of chipboard. Also, as I'm sure everyone knows, all felt is not created equal. As with fabrics, more tightly-woven felt cuts more easily, in my experience. If that still doesn't work, there are many stabilizers (tear-away, iron-on, dissolvable, etc.) you could attach to your material prior to cutting.

I have used the die cuts many times already!. Using the six dies with different papers and other embellishments makes each card look very different. The cuts can be layered or used on their own so well worth the money. I keep them in the small zip baggie they came in which is really convenient for storage. While most of us know better than to assume that the photo on the front of a toy box is an accurate representation of what's inside, this one was WAY off. First of all, the photo on the box shows two kids catapulting boulders at the "fortress" forts they've built. The blocks look somewhat large in the photo. When these blocks are actually made, they come out about 1/3 of an inch tall. The boy hiding behind 4 and 6 stacked blocks pictured on the box would have to be about 2 inches tall to hide behind this many blocks. So the idea that kids can make a fort with this set is ridiculous. The set comes with just a few cups of building material. What can be made with this set is forts for action figures, army men, and anything else a few inches tall.

This set comes with a large piece to set everything up on that looks like a kind of board game. Definitely keep your blocks on this board. I learned the hard way what happens when you set these blocks on anything else. The substance they are made of caused the shiny surface of my coffee table to get a dried out and cloudy look to it, everywhere the blocks were sitting. I've been Pledging the table like crazy to try and fix it.

My son was excited at first to get this. He was beyond eager to set it all up and try it out. He meticulously added the clay/sandy like material to the molds to create the blocks. Once in the molds we left them to dry out over night. The next morning they wouldn't release from the molds. So we waited until after school that day, in the afternoon, to try again. They still didn't want to come out easily, so we started banging on the molds to get the blocks out. When we finally did get them all to release, we found they were still a little rubbery. This might be how they are supposed to stay. Humidity shouldn't be what the issues was, since we live in a very northern climate and the weather is already quite cold here. The air is very dry right now, so I was surprised these blocks didn't dry out much faster. Even days later some of the blocks are still not what you would call dry.

After the blocks were molded and everything was ready, my son was excited to start "building" the forts. His interest quickly disappeared when he realized that there was hardly anything there to build. He had basically made clay/sand blocks the size of Lego's, and only had a few of them. The most fun to be had with this set is filling the molds with the material. That's about it. It's been sitting out on the table for the past few days, and he goes back to look at it every so often, with a sort of confusion, wondering exact what he could do with this set to play with it. He seems to want to play with it, since it's a new toy. But he finds there's really nothing he can do with it. If I had to say one positive thing about this set, it's that the catapults do work. They fling tiny things all the way across our living room. However these are actually too strong for using what they are intended for. When you try and build a fort and use the catapult to fling something at it to knock it down, it overshoots the target by about 5 feet!

You get a gritty playdoh which you can use in multiple mods from castle parts to tiny soldier molds.

The Playdoh is called Morhpix which is easily moldable and just like Playdoh but with more grit.It can scratch your tables and hardwood floors due to the texture unlike regular playdoh.

It comes with catapults and a play mat, molds, and two Morphix containers.

It is fun to play and my kids used it all day the first day they got it. After the novelty wore off they never looked at it again.

For parents it's kind of painful to clean up and you want your kids to play with this outside or you'll end up with the gritty Morphix playdoh stuff all over the carpet or floors.

Overall,

Good for an afternoon of fun but not really worth the money.

I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because at least it is a construction toy that has three little tubs of clay (gritty clay) and a set of molds. Other than that, the set is a bomb. The clay is called Morphix, and the directions warn you explicitly that Morphix is abrasive and may damage surfaces (like tables, floors). For the intended age range, I'd rather have a product that does not require clay police. The molds themselves are very small, and the finished product does not, in my view, measure up to what appears on the box cover. When using the molds, the directions suggest turning them over and tapping them to get the clay out, but sometimes the clay just gets stuck. I don't mind that kids have to wait overnight for the clay to dry; we have plenty of building sets that require days to complete. But the whole result is underwhelming. The catapults are cheap and don't work terribly well. The play-mat is small and just part of the cardboard box. I think you'll end up finding this set deeply discounted at an arts and craft store near you.

I am not sure they've ever read the official rules for playing the game, but tend to make up their own battle rules after spending a very long time (in little boy time) carefully building their fortresses. Sometimes they spend so long building their creations that they never get around to trying to destroy each other. The game includes a material that is like a combination of clay and play dough. It's not too sticky and is easy to clean up. It will dry out if left in the open, so make sure kids know to close the containers properly. You also get a playing area, several molds, and catapults to launch projectiles at the other player's fortress. Games in the series can be combined to give a larger playing area and more building options with the various molds. As a parent, my favorite things about this game are the creativity and strategy kids can use to build their own fortresses and the amount of time they will stay occupied while doing so.

It's not simple play-doh, but rather it's gritty like sand is mixed into it. It says not to get it on furniture and the like because it can scratch the finish.

So the concept is that it provides molds to make two different fortresses, then battle it out using the catapults. You get three colors of clay, the molds, and the box doubles as a play mat. The clay is supposed to harden, but it never hardens fully. Add to that two additional problems: The molds stick to the clay and don't release it. The molds are really durable and heavy duty, but this means you can't bend or twist them well to release the clay. Therefore, I couldn't get the pieces out without destroying them.

That was a real disappointment after waiting overnight and then some. This is where the overall concept is flawed. Most kids won't want to fill the molds, then wait multiple hours as it instructs. It says not to add water to try and re-hydrate the clay, so I'm assuming that if pieces break, crumble or get lost, you'll need to buy additional clay instead of adding some water and re-forming.

Between the clay not coming out of the molds in one piece, not being able to try and reuse it, and the fact that your kids will be shocked to learn they are expected to put everything in the molds then wait a few hours before playing, I don't recommend this product.
