Was sadden to find one hook broken. On arrival. Package was not damaged. The hook was broke off on smallest hook. When I inspecting hook it looks like it was cracked when manufacturing. I have not contacted seller because I need the other hooks to finish rush project. They do seem to be a bit light weight for heavier project. But as I am new to these kind of hooks they are working well for me.

Hero Arts Woodblock Stamp Set, Messages From Your Teacher Review

I thought that they'd be bigger but it's fine. The 2.5"X1"X3.2" that they give means the entire set is that big. The "Homework" stamp is 1.5" (long) X1" (tall) X3/4" (wide) and all the others are 3/4" X 3/4" X 1". The print on the stamp labels are colored, not black as pictured, but since the stamp is whatever color you use, it's really irrelevant. Stamp set comes in a little plastic box. The stamps are indeed deeply cut so they should make a good impression. I got these for a friend of mine who's a first year teacher to-be, so I haven't used them myself. My only concern is that some of the letters will run together since they're so close together on the stamp itself.

I've used these a few times on both 22 and 24 gauge copper sheet (to try them out,) and they weren't the worst I've ever used, but they are definitely not my "go to" stamps. The moon and the star make decent enough impressions, but the sun stamp takes quite a bit of finesse! I tested the stamp several times on copper first until I was satisfied with my striking technique, and still ended up ruining a sterling piece I was working on. The trouble is in the detail. While I frequently use highly detailed design stamps, this particular one tends to skitter across the metal (even when it's taped down to my bench block.) This problem could just be me, but this is the only stamp I own that I have trouble with. Anyhow, if you're looking to get a budget set, these might be worth grabbing if only for the moon & star stamps just make sure to strike hard!

I have a lot of complicated ,'adult' coloring books. Stuff like dragons and Indian Mandalas. I needed a good set of colored pencils, that did not cost an arm and a leg, to enjoy coloring these pictures. I find it helps with stress and keeps my creative juices flowing. The pencils blend well so the colors you can make are endless. To blend you can use an eraser, your fingers, put one color right on top of the other, my cat got into one project just by rubbing her nose and paw on a color she really liked.

I will advise to put the pencils in the freezer for about 30 minutes before you sharpen them, just like you would an eyeliner. You get a much sharper tip when the 'lead'? is icy cold. The box and plastic tray they came fell apart right away. But that's not why we buy colored pencils. As long as the price stays the same, I will buy them again.

It is a compact, all around set. It has almost everything my little boy needed for his art class and it is easy for him to keep everything neat and manageable.

The 2 knots that hold everything together are a little tight so he needs my help to open and close it, which I don't think is a big deal and the chalks are hard to get out.

I never would have imagined that you can spray paint fabric, but you can! Simply Spray helped me change the look of an old sofa bed that I bought from Ikea over 7 yrs ago. Great product!! Wear rubber gloves and rub right after you spray. Do small areas, not the whole piece at once. This worked well for me. It is one of the best products I have ever used to make something old new again!

These clips are not stainless steel, they are chrome plated pot metal. They have no shape retention and bend without returning to the original shape, very poor quality for their intended purpose.

This is a pretty handy set. I've used it on several quilting projects and a few appliques over the past few months, and it's done everything I need in a craft iron.

Pros: The cord is a nice, long length that allows me to really maneuver around my projects without getting tied up in the cord or needing to be right next to my outlet. It comes with several tips for the iron so if I need a particular shape to get in around appliques or buttons or such, I can usually find the right tip for the job. I also like that it came with an adapter to change out the tips. I've never had a problem with scorching, so the temperature setting seems good.

Cons: I wish there were a tip that was just a little larger in this set. I understand this is a "mini" crafting iron, but most of the tips are designed specifically to get around buttons or in hard-to-reach areas, and a more "standard", flat tip might be nice.

I am very pleased with this product. I have alot of Barbie dolls small clothes and found it very easy to iron these small items. I also like all the different tips that comes with it. The only thing I did not like was the red plastic protector at the top of the handle. When ironing, the tip must be flat and I found that this protector was interferring with the garment, so I removed this protector and found it much easier to handle and ironing is much easier. Obviously, you don't want to touch the tip when hot. As far as the performance of this tool, I found it GREAT !

An excellent product at a reasonable price. I am not a QUILTER, sorry to say, but I use this Mini Iron to lightly press my newly-knit woolen swatches when I am checking the gauge. And for all my woolen swatches and knitted postcards I make certain that I place a small piece of clean sheeting atop the wool before applying the heat.

I also use the Mini Iron for applying hot glue to certain items and for flattening out wheat straw stems for items that I am making. For most of these, with the exception of the hot glue, I generally use the lowest heat setting: It has three settings, low, mid and high. It's fortunate that this adapter set has a variety of tips and styles that make this a real multitasking unit. It has FIVE tips. Actually, I find this product so handy and valuable for myself that I have recently ordered another one from Amazon as a gift for a friend.

This was the best deal I found while looking for this little iron to press doll clothes. The little stand does not work very well, but I can live with that. It's the perfect thing for getting into little places. On my first use, I used the wrong temperature setting and melted my fabric. Dumb. Read the package to learn the correct setting for your fabric. Always test on a scrap of fabric if you are unsure. It takes a while to heat up, so it might start out working OK on your fabric, but in a few minutes it might be too hot. Use low for synthetics like the package says. I have not used the hot knife yet, but I hope to try it the next time I need to cut out nylon, etc. There is a you tube video showing how to cut fabric with a hot knife, and it is very informative.

I am a sewing machine embroiderer and do frequent appliques. I brought it with the intention of using the little irons to press my little applique pieces when applied (I like to fuse mine down before finalizing with the satin stitch). Well, I found it was also perfect when I was sewing toddler John Johns....the tool was handy to have near by for the little seams, and not having to use the large iron ...Also..I used the hot knife blade for cutting/ searing ribbon so it wouldn't fray. I bought all three pieces.... the stand wasn't necessary, but handy when the iron was hot and needed to prop or cool it.... all the attachments would fit in this case...but then again, it wouldn't hold the iron itself for storage. So the case does this.

Also...this style Clover Iron has the finger guards...which it super nice, and I burned a finger on one of the regular Clover irons...

so the longer I have this set, I am finding more uses! Not just a fun toy, but a welcome tool !

Cheap Hero Arts Ink and Stamp Set, Fairy Princess

If you need to decorate birthday cards or invitations, this is a great set especially if "My Little Pony Friendship is Magic" figures into your life. It's not MLP but as of right now, MLP does not have a rubber stamp set out. There is a set from the 1980s if you can find it and you find the price reasonable.

But since I didn't find the price reasonable, I used these stamps. The kids loved them. They are Hero Arts stamps, which means the stamps are well produced. And really, the kids loving these stamps is the most important quality to me.

I am using these princess-themed stamps on the escort/placecards for my wedding reception. The theme is cinderella, so they just fit-especially the castles, the wand, the shoe and crown. We needed something to designate each person's food choice. I thought it would be a cute way to do it.

While most of us know better than to assume that the photo on the front of a toy box is an accurate representation of what's inside, this one was WAY off. First of all, the photo on the box shows two kids catapulting boulders at the "fortress" forts they've built. The blocks look somewhat large in the photo. When these blocks are actually made, they come out about 1/3 of an inch tall. The boy hiding behind 4 and 6 stacked blocks pictured on the box would have to be about 2 inches tall to hide behind this many blocks. So the idea that kids can make a fort with this set is ridiculous. The set comes with just a few cups of building material. What can be made with this set is forts for action figures, army men, and anything else a few inches tall.

This set comes with a large piece to set everything up on that looks like a kind of board game. Definitely keep your blocks on this board. I learned the hard way what happens when you set these blocks on anything else. The substance they are made of caused the shiny surface of my coffee table to get a dried out and cloudy look to it, everywhere the blocks were sitting. I've been Pledging the table like crazy to try and fix it.

My son was excited at first to get this. He was beyond eager to set it all up and try it out. He meticulously added the clay/sandy like material to the molds to create the blocks. Once in the molds we left them to dry out over night. The next morning they wouldn't release from the molds. So we waited until after school that day, in the afternoon, to try again. They still didn't want to come out easily, so we started banging on the molds to get the blocks out. When we finally did get them all to release, we found they were still a little rubbery. This might be how they are supposed to stay. Humidity shouldn't be what the issues was, since we live in a very northern climate and the weather is already quite cold here. The air is very dry right now, so I was surprised these blocks didn't dry out much faster. Even days later some of the blocks are still not what you would call dry.

After the blocks were molded and everything was ready, my son was excited to start "building" the forts. His interest quickly disappeared when he realized that there was hardly anything there to build. He had basically made clay/sand blocks the size of Lego's, and only had a few of them. The most fun to be had with this set is filling the molds with the material. That's about it. It's been sitting out on the table for the past few days, and he goes back to look at it every so often, with a sort of confusion, wondering exact what he could do with this set to play with it. He seems to want to play with it, since it's a new toy. But he finds there's really nothing he can do with it. If I had to say one positive thing about this set, it's that the catapults do work. They fling tiny things all the way across our living room. However these are actually too strong for using what they are intended for. When you try and build a fort and use the catapult to fling something at it to knock it down, it overshoots the target by about 5 feet!

You get a gritty playdoh which you can use in multiple mods from castle parts to tiny soldier molds.

The Playdoh is called Morhpix which is easily moldable and just like Playdoh but with more grit.It can scratch your tables and hardwood floors due to the texture unlike regular playdoh.

It comes with catapults and a play mat, molds, and two Morphix containers.

It is fun to play and my kids used it all day the first day they got it. After the novelty wore off they never looked at it again.

For parents it's kind of painful to clean up and you want your kids to play with this outside or you'll end up with the gritty Morphix playdoh stuff all over the carpet or floors.

Overall,

Good for an afternoon of fun but not really worth the money.

I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because at least it is a construction toy that has three little tubs of clay (gritty clay) and a set of molds. Other than that, the set is a bomb. The clay is called Morphix, and the directions warn you explicitly that Morphix is abrasive and may damage surfaces (like tables, floors). For the intended age range, I'd rather have a product that does not require clay police. The molds themselves are very small, and the finished product does not, in my view, measure up to what appears on the box cover. When using the molds, the directions suggest turning them over and tapping them to get the clay out, but sometimes the clay just gets stuck. I don't mind that kids have to wait overnight for the clay to dry; we have plenty of building sets that require days to complete. But the whole result is underwhelming. The catapults are cheap and don't work terribly well. The play-mat is small and just part of the cardboard box. I think you'll end up finding this set deeply discounted at an arts and craft store near you.

I am not sure they've ever read the official rules for playing the game, but tend to make up their own battle rules after spending a very long time (in little boy time) carefully building their fortresses. Sometimes they spend so long building their creations that they never get around to trying to destroy each other. The game includes a material that is like a combination of clay and play dough. It's not too sticky and is easy to clean up. It will dry out if left in the open, so make sure kids know to close the containers properly. You also get a playing area, several molds, and catapults to launch projectiles at the other player's fortress. Games in the series can be combined to give a larger playing area and more building options with the various molds. As a parent, my favorite things about this game are the creativity and strategy kids can use to build their own fortresses and the amount of time they will stay occupied while doing so.

It's not simple play-doh, but rather it's gritty like sand is mixed into it. It says not to get it on furniture and the like because it can scratch the finish.

So the concept is that it provides molds to make two different fortresses, then battle it out using the catapults. You get three colors of clay, the molds, and the box doubles as a play mat. The clay is supposed to harden, but it never hardens fully. Add to that two additional problems: The molds stick to the clay and don't release it. The molds are really durable and heavy duty, but this means you can't bend or twist them well to release the clay. Therefore, I couldn't get the pieces out without destroying them.

That was a real disappointment after waiting overnight and then some. This is where the overall concept is flawed. Most kids won't want to fill the molds, then wait multiple hours as it instructs. It says not to add water to try and re-hydrate the clay, so I'm assuming that if pieces break, crumble or get lost, you'll need to buy additional clay instead of adding some water and re-forming.

Between the clay not coming out of the molds in one piece, not being able to try and reuse it, and the fact that your kids will be shocked to learn they are expected to put everything in the molds then wait a few hours before playing, I don't recommend this product.
