Cavallini Postcard Set- Animals Reviews

Customer Ratings:

The postcards are very, very nice. The paper quality is top notch and the printing is excellent. You will be pleased with these cards either to send or to keep.

I received one of these postcards in the mail and immediately fell in love with it. The sender directed me here to Amazon when I complimented her on the card. I normally wouldn't spend quite this much for postcards, but they are definitely worth it. Both the postcards and the box are lovely in their design and quality.

Best Deals for Cavallini Postcard Set- Animals

In the last year I've started writing postcards much more frequently. They're hard to find in stores, unless you're passing through an airport. Then they're expensive.

This Cavallini postcard set has wonderful illustrations zebras, elephants, giraffes, camels, and five other animals. Each card is in a subdued antique-looking color, with the animal shown against a background that contains a stamp illustration and either a map or part of an old letter. On the back there's plenty of room for writing. The card stock (paper) is heavy-duty, and is not shiny so you can write easily with ink or roller point without worrying about smudging.

The tin box probably is of limited use it's not long enough for a standard pencil and not tall enough to make a really useful storage container. But it should easily recycle, and magnets do stick to it.

Whimsical, really excellent quality and a touch of old-world charm. These are excellent.

Buy The Knit Kit Essential Knitting Tools Travel SET RED Portable Crafts

Customer Ratings:

I don't buy gadgets. I would normally say, "Why pay someone else to collect items I already have!" This is the exception.

I bought one for my sister as a Christmas present a year ago. I used her's once on a recent trip we took and couldn't believe how much easier it was than my mix bag of stuff thrown together. Being able to have all your knitting essentials ready to go is priceless. Never wondering if you scissors are going to damage your knitting or pierce through your bag, or if you forgot a yarn needle is worth the cost.

I cannot get enough of this little kit. It has every must-have notion included and a little carry space to stick ones you might not already have. Crochet hook, scissors, stitch markers, needle stoppers, tape measure, thread snipper, stitch counter, and tapestry needle! All in a little hard plastic kit only a little bigger than my palm. I can't say how many times I've gone to someone's house with my knitting and gone, "Crap. I forgot the extra stitch markers I would need for the second half of this." Or, "Ugh, I was going to finish this piece here and give it to this person, but I have no tapestry needle to finish it."

The Knit Kit makes it simple, because rather than sitting there either making your own kit that would likely be far, far more messy and difficult to contain, all you do is grab the kit and go, and you know you've got basically everything you need for knitting. I can't recommend it enough. Quality plastic, excellent attention to detail, everything I want in a tool.

Very handy little set. It isn't going to have everything you need for every project, but it helps with most projects without having to carry around lots of little pieces. This set is very useful for travel. You can fly with these scissors b/c the blade is FFA approved.

I gave it only four stars because I am displeased with the counter. Mine has never worked right. The 10th digit sometimes advances, sometimes doesn't, and sometimes advances 2. I haven't seen anyone else with the same issue, so maybe I'm just that lucky! And my only other complaint is that I wish there was a place to put your name on it. When you get together with a group of ladies and a few of you have the same color, it get difficult to tell them apart!

I just said everything I know about this tool. I bought it for my wife and she carries it wherever her knitting takes her. She has given some as gifts. If you knit, it's a great tool....I think.

I have two of these and I just love them ... It is so easy to stick it in my knitting bag and I have all the essentials I need for the day. I have not had any trouble with mine everything works the way it should....the tape measure, the snips, and the crochet hook. Also the row counter works fine. I recommend this product and I am glad someone came up with this idea.

I got these to make jewelry with. Some of the pieces I use in charms and such have sharp edges and need to be filed down. These are definitely up to the task. They've also been up to some other, non-jewelry-related filing tasks (like filing down some sharp corners on a Martin's cage). These weren't very expensive and they seem to be pretty good quality. I'd definitely get them again if the need ever arose.

Excellent price, a quality product that shipped quickly! I personally use this tool set to help maintain my tattoo equipment and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to do the same, or any other delicate percision use!

Best Deals for HTS 101H0 6pc Needle File Set jeweler's Metalsmith Tools

These files are very good for the price. As previous reviewers have commented, these 5 and 1/2 inch files are not as fine cut as 4 inch jeweler's needle files. The teeth are regular file teeth, not the rasp type burrs you see on wax files and not the fine grains you see on diamond files.

They are just coarse enough to use as finishing files for wax carving and fine enough for first cuts on copper or other soft metal, which must then be finished with a finer tool. They also work on soapstone and clog up on it no faster than anything else I've used. I wonder why they have the plastic handle covers? I hold files close to the tip which makes handles redundant, and since a plastic handle cover picks up filings I always take it off. But for less than six dollars that is no problem!

See this list for other sizes and types of file. List is just for illustration purposes, I've not bought any of these from Amazon, but they look like other type files I've used, bought from other places:

* Diamond files: SE File Set Regular Diamond Needle , 2mm X 100mmx 50mm, 10 Pc

*4 inch steel files: SE 7386DNF 100mm Long Needle File Set, 6-Piece

*wax files: WAX NEEDLE FILE SET 6PC

Honest reviews on HTS 101H0 6pc Needle File Set jeweler's Metalsmith Tools

These are a very nice set of files, they are probably a #2 file, surely not a finishing file set. I was hoping for smoother. Quality is nice, rubber handles stay on and easy to pick up.

Best BDA Brass Kit, 8 Set with Tool Jean Tack Buttons Deals

Customer Ratings:

Use these buttons for several things. Great replacement button for above your fly.Take a lot more force then those sewed on plastic one you blew out anyway. Use mine to add suspender attachment points for logger type suspenders. Works great. And dudes those clip on suspenders are lame. Commit, use button type. The tool that comes with it is a little silly but can work, I just but mine in place , lay on the concrete and one good hammer strike and you built a button.

I lost the jeans button and brought this. Well it went on ok, not as easy as I thought. It did not last it became loose within one usage. I tried again, and it lasted a few wears but became loose again. The 3rd one never was tight BUT lasted a few more wears, AND guess what it fell off. Good thing there is more than one.

Went to at least three different cleaners to try to get a few pairs of jeans fixed, none of them could do it with a real jean button. the best they could do was to sew on a button for about the cost of the pack of eight of nice brass buttons. So far they have been holding up great... Easy to use. Saved my jeans and a couple of pairs of shorts....

These needles are packaged individually by size in resealable plastic bags. They are smooth to the touch and seem to be of very good quality bamboo. Even the thinnest needles, size 0, appear quite sturdy if handled properly. The value is incredble for 15 sets--you cannot be that!

Very reasonable price for an excellent selection of needle sizes: these are smooth enough to work with easily for a relative like me, but also seem sturdy (I haven't used the smallest size, but have used the US 2's, which didn't warp or bend). It is also nice that they are marked with both US standard size and millimeter measurement, which are burned into the wood and so should stay visible even after a lot of use.

Discount Clover Chibi with Darning Needles

Customer Ratings:
List Price: $4.49

This is a must-have set of darning needles for anyone who is just starting to knit or crochet, and a great addition to the established knitter or crocheter's arsenal of tools (like Clover Knit Mate Knitting Accessories Set ).

Makes a great stocking stuffer!

The case comes with three different sized straight steel darning needles, one that can double as a yarn needle to weave in your loose ends or for the kitchener stitch. The screw-on lid has a little tab with a hole that you can attach a jump ring to (I'd recommend a small gauge split ring, like a small key chain) which would allow you to attach it to a Chums Carabiner Keychain to clip onto your knitting bag with your Clover Thread Cutter Pendant, Antique Silver or other tools like a Clover Yarn Threader, or hang it on a chain around your neck to make it easy to find. The chubby case is easy to locate in the bottom of your knitting bag (My favorite is the Bagsmith Black Project Bag Knitting Craft Collapsible Storage Stand) and the screw-on lid keeps those needles where they belong, away from delicate fingers when you go digging around in your notions bag looking for something!

Additionally, the case is roomy enough to add more needles to and could even hold some small stitch markers and a safety pin if you need to travel light with your project.

I was unsure which sizes I needed, but this seems like a good assortment for a range of knitting projects. The case is very cute and the needles seem high-quality.

Best Deals for Clover Chibi with Darning Needles

It's so nice to never lose these needles or mix them up with my sewing stuff. The little case is sturdy and it's a great deal.

Honest reviews on Clover Chibi with Darning Needles

The needle sizes are a good range of three sizes for various projects. What makes this a really great product though is the case.

The plastic is brightly colored so it is easy to find when it's not quite where I thought I left it, or if it rolls out and gets buried in the larger section of my bag.

It's a nice size, can hold different or more needles if desired, but isn't too big taking up space nor too small making it hard to find.

The lid is a screw cap so no worries about it popping off and the needles going missing.

The lid also has a hole nicely placed so you can put a tie through it and then attach the needle case to something if desired. Very handy!

All in all a very nice design--a big bonus for me as I was after needles (and a set of three was perfect) with the case being a pleasant surprise.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Clover Chibi with Darning Needles

I have had one of these Chibi kits for years--and the newer ones come with a translucent body, so you can see your needles inside. (Nothing like opening it up when you are ready to do grafting and find that it's empty because you forgot to put the needles back inside!)

Here are two hints:

1. The tab on the side of the lid has a little hole. You can put a safety pin or very thin ribbon or piece of yarn through it. Then you tie it or pin it to your knitting project bag--or even inside your purse. I have mine inside a denim project bag, a small one, that I use for sock knitting. You will never be searching for a darning needle. It will be right there, and you won't lose the top as it will be tethered to your bag.

2. Bent-point needles are easier for grafting and darning, as you can lift up loops onto the bent portion of the needle. Clover makes a set of two needles that are light gold in color, making it easy to see dark yarn stitches. I put these two in the Chibi along with one of the straight needles.

Reviews of Uchida 1500-24 Brush-Tip Markers, Assorted Colors, Set of 24

Customer Ratings:

I love these markers and they are so easy to use on stamps and turn out beautiful. I am very impressed with them, although on some clear stamps the ink seems to disappear quickly, however, it is a great way to travel with your stamps and instead of lugging ink these markers are great.

Anyone who has airbrush knows that how fine you can keep a line or lines is the most important things, its a staple of an airbrush artist! I could not get the Sotar 20/20 to perform. I called Badger Airbrush Co. in Franklin Park, IL. I spoke with a lady named Joann. She suggested that I send her the brush. I did and was positively surprised at the GREAT service and cooperation that I received by dealing with Joann. I now am pleased with the airbrush. I have never received more pleasant and satisfying service than I did by dealing with Badger's LADY JOANN. She epitomizes what customer service is and should be.

This is my third airbrush that I have purchased; the other two being an Iwata Revolution and Badger Velocity. I have been airbrushing for about 10 years now and can safely say this is one of the finest tools I have bought, especially at Amazon's 80$ price point.

I use this brush for painting Warmachine models and it does an amazing job and atomizes paint the best out of my other two brushes. I would recommend if you are using a lot of one specific color that the gravity cup is on the small side. However, this is excellent for detailed work like OSL. The trigger pull on it is smooth. The lock out function on the rear of the brush is awesome. This allows you to lock in a stroke range which allows you consistent range of control.

If you paint TMM (true metal metalics) do not use this brush. The needle diameter is too small and will clog up very easily. I would recommend a .5mm needle or larger.

Honest reviews on Badger Air-Brush Co Sotar 2020-2F Large Gravity Feed Airbrush

Over the last few years, I have traded up from my Badger Anthem, to a Badger Patriot 105, and then a Badger Krome airbrush for painting my 1/35th scale model armor. I love all three, but never was able to develop the skill to free hand camouflage patterns reliably with my Krome. After seeing several youtube wideos, I decided to try the Badger Sotar 2020-2F when it was available on Amazon for a price ($69.89) less than I had paid for either of my Patriots or my Krome. As soon as I took it out of the box, I was hooked. It is much lighter and shorter than my Krome and feels like a pen in my hands and, just like a pen, I was easily able to sketch in patterns. After about 20 minutes of practice, I took on a three color schemed Syrian T-55 which turned out perfectly. I was amazed and very pleased. The lighter weight and the shorter nose of the Sotar compared to my Krome allowed me to use the full potential this fine instrument offered. The trigger movement is silky smooth and the small cup is perfect for what I need it to hold. The needle is very sharp and I would recommend using the included forked spray regulator to protect it from getting too close to the model surface. For protection, I also store my Sotar with the needle slightly retracted; a piece of cake with the ability to loosen the chuck and pull the needle back from the rear without removing the handle. It cleans as easily as my Patriots or my Krome.

My only quibbles are the relatively flimsy carboard box that it comes in compared to the standard Badger hard plastic clamshell and the shorter nose may not fit most cleaning pots / airbrush holders so you may need to add an airbrush holder to your work top. Fortunately, the gravity feed airbrush holder on my Badger TC 910 compressor works fine.

I highly recommend the Sotar 2020-F to any scale modeller looking for a superb detail airbrush at a stunningly low price.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Badger Air-Brush Co Sotar 2020-2F Large Gravity Feed Airbrush

The price was awesome, and the brush itself came to me in perfect shape. My only complaint is that it came in some cheap cardboard giftbox, instead of the hinged protective cases I am used to seeing badger brushes come in. That is minor though as my airbrushes are often on hangers and not in their cases, so its one of those no biggie things.

If you love drawing in color and you are a purist than you'd rather acquire these color pencils! Moreover they are from America, and unfortunately not sold in France. I love the Faber Castel Polychromos, and above all the Caran d'Arche Pablo, but these ones are even better!Their color is so intense due to the rich pigments, it is amazing! They are made with wax, which gives a kind of creamy colored texture on the paper, great! They are really easy to draw with, a real pleasure! These are great pencils and very good quality. Assortment though just 12 basic colors but easy to blend. Price is good too.

Honest reviews on Prismacolor Premier Colored Woodcase Pencils, 12 Assorted Colors/set

I used these as a child and have bought them for my children to use. The cores are thick and smooth. In all the years I've used them, I have very rarely found one with a broken core. The colors blend beautifully and consistently. They are more expensive than many other brands out there, but they are worth it. I believe children should use good quality color pencils, so they can learn to love coloring and art. Color pencils which don't blend well, are prone to breakage, and are hard and don't cover the paper with brilliant colors are frustrating and not worth the money saved. Because the colors blend so well, it isn't necessary to buy a large set to begin with. You can make many color combinations with these twelve pencils. This is a great way to teach children color theory. For this reason, I always start my kids with this smaller set. After a few years, I get them more colors. Prismacolor sells individual colors, so it's easy to replace the ones that are used faster, no need to buy an entire set then.

You have to sharpen them a lot. The colors were bright and did blend well but the constant sharpening was annoying. I bought some woodless color pencils instead. However the store who shipped them was prompt and packed it with care.
