I received one of these postcards in the mail and immediately fell in love with it. The sender directed me here to Amazon when I complimented her on the card. I normally wouldn't spend quite this much for postcards, but they are definitely worth it. Both the postcards and the box are lovely in their design and quality.

In the last year I've started writing postcards much more frequently. They're hard to find in stores, unless you're passing through an airport. Then they're expensive.

This Cavallini postcard set has wonderful illustrations zebras, elephants, giraffes, camels, and five other animals. Each card is in a subdued antique-looking color, with the animal shown against a background that contains a stamp illustration and either a map or part of an old letter. On the back there's plenty of room for writing. The card stock (paper) is heavy-duty, and is not shiny so you can write easily with ink or roller point without worrying about smudging.

The tin box probably is of limited use it's not long enough for a standard pencil and not tall enough to make a really useful storage container. But it should easily recycle, and magnets do stick to it.

Whimsical, really excellent quality and a touch of old-world charm. These are excellent.
