I am an amateur watercolorist at an intermediate level (most days). These brushes keep their shape, hold a great deal of water for a synthetic of their size and have become part of my workhorse brushes when I need precision and juicy color. This is a must-have item for someone who owns the Carl rotary trimmer. The blades are easy to change out and cut with precision. I use the various shapes for scrapbooking. I keep my trimmer handy and use it to cut borders and frames and to trim photos. I love the look of the different shapes on my pages. I highly recommend this product from Amazon.com who had the best price.

It is a great product. Good selection of colors and decent quality. Note this is a student grade which is fine for a beginner but if you are a professional you probably want something finer. I got this personally because I wanted to start oil painting and I made my first oil painting using this set. One important thing to note is that the white seems to go really fast! So best to get a nice big tube of titanium white with your paints (200 ml tube would be good choice). Other than that this is a terrific product. I bought two of these because of the price and they are working out just fine. I will try to add a picture of my first oil painting to show you how the colors look.

I went to Michael's to buy oil paints. I have never painted with oil paints before and really wanted to give it a try to paint some of my drawings, but i am 17 and broke and the cheapest one was $8 (the size of one of the paints in this package) i was discouraged then went online to find some affordable ones. I found these and was excited at how affordable they were so i went ahead and ordered them. I ordered them on Sunday and received them today, Thursday, i was so happy when i got home a few hours ago to a package on my porch. I opened the package and saw 12 decent sized paint tubes and (gasp) they had turquoise, my favorite color in the universe, i fell in love. I had a small canvas laying around and decided to test them out and was very pleased, i have never used oils before so i have no basis for comparison but they seemed very high quality and looked simply amazing. I will be buying again when I run out.

My mother purchased this 48-set of drawing pastels for christmas this year. As a studying art undergraduate the $15 cost of these is very nice and worthwhile.

The pigment goes onto pastel paper pretty smoothly, and allows for great blending to take place. The wide variety of colors is also great.

Some small problems I had is that these things are SOFT. Meaning that when I opened them from the mail several of them were broken in half already. Now I don't really have major issues with that, but it's just a small caveat to future buyers. Also, from an artistic standpoint there wasn't a whole lot of dark toned pieces besides the black. I didn't find any deep rich browns or purples. So if you're trying to create some realistic or high-contrasting pieces you might have to buy a supplemental set for those colors. I myself already had some other sets to take care of this issue.

Overall, I give this item 4/5 stars and I would definetely recommend this set for students and amateur artists alike!

I am not an artist and I really can't paint but for a recent project I felt an airbrush was the answer. I checked out several different brands. The Paasche name kept showing up. Price was competitive. After it arrived I found it was well packaged, instructions were easy to understand. Within an hour I was using it. I bought the double action model not really knowing what it was. It was intuitive. I have since found out that is the most recommended type. I also watched a youtube video which helped resolve questions I had.

I did not buy the small compressor because I have a large one in my shop. I wish I had bought the portable model. I have found other things to paint outside the shop and hoses won't reach.

All in all, great product. Would buy it again

These are "arts" type pens, not a permanent "work" type marker or pen. The colour assortment in this set is perfect for basic user who needs just to add a little colour to a few items that are not going to be subjected to weather or heavy use. As they contain water-based colouring medium they are not appropriate for items that will get wet. Neither are they very good for smooth, hard, non-porous surfaces such as metal, hard or dark plastics, or glass although they will leave a light mark on glass. They work well on paper without a finish, I have used them to good effect on copier paper, school notebook paper, pressed cardboard, construction paper (white ONLY as they do not show up well on any coloured papers) and even a dry-marker board where they are good for making semi-permanent lines which will not wipe off as easily as standard dry markers but can still be easily washed off.

On unfinished or tooling leather these marker pens seem to work really well. They mark easily on skin too, but wash off easily and I had no skin reaction to them even after testing them on forearm for full day; but wouldn't use around eyes or mouth as no idea what is in these as their colouring medium.

The pen construction seems to be good, but they are relatively LONG, 7.5" without cap.

the very fine brush tip is a "brush" tip and has small amount of flex in it so the very sharp point "gives" and you get a much broader line than the extremely sharp tip would first suggest even under very light pressure. That said the tips on both ends do seem to be very strong and not prone to fraying or "mushing".

All worked, none were dried-out or hard to start working. How much marker fluid they actually have in them and how long they will last, I cannot comment on due to limited use so far.

Overall seem to be excellent little "niche" product with good quality fine points.

I use this product primarily as a pen case and not as a pencil case. It is nice, strong and well-made. However after receiving it, I was shocked at the size and no way, I told myself I can put 48 pencils in there.

As you can notice in the product description (surprisingly there are not many explanatory pictures) they only way you can stuff 48 pencils in there is if you force three pencils in a single slot. That in my opinion is not very practical. On the other hand the compact size of this thing means portability.

In a nutshell, this is a nice product for the price if you ignore the 48 pencil claim*. If reaching that number (48) is crucial to you should consider other options.

* I am not inclined to say this is false advertising because the universe of pencils has many inhabitants of different shapes and sizes it is as best a vague marketing ploy.

the image on the packaging is not what the inside looks like. there is only one row of elastic where the image on the packaging shows 2. i doubt this could hold 48 pencils. the elastic is sewn on flat so its pretty hard to get stuff in an out.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! My teenage artist used to carry her pencils in original tin all neatly organized by rainbow color. One day she dropped the tin and Aaaargh, pencils everywhere!! Thought there has to be a better way. This is it!! Portable, great quality, and they stay put even when you drop the case!! LOL Do recommend buying more than you think you need. I had to buy a second one when she got more pencils and blenders. My little one thought it was so awesome she had to have one for her colored pencils (opted for the less expensive canvas but still a great quality product). I loved the look of this stocking when I first saw it and it looks even better when finished. Like all Bucilla products this is not for the novice and is very time consuming. After doing around ten of these kits I found this one to take a little less time than others I had completed in the past (maybe due to the large snowman that dominates the whole middle of the stocking). Directions were very thorough and everything you need to complete the stocking, minus the stuffing is here for you to use. When I'm done with the front of these stockings I use an iron on fabric adhesive (Wonder Under) to apply another layer of fabric over my stitching, both to hide the stitching and to prevent it from being torn out when placing items in the stocking. Some of the details were very labor intensive-candy canes, the scarf, etc. and overall it took me around 40 hours to complete it. If you're looking for an instant product these stockings are not for you, if you're looking for something that will turn into an heirloom then these are the stocking kits for you. The vibrant colors and eye catching details are something your loved ones will cherish for years to come.

I must say that the stocking turns out great and will last a very long time. It isn't that hard to make, it just takes forever. Buy these with plenty of time to spare, unless you have nothing else to do. There are a lot of small intricate pieces to add to make it look as good as it does. This is not something you can do for a nice quick project. With all that said, they are beautiful when done.

First of all, it needs to be well advertised that the punches don't work without the base. The punch I want ed was not part of the kit and it was only once I received it that I realized that. Then I had to buy a kit with a punch I didn't want in order to get the base because the base is not sold by itself. When I finally got the kit, the guides for the punch I wanted wouldn't fit in the guide slots. The were too big, which made it so the paper couldn't slide through the punch. Luckily, with a razor blade and alot of patience, we were able to cut the guides down so they fit in the guide slots. Now I have a working punch. As I said, I love the idea, improved advertising and manufacturing are needed.

Some of the pieces that snap in to make the guide for the punch are printed crooked. So its impossible to line up your paper properly. I have not written to AC to see about getting a replacement piece, but I was definitely disappointed in the poor quality. It basically ruins that whole punch. Aside from that I am pretty happy with this purchase. WIth the cost of border punches, you can't beat the price.

It's not like you will find any surprises in the designs on these punches, but they do offer some subtle changes to designs in the tried and true scallop arena as well as some other fun border designs. The most appealing aspect of this punch set is the interchangeable parts. It cuts down on the number of large punches you would have to store, because you only need one punch body and then the dies are relatively small. As far as use goes. The punch seems pretty durable, but there could be slightly better alignment in cutting the continuing pattern. Because the dies change, you have to match up to the edge rather than the pattern like on other border punches. This has caused a little bit of overlap, but nothing terrible.

This handy hole punch makes it possible to design your own Spiral bound notebooks! Binding machines can cost from $75 to over $300, but this punch used with the American Crafts Knock Outs Border Punch System Starter Kitis just as effective for much less money. It does take a little more time, patience, and manpower however.

The downsides to this item are that you can only punch up to 4 sheets at a time without the punch jamming. Also, the punch is aligned for the holes to be far enough into the page that you need at least a 15 mm coil to bind any project anything smaller and the pages won't turn properly.

Much like any regular hand-held hole-punch, this can only go through certain surfaces and materials, so it is not meant for large projects or professional projects.

I've turned some old postcards and baseball cards into mini-notebook covers, using old scrap paper that I've cut to size as filler. It's a great way to recycle scrap paper and a fun item to make your own scrapbooks, notebooks, journals or other art projects you can use this to bind them yourself!

For anyone who does like this and does not know where to look for binding coil, I recommend and I also recommend that you order *at least* 14 mm bindings (or wider, depending on how thick you plan on making your books)

The pencil colors are beautiful with a wonderful variety of 60 colors. I am just starting out doing watercolors and was able to do window reflections with the variety of colors in this set. I feel like a kid again that just got the big box of crayons. I ordered with normal shipping and received them earlier than originally quoted.

I love these pencils just as much as I love Faber-Castell's Polychromos. They are thick, chunky and a pleasure to hold. The packaging is the same as the Polychromos and the pencils are thick-cored, self-coloured, gold-detailed and have hexagonal barrells. Again, I am fortunate to have the 120 box and you can see that covers pretty much every colour and shade that you would want.

But these are watercolours and you get to play with them a little more. The same strong pigment, the same laydown quality, but with the added joy of being able to add water to obtain painterly effects. Perfect for applying a solid base colour and painting on the top with dry pencils.

I seen projects using this Spellbinders and they look beautiful, so I decided to buy them to create my own cards. I find that the die templates do not cut that easy and I found myself passing it thru the Big Shot multiple times. It's not as easy to use as I thought but nevertheless I like them a lot.

Be prepared to practice until you get the hand of it.
