It is a compact, all around set. It has almost everything my little boy needed for his art class and it is easy for him to keep everything neat and manageable.

The 2 knots that hold everything together are a little tight so he needs my help to open and close it, which I don't think is a big deal and the chalks are hard to get out.

But overall, we both love it.

I looked for a bound book without ruled lines.

There are plenty of 'sketch books' with wire spiral bindings, but I don't need that fabulous watercolor paper and every spiral binder I have is quickly crushed so I ignore them.

Yes, the cover is 'cardboard', but it creases easily because it's not very stiff. Unpacking it, my cuff caught on the cover corner and folded over.

Very thin 4.5mm (3/16")for 80 pages. What tricked me was the smaller pictures of the books in their 'set of three' packaging. They look thick.

I didn't buy the 8.5" x 11" XLarge because the size is harder to carry, but I will as soon as I'm done with this.

These little books are perfect for on-the-go!

I use one for each class all my notes/sketches in one place. No bulky notebooks.

Perfect to stuff in your purse/bag and bring along.

The paper is thin watercolors make it pucker but for sketching, pen/ink, colored pencil it's perfect.

I really need shoulder pads. These helped so much with a jacket I wanted to wear. Pads just balance your shoulders in relation to your hips. They can make an outfit be most becoming. It is hard to find large shoulder pads so I was very glad to be able to order them. Definitely would recommend. Good price too.

These pads are really large and bulky. I look like a football player in them. If you're looking for subtle, these aren't for you.

I was surprised at how good this little stand is. The plastic construction is quite solid and it holds almost 100 pens/pencils/whatever. Also, unlike similar pencil stands the top level is *low* so it will hold short pens and pencils very well too.

I bought a second to organize small tools like screwdrivers and scissors on my work bench.

Cons: Minor complaints.

The holes are all uniform and just about the right size for a regular pen or pencil. They will hold a full sized Sharpie but the fat markers and pens with a fat rubber grip ( popular these days ) don't work.

I use pencils a lot for drawing etc and once they get shortened down to 3" this stand won't hold them.

The frame snaps together and if you were to lift a fully loaded stand by the top grid, it *might* pop off.

This desk stand is perfect for those of us who paint too! I enjoy oil painting and thought I'd try this to hold my wet brushes full of paint. Sometimes I'll have 6 8 or more going at one time and was tired of laying them down or having them roll onto the floor. This stand is perfect. Easy to assemble and very sturdy.

I could not believe that this tiny little plastic cube actually holds 96 brushes/pens but it does and its great!

The only reason i took a star off is because i would have preferred it to be a tad bit taller and had a few variations on the hole sizes for better support on thinner brushes.

The plastic is very nice and thick so it will definitely last a while and i don't have to worry about the middle squares ever breaking; it was very easy and fast to assemble.

I would definitely recommend and buy again!

It is really hard to find a colored pencil/gel pen/ etc. stand that doesn't cost an arm and a leg! This snaps together nicely. It's still a piece of plastic, and how much does plastic cost anyway? Shouldn't be that much. I wish it was made from recycled material. I wouldn't mind the price then.

This is a must-have item for someone who owns the Carl rotary trimmer. The blades are easy to change out and cut with precision. I use the various shapes for scrapbooking. I keep my trimmer handy and use it to cut borders and frames and to trim photos. I love the look of the different shapes on my pages. I highly recommend this product from Amazon.com who had the best price.

I use the easel daily. Love it. The paints, not so much. I prefer working with the paints from my other sources instead of these. They are a little too thick for my acrylic tastes. The palette is wood, so I'm afraid of ruining it, and warping it, so I don't use it. The brushes are great, pointy brushes. Definitely worth the price.

I expected this as well due to the previous comments that made me aware. Other than the obvious, it was good. I was able to paint a beautiful Nemo like fish under the sea for my nephew's room.

I purchased this as an art table for my 10 year old daughter. Looks better than pictured; more like a nice piece of furniture. Pencil ledge prevents pencils and erasers from rolling off. My daughter uses the included stool although, if she decided she'd rather use a kitchen chair, the table would go low enough to accommodate her height. Tilting the table is easier if there are two people available because the shaft of the knob catches on the metal slide; I really need two hands, one to hold the knob and the other to advance along the grooves in the metal slide. There are always at least two of us around to help when the tilt needs to be changed, so this hasn't been a big problem.

Overall my daughter is very pleased with her art table.

Let me preface this review with one statement: I am NOT a polymer clay expert. I don't even play one on TV. I love to play with it and a few times, I've somehow managed to create things that are actually recognizable. However, I will be the first to admit that "claying" is all I do.

I love the entire line of products Lisa Pavelka has partnered with JHB to create. I think I've tried almost the entire line and I have yet to find a product I dislike. (I have some Magic Glos, but just haven't tried it yet.) In her own right, Lisa Pavelka is an AMAZING clay artist if you have an doubts, I encourage you to check out any of her books. (Especially awesome is her "The Complete Book of Polymer Clay"...WOW!) I had purchased some other waterslide transfers her line offers and was so impressed, I opted to get these. They were sold out when I originally purchased the other transfers and now I know why. These are adorable but here's the outstanding part they are not so adorable that they fall into the "cutesy" category. The designs in this package are extremely versatile.

Bottom line: If you are looking for something to add that special addition to your latest clay creation, look no further. This set is the most versatile I've seen I've already explained how visually versatile the images are, but it goes beyond that. Although these were created for use on polymer clay, don't let that hamper your use of them. These great little things can be used on numerous surfaces...and adding great imagery (especially for those of us that can't draw) couldn't be any easier. If you want to make sure they stay on through the ages, and are (at least) water resistant, I recommend using a clear sealer/top coat. Awesomeness!

I brought a set of these back from Europe for my then preschool-aged child.

They are quite thick pencils (5/8 inch diameter) with a smooth, creamy consistency to the "lead" -almost more oil pastel feeling.

Ours are still of quite a useable length after several years of light use. I just ordered a few more because we'd lost/used up some necessary colors (red and black.) I love these things, maybe even more than my kids do. They like Lyra Color-Giants thick colored pencils the best.

This is a nice set of needles. The case is ver nice and the needles are straight with a nice point. They are just a little heavy for my taste. I didn't notice this when I first bought them but now that I do I wish I would have sent them back. If it doesn't bother your hands to use needles with a little weight to them then you will love this set. It's made well and the case an needles are very attractive. My hands did not like the weight.

My 11 year old bought this with her own money, for her sister who was adopted by another family. The first time it was worn, within an hour the metal was stretching on the charm and broke. I don't mean the loop holding it to the chain, but the charm itself! By the time we got it back and were able to request a replacement, it was over 30 days. They told us we were over the 14 days and that they would not return or replace it. Now I understand that I am a fault for not checking the return policy, however, this is still an inferior product, so I thought I would let you all know....yes it's cute, but it will break, as the metal is too soft.

Bought the wrong item. This thread stand is for the real large spools of thread, not the small (1100) threads for embroidering on my home embroidery machine. The thread stand is much larger than I anticipated. I suppose it would work but it's too big for my use. It's gray in color..I know, a bit picky but I prefer the white thread holders that are smaller and fit behind the machine. Will be returning it.

Save your money! This product arrived chipped at the base and I considered mending it, but the thread base itself was very wobbly. When I realized that it would cost too much to send it back, I decided to use glue to repair it, but I was not happy. Don't want you to make the same mistake.

This is my third paint-by-number in the past month, and I find them so relaxing. I get so involved with painting these that hours go by without my noticing, usually when I should be doing something else! Yes, many of the sections are tiny, but I found the perfect small brush at my local craft store so I can paint those. As I'm over 40 now, I find I need reading glasses to identify the numbers on the itty bitty spaces. This one has taken much longer than the first two, but I think the intricacy of the design makes it much more realistic looking. One thing I don't like is having to go over the lighter colored areas multiple times to cover the lines/numbers I'm still doing this even though the painting is essentially finished (Ok, I'm a bit obsessive). I do like that I don't have to mix the paints like other kits will have you do! I have gotten many compliments on this, people really can't believe it is a paint-by-number kit!
