I brought a set of these back from Europe for my then preschool-aged child.

They are quite thick pencils (5/8 inch diameter) with a smooth, creamy consistency to the "lead" -almost more oil pastel feeling.

Ours are still of quite a useable length after several years of light use. I just ordered a few more because we'd lost/used up some necessary colors (red and black.) I love these things, maybe even more than my kids do. They like Lyra Color-Giants thick colored pencils the best.

These are soft and yummy. Rich in color. Scratch on to all surfaces, leave as a mark or blend with water or gesso or acrylic. Truly delightful, my new favorite.
