I wasn't expecting much from a $7 dry erase board but my 2 year old loves it and that's enough for me. It is by far her favorite drawing item at home or traveling. It comes with 5 markers in their own little pocket which actually keeps the markers very secure, almost so much so that she has trouble getting them out. The little rag it comes with to wipe it clean does a good job but like all dry erase boards a little moisture goes a long way, it does wipe completely clean though, no staining or residue and dries quickly (I give my daughter a baby wipe and she cleans it as she wishes). The markers are also completely washable when used to draw on oneself, clothing or furniture! I did not use the decals that come with the board so I can't say whether they actually stick or not, but either way this is a cute toy at a reasonable price that offers hours of entertainment.

I purchased this to help keep my daughter entertained during a 3 hour plane ride. The markers were constantly slipping from its pocket and falling between the seats and floor of plane. This however, is not the main reason for my poor rating. My daughter loves to doodle so I was expecting her to enjoy this packet but the board does not erase well. After 7 minutes of drawing she grew very upset by the fact that the board was, "still so dirty."

I bought this crayola dry erase set to keep my 4 year old daughter busy , when I'm taking her on a long car ride to visit grandma house. It keeps her quite entertain and happy. It do fold ups easily and very light weight to carry around. The markers are washerable so you don't have to worry about your kids clothes getting dirty. The cloth that comes with the set does erase very well with a little pressure apply. I recommend this for all little kids who love to draw and moms who want something convenience.

When I recieved this painting I was expecting a very good product. The picture is beautiful but when you look at the canvas that you are to paint there are numbers missing and the paint pots are numbered very confusing. This picture is not even going to get the time and day from me I will let someone else paint it. Very dissapointed in the whole thing.

I have done a ton of paint by numbers so when I opened the box my first reaction was great the paint is think so it will cover. But once I started painting I noticed how dark the lines and numbers are and the paint does not cover it at all I had to do more coats then with thinner paint. The package could have been shipped better since it was mashed onto a too small box but it didn't ruin the painting. The design is beautiful so I can deal with the paint issue.

When I saw this painting on line, it was exactly what I was looking for. However, I was very disappointed in what I actually received.

First of all, I love paint by numbers. I have done numerous ones, normally by Dimension Crafts. This was my first one and my last one by Royal & Langnickel. The picture that is on the front of the box seems to be the original painting. If you turn the box over, the picture of what the paint by numbers painting will actually look like is on the back. There is little comparison!! In fact, had I seen the back photo, I probably would not have purchased this.

The colors are not the same. Many of the details are not the same, either. For example, the sky is beautiful on the cover photo, with several shades of blue, purple, pink, gray, yellow, orange, and red. What they actually give you (and code for) is bright purple/lavendar, fluorescent yellow, and fluorescent orange. Additionally, the outlining of the sections is thick, blue lines, and the number codes are also in blue. This makes it extremely difficult to paint over in order to not have the lines or numbers show through, especially with lighter colors such as white and yellow. I've had to put 4 coats on for the lighter colors, just to accomodate this.

The only thing that is saving the day is that I always keep my paint pots from previous paint by numbers kits. I utilized some of these to create a sky that was at least somewhat realistic for a sunrise or sunset. Be prepared to do the same if you buy this product.

Smooth writing marker pens. The colors do not bleed through the paper, even thin paper. The pigment ink does not smear and is permanent. Creates solid, even lines. If you like to scrapbook, you will like that they are acid free. I like the assortment of colors great for making cards, journaling, writing thank you cards, etc. I am not a pro at calligraphy, but I love the way these markers make my writing look.

It is a great product. Good selection of colors and decent quality. Note this is a student grade which is fine for a beginner but if you are a professional you probably want something finer. I got this personally because I wanted to start oil painting and I made my first oil painting using this set. One important thing to note is that the white seems to go really fast! So best to get a nice big tube of titanium white with your paints (200 ml tube would be good choice). Other than that this is a terrific product. I bought two of these because of the price and they are working out just fine. I will try to add a picture of my first oil painting to show you how the colors look.

I went to Michael's to buy oil paints. I have never painted with oil paints before and really wanted to give it a try to paint some of my drawings, but i am 17 and broke and the cheapest one was $8 (the size of one of the paints in this package) i was discouraged then went online to find some affordable ones. I found these and was excited at how affordable they were so i went ahead and ordered them. I ordered them on Sunday and received them today, Thursday, i was so happy when i got home a few hours ago to a package on my porch. I opened the package and saw 12 decent sized paint tubes and (gasp) they had turquoise, my favorite color in the universe, i fell in love. I had a small canvas laying around and decided to test them out and was very pleased, i have never used oils before so i have no basis for comparison but they seemed very high quality and looked simply amazing. I will be buying again when I run out.

Clover Leather Thimble Set, 3 Review

I am a quilter and have a collection of thimbles. This review presents the comparison of the thimbles along with images of how they fit.

Clover Leather Thimble set is made out of hard leather on top and plastic insert under it (the pink part). It is comfortable to wear, but the string that holds it together broke the first time I tried to use it (I was able to fix it by sewing it together). When I saw it in the store I liked its shape and thought I could use it to protect the tip of my finger (see photo of how I wanted to wear it) but they don't get much use as found something less fragile that works better.

I am attaching comparison and pictures of the thimbles in my collection. The numbers in the images correspond to the numbers below.

1. Leather thimble with a metal plate (marked #1 in the photos) is my favorite, most versatile thimble. Because it is leather it become shaped to your finger and gets more and more comfortable with use. The metal plate on the tip allows to push through and not hurt your finger. It does not have an opening at the top, so it may not work for those who have long nails.

2. All leather thimble (marked #2 in the photos) is extremely comfortable, but because it has no metal parts it provides less protection. I often use it as a second thimble on the hand to protect another finger because it does not get in a way. It has an opening at the top, so it works for those who have long nails.

3. Strip thimbles (marked #3 in the photos, the product in this listing) turned out not to be very useful. The leather itself can be penetrated by the needle, the pink plastic insert does protect the finger. However the string that holds thimble together on the back broke very quickly. I was able to repair them by stitching them together on the back to replace the string that broke. As you see from the photo they don't cover the very tip of the finger, so they did not work well for me.

4. Plastic thimble provides good protection, but hard plastic makes it a bit hard to work with. So I usually put it on only when my needle is stuck and needs an extra push. It has an opening at the top, so it would work for someone with long nails.

5. Thimble #5 is a thimble I made myself out of band-aid wrapped around my finger. I needed to protect my thumb, and my home made thimble worked best. If you have hard time finding a good thimble, give it a try making it yourself out of Nexcare bandages. They seem to hold the shape well, and I could put my home-made thimble on and off, so I could re-use.

6. Thimble #6 was a thumb thimble I bought, but I found that it got in the way because it was a bit too long and made my hands less agile. It has no opening at the top, so it might work for people with long nails.

So if you have to buy one thimble I would go with leather thimble with a metal plate.

As a professional crafter with a business of my own, I often use rubber stamps. Cavallini's are beautiful stamps in a charming tin case mounted on lovely wood blocks. The problem? Any crafter with rubber stamping experience will take one look at Cavallini's stamps and see the problem: they lack the foam portion between the block & the stamp itself. The foam is an important detail, necessary to create a stamp that distributes pressure evenly. In layman's terms, it can be very difficult at times to get the entire image stamped. When I use Cavallini's stamps, often the center of the image doesn't imprint. Very frustrating. I also have found the ink pad included to be equally worthless, mine was dry and useless when I got it.

Cavallini & Co., you need to redesign your stamps to be like the ones they sell in craft stores: they need the foam! Otherwise half the time they're worthless.

Cute tin to keep them in. Stamps are lovely. Love that it comes with a stamp pad BUT, my stamp set came with an imperfect stamp---the long one with three birds--it stamps uneven, missing birds or leaves, even if I put all my weight on it. Maybe it was just the one I received, but I didn't expect Cavallini and Company to get this sort of thing wrong. I also noticed that there is no sponge between the wood and the rubber. I think a sponge helps to disperse the pressure when you press for a more even print.

I wanted to buy more, but now I am reluctant.

I bought this product a while back, and it continues to amaze me at how superior the quality and results are regarding reborning and other crafts. It takes very little, and you use water to thin and clean up! Luminaire allowed me to continue making my dolls after my doctor told me the "Odorless Thinner" I was using with the heat set paints was causing me horrible allergies and migraine headaches,and I would have to give it up to avoid being sick all the time . Luckily, I heard through the grapevine that this product was out there, so I searched on Google, found it right away, and have been using it since. I use this paint very sparingly, with even better results than the other. No funky burned smells, no risk of ruining your doll in a hot oven, no headaches, and best of all, you will get more natural, realistic results. I've painted several dolls with this kit, replacing only a couple of colors that I use quite a bit. The fashion doll kit is perfect for the vintage dolls and the flesh colors are amazing.

I won't use anything else now, and my only regret is not finding it first.....before spending so much on those heat set paints. I do love my Luminaire paints!! Several of my reborning buddies use nothing else but Luminaire tii, and love the way their dolls are turning out! BEAUTIFUL!!! These paints are the best I have ever used!! I highly recommend these for realistic reborning or restoring vintage dolls as well.

I started with Bloomers & Bows Air Dry Paints,I LOVED THEM, and when they were no longer available, I bought Luminaire air dry paints. I have been using them for years. (I think I am one of the first to buy them)I like them a lot,Bloomers & Bows were better, but I have found them to be easier to use then a lot of other air dry paints.I guess I just needed to get use to them.

To make sure paints stick to my kits I wash the kits well with soapy water and rinse well,if the kit is a very smooth kit, or if it looks like it may have oils on it, I will wipe it down with rubbing alcohol to remove any oils that may keep the paints from sticking.( I also do this if I am painting with Genesis heat set paints) and I always ware gloves when painting or handling kit/ pieces as the oils from my hands can case the paint to not stick.

I do have to use many many thin layers of flesh color or I'll have a chalky looking baby, and I do add a little white to the light flesh to get a lighter looking baby. But with the berry color and other colors I found I need to use more,so I guess it's just what you find works better for you. I do like these paints. I do not use water to thin with, I use the Luminaire paint thinner,I personally found it to to work better with the paints.

After I am finished painting,and after I let it dry for 48 hours,I add Luminaire shine reduction sealer. I use 2 sponge wedges,1 to dab a very little layer of the Luminair shine reduction sealer,and the other to dab till it is dry. After this drys for 24 hrs, I root my baby head. Then after I put baby all together I dab another light Layer of the shine reduction all over baby's face,legs,arms,feet,and hands. I let baby dry for another 24 hrs. then I diaper and cloth my babies.Hope this helps someone who may want to try air dry paints.

I opted to use air dry paints for Reborning instead of the Genesis Heat Paints. These work GREAT!! There are no fumes and are very easy to clean up. Best of all, I don't have to use my oven. I'm very satisfied with the doll I created.

You have to use a lot of layers when applying flesh tones, but if you don't mind painting and enjoy making Reborn Dolls...you won't mind. Best of all, it dries very fast. I felt this was a good advantage. I will always purchase these paints!

I purchased this to make some signs. It is a quality product but I wish I could have purchased just individual letters as I only need 3 letters. I would have purchased several of each type so I could have made multiple signs all at the same time.

These stencils seemed like a great deal for lettering signs. Once they arrived and I opened the package I was immediately disappointed. The material they are made from is the same as a standard manila file folder. The instructions say you can paint right on them. As soon as I did the paper stencils began to curl, paint seeped under the template to create blurred edges despite the fact I followed instructions and used spray adhesive and carefully pressed the templates onto the wood board. I am having better luck outlining the letters using the stencils for the guide and then removing the stencils and painstakingly Filling in the outline with the foam paintbrush. Don't waste your time on these stencils.
