We bought this for our daughter's 6th birthday along with some of the horse coloring books on the site. It is a great stamp set and my daughter loves it. She wants to make cards and use the horses to stamp the front! What a great idea!

Best Melissa & Doug Horse Stable Stamp Set Deals
My daughter was absolutely thrilled to receive this stamp set as a gift. She likes the realistic look of the horses and their scenery. I have to say that I also prefer the idea of her creating projects with realistic horses and not "pretty ponies". The stamps work well, though the stamp pad included is a little small. We have many other Melissa and Doug products in our home, and they tend to be very durable. I'm pleased with both the quality and the price!

This set of brushes is a great value. The Cotman brand is said to be student grade, but I found them to be well made, with quality materials. In my opinion, every bit as nice as the more expensive "professional" grade brushes. There is a nice spring in the tips and they shape right up after use. I also like the nice assortment of brush sizes. I purchased these with the Cotman set of 10 tubes of water colors. I highly recommend this set of brushes as well as the Cotman water colors. They are both very high quality.

Reviews of Artists Acrylic Brushes- Set of 5 by Winsor & Newton
I got this set for my wife and she loves it... she's very particular about the type of paints and brushes she uses, so that says a lot! Shipping was very quick and the price is reasonable for this quality of brush.
Highly recommend this product!!!
Great to start out with watercolor or acrylics.

I am so happy with this purchase, they are great quality and are still like new after many uses. One night I forgot them in a water tin and the tips got a little bit curved, but when I cleaned them and let them dry properly, they got straight again! They are a bit long for traveling and storage.High quality.Highly recommend this product!!!

Don't want to spend alot of money on brushes when you start.. then you will love these. Good quality for cheap brushes. I have not had any problems with the bushes. Some cheap brushes curl up when used but I have not had that problem.Great to start out with watercolor or acrylics.

These brushes are sturdy and of superb quality. They hold the paint well and are capable of a variety of textures. While these could be used for small details, I recommend supplementing this set with a couple finer tipped brushes.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Artists Acrylic Brushes- Set of 5 by Winsor & Newton

Alot of good quality acrylics for the price. The full spectrum of colors, hues and shares are in this kit. also easy to clean. These were a gift, what really sold me was the large size of the tubes. My retired mother is constantly running out of paint, especially white and it's nice to be able to resupply her hobby. Her first words we're where did you find these big sized tubes, I hope you didn't spend too much. Love that amazon hides the price on gifts. Once she started using the paint she loved the"flow" and the opacity.

Bought this airbrush for $60 during the Cyberweek madness. It's been very very good to me, allowing me to basecoat a ton of miniature wargaming figures for Warmachine, 40K and the like.
Only downside is that the bowl is a little too small, since it also has to work with the provided bottles, while the bottles seem to need more pressure than I want to use in most cases.
I also just sent this in for service. Despite the mistake being all mine, and admitting to such, Badger fixed it, and sent it back free of charge. Definitely a company that stands behind their products.
I had absolutely no problem getting used to the dual action lever. It was like I had used it all my life. Very intuitive. Three or four test sprays and I was off to the races.
I was doing detail work on seven theatrical flats these things are each the size of a sheet of plywood, and there were seven of them! I painted all over these flats in multiple colors (I'm glad I had also ordered a box of a dozen extra paint bottles). This brush could handle whatever I threw at it. My index finger cramped up a couple of times after hours of spraying I figured out how to work the lever with my thumb with good results. The width of the spray is controlled mainly by the distance to the workpiece. I could easily spray pencil-thin up to about two inches wide. Any further and the results are not very well defined (which can sometimes be good).
My old brush would constantly clog (the paint would dry at the tip of the atomizer nozzle if I didn't spray for a couple of minutes), and I had to adjust the height of the atomizer nozzle every time I changed paints (because they would never be the same viscosity). It was usually trial and error to get the height correct (mostly error). This brush doesn't even HAVE an adjustment it just works with whatever you put in it. It will even spray latex paint unthinned, but not as well as mixing in a little water.
The only time it clogged was when I sprayed some old paint that had some gloopy bits. The brush is not really designed for easy cleaning. You can clean the nozzle easily enough, but not the part between the hose connector and the nozzle (where the gloopy bits of paint got stuck). I had to soak it in that stuff that you use to clean dried latex paint off of paintbrushes and then spray some of that stuff through the brush. It has never clogged when I was spraying clean paint.
When using it in gravity-feed mode you don't use a bottle you put paint directly into that little cone-shaped cup (usually with an eyedropper). It doesn't hold much, and you will go through it pretty quickly if you use much air.
My only complaint is that the paint bottles are glass. I was forced to make an exception to my "no glass allowed in my garage" rule. Using clear PET plastic would make more sense.
Having a set of cleaning brushes will make cleanup a lot faster especially cleaning the tube that feeds the paint from the jar. It takes a long time to wash paint out if you are just running water through it. Since you only have one of those tube/lids, you will clean it a lot if you are spraying multiple colors (as I was doing). Cleaning brushes will make that job take seconds instead of minutes. You might be able to get by with pipe cleaners. The airbrush itself is easily cleaned by just spraying water (which is driven at a much higher pressure).
What a fantastic tool! Expensive and worth it!

Clover Large Pom Pom Maker Review

Up until I got these handy gadgets, I had generally avoided making pom-poms. Now that I have these, I'm back in love with pom-poms.
Using cardboard as my base was tricky, because the cardboard sometimes bent if it wasn't stiff enough or it would snag the yarn as I tried to remove the yarn from the cardboard.
I've also used the Lion Brand donut-shaped pom-pom makers, which work well, but looping the yarn through the center of the makers can be tedious, because you can't do it in one fluid wrapping motion as you can using a cardboard "maker".
So along comes the Clover pom-pom makers using the best of both worlds....1) fluid wrapping of yarn and 2) ease of removing the pom-pom. Not only that, it has a way of indicating when you have wrapped enough yarn...you simply fill up the C-shaped "arms". No more wimpy-looking pom-poms.
The Clover makers work similarly to the donut-shaped makers, in that two pieces are held and wrapped together with yarn, then the yarn is cut between the pieces and pulled apart. But the Clover gadgets differ from the donut-shaped makers in that there are two "half donuts" (or arms) to wrap. The two halves are snapped closed before cutting the yarn to form the finished pom-pom. Sounds strange, but it works really well.
I highly recommend checking out Cloverneedlecraft's "how to" video on YouTube. Also I recommend use of small sharp scissors for cutting the pom-pom yarn.
I have bought both the Large set and the Small set of makers, which gives me four different sizes to play with. Back in love with pom-poms.

I happened upon a Youtube video for this pompom maker. She made it look so easy, that I decided that I needed one. Before using this, I used cardboard cutout circles to make my pompoms. The device can be a little squirrelly when first beginning to wrap the arms, it was a little difficult to keep both sides of the device even and together. I will say that it was still much faster than using the cardboard. I think it works better if you wrap the arms more than 3 times, but that makes a really tight puff and not a very loose one. The less yarn you use, the more likely the strands are to come out of the device before you can tie the string around them. I did struggle to get the tie tight on the first pompom, even though i thought I had it tight enough...I feel like there is a bit of a learning curve to using this with ease, but if you make a lot of pompoms, this is absolutely worth it...Tuesday, October 14, 2014
Discount Cricut 29-0386 12-by-12-Inch Tacky Cutting Mats with Measurement
One of the mats cracked within 20 minutes of opening. The other one works well.
How to save yourself some dough and reuse your old mats: purchase Aleene's TACK-IT Over & Over (Not to be confused with Aleene's Tacky Glue) at a craft store and make a solution of 60% water and %40 glue. Paint it on the mat with a foam brush taking care to avoid the non-sticky edges. Let dry completely (about 30 minutes), then walk your hands all over the mat several times to keep it from being TOO sticky. Ta-da! I have tried this and it works GREAT!!! If your mat gets too much built up glue, simply remove it with acetone nailpolish remover, rinse with water, and start fresh.

Looking through the previous reviews, they seem to range from Love it, to Hate it! Most of those that dislike it, seem to have been surprised by its size.
First thing I would say to anyone thinking of getting a new Die cutting machine, is do your research. Have a look on the Sizzix website, and get the details for the machine. It is big, and it is heavy. You will NOT want to be moving this beast around. It weighs around 40lbs, and its footprint is almost 26" long by 23" wide, including the handle. IF you have a place you can set it up and leave it, then this machine has to be the way to go. Its a once & forever upgrade, which is why I bought one. I was fed up with dies/folders etc getting bigger than my current machine would take. I figure that with a 12 1/2" opening,(the 13" opening quote is not correct!)and a 14" long by 12" wide cutting area, I will never want anything bigger. Despite what one or two people say, this machine WILL cut every die on the market, from wafer thin ones to the supersized ones.I have used the old Red,Yellow & Green Sizzix steel rule dies,Quickutz dies,Tim Holtz dies(including the long Strip dies),Cuttlebug/generic embossing folders, Fiskars Texture Plates, Memory Box, Cheery Lyn,PTI,Nestabilities as well as Brass Embossing stencils. You just have to try out different plate/shim combos for the Non Sizzix stuff.
What you should do, is look around for the BIG SHOT PRO Kit, which comes with the BSP AND all the plates necessary for whatever you may want to use it for. It is easy to operate, and its weight & footprint help to make it so easythere is no way this machine will move or slide around in use.The plates all have info on them as to which you need for different dies and folders. You can also cut or emboss a number of dies or folders at the same time, as long as they are all the same type. For instance, I can emboss 4 regular cuttlebug type folders at once, or cut 4 Tim Holtz Strip dies.It is sturdy and seems well built. Personally, I can't fault it. It is exactly what I wanted, and what I expected. Beneath the carrier tray there is storage spaceI keep a notebook for 'sandwich' recipes there, along with other odds & ends. This is one purchase I have no regrets about, but as I said, look for The Big Shot Pro kit, rather than just the BSP on its own. The kit is a little dearer, but cheaper than buying them all separately.
It appears the Sizzix Big Shot Pro Accessory Solo Platform, Shim & Wafer Thin Die Adapter UPC841182060457 Dimension 14 1/4" x 12 1/4" x 5/8" is now available at $35+ for this machine. Until I buy this accessory I am using the multipurpose platform from my smaller Sizzix 655268 Big Shot Cutting-and-Embossing Roller-Style Machine. It does mean however that I can't use the larger wafer-thin dies until I get the accessory.
This machine is very heavy and has a large footprint but if you have the room for it, is a worth-while purchase because it cuts quietly and as smooth as butter. I'm sticking to this machine and my Cricut Expression because they can both handle 12" paper.
I do love this machine, though. I use it to cut felt and it does a nice job. Better on real wool felt, it cuts like butter but the acrylic you need to have card stock paper under it. And if the felt is really thin, you need two pc. of card stock. Someone else mentioned this as well in their review on a die cut set. Just a pointer for those who want to cut more than paper with it....it will do it!!! Just remember to buy your own die set! :)

I purchased this machine from Joanns more than 16 months ago when it first came out but I see the price has not changed much. I really like this machine for ease of use and the fact that I can use 12" paper but the killer is that an appropriately sized multipurpose platform was never included with this very expensive machine. I called Sizzix when I first purchased the machine and they assured me that they would be releasing a multipurpose platform for the Big Shot Pro but they took a long time to do so.It appears the Sizzix Big Shot Pro Accessory Solo Platform, Shim & Wafer Thin Die Adapter UPC841182060457 Dimension 14 1/4" x 12 1/4" x 5/8" is now available at $35+ for this machine. The fact that the center roller is covered with a plastic casing makes this machine very easy to use. The casing gives you something to hold on to while you crank the handle which takes a lot of the pressure off of your shoulder while you use the hand crank. I only had one problem with this the scoreboard dies either do not make a clear enough impression for the score marks to show up on paper or it cuts right through the score marks. However, this problem could be more related to the die rather than the machine. I think some of the newer scoreboard dies assume you are using chipboard whereas the older ones assumed you were using paper (just eyeballing the dies, it looks like the blade depth might vary for the score lines). It does indeed take more more space than the big shot but if you really love the bigger dies, this is a very affordable option compared to the Accu-Cut machine. I've tried both and I actually find this one to be much much easier to use.Honest reviews on Sizzix Big Shot Cutting and Embossing Roller Style Scrapbooking
I quilt! Having admitted my addiction, I can now say that Sizzix is my enabler! They make it so easy to cut large numbers of odd cuts (stars, hearts, bottles, etc) of fabric in a short amount of time, that applique quilts and quilts with odds shapes are so fast! And I don't have sore hands & wrists from cutting them out 1 at a time with scissors! Their dies & accessories are so reasonable that I can't understand why anyone would want any other brand. It also uses other brands dies! Now try beating that one! I checked out reviews on other brands & this brand & this brand beat all the others. Now I know why. For my use the Big Shot was perfect: portable, large enough for my quilting pieces, easy to store, has a large plate, uses other brands dies, reasonable prices on EVERYTHING, and a variety you can't find anywhere else. I'd be in an ad for this product in a NY second! I can only guess that if it works this well on my cloth, it will work on paper goods equally well.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Sizzix Big Shot Cutting and Embossing Roller Style Scrapbooking
I happen to have ordered my own die set at the same time as this Big Shot because I had a feeling none came with the machine....and I was right! For those who want to give this as a gift you should order some die cuts to go with it so the person you give it to wont be disappointed. You'd think the manufacturer would as least give us one stinking die to use so we could try it out right away. Sheeesh!!!I do love this machine, though. I use it to cut felt and it does a nice job. I bought these to use as pump dispenser lids with my attempt to create mason jar soap dispensers, trying my hand at a craft fair. They arrived quickly and well packaged, with tissue paper and a small plastic bag around each lid! I was surprised to see such packaging care, but clearly this prevented any scuffing or scratching while in transport. Each lid was perfect, and fit perfectly on my pint sized mason jars, both the clear and new anniversary blue mason jars. The pre-drilled hole was also perfect! A "Dial" brand pump soap purchased for the pump to be used for my mason jar soap pumps fit snugly and securely without any need for glue! IWOW! I couldn't believe my luck! So if your interested in creating mason jar soap dispenser and don't have a driill to drill your own hole on a canning lid,, or have a drill but have discovered what a job that is (not including the glue you need for additional support when drilling your own canning lids), these work wonderfully and look great too! The galvanized look is really in right now and fits well with any decor. These are just great!Saturday, August 30, 2014

These stands offer a subtle and sophisticated way to lift objects, compared to the visual clutter of books. And the price is right!Honest reviews on MS9 Mannequin Stand, Acrylic Riser Set, Medium
Loved this item, it is constructed of thick clear acrylic and looks very pricey.. It made my items look like they were floating.Saturday, July 19, 2014

The photo for this product could potentially be deceiving as it depicts three cases stacked on one another, however this is for just one case of 8 colors.
I am happy with this purchase, I am using the ink pads to create a guestbook of sorts for my sister-in-law's wedding. Guests are to use the pads to make a finger-print or thumb-print and turn it into a "smiley-face" and sign their names beneath.
Since receiving the case of ink pads, I have implemented a test run to ensure that these ink pads will work for the big day.
I am found well pleased with the amount of ink that are in the pads as well as the bright, bold colors. They work perfectly for finger-printing, with ample space to ink your finger on any single color.
I am excited to unveil the guest-book this summer at the wedding.
Very high quality. I plan to use these pads after the wedding too! I am confident that they will last quite a long time.
and when u pull a color out u cant just let it out it must be put back in its tray.
colorwise .. i love it
They were shipped right away and arrived without issue. Very happy with the whole purchase. :)

These inks didnt look very smooth when applied to my acrylic stamps. They didnt give super accurate lines. I will not use them when I have to print a fine print. Their Chalk version of the ink is much better with no such problems.Best Deals for ColorBox Pigment Ink Petal Point Option Pads

Honest reviews on ColorBox Pigment Ink Petal Point Option Pads
I have seen these at retail stores, particularly craft stores, where they are more expensive. A friend let me borrow her set and my $1 ones paled in comparison. I saw this set on Amazon and was so happy to find them at a more reasonable price. I am happy to have my own set because they are so vibrant and soak well into stamps. They are removable, so you can use them for more intricate needs-though they are saturated with ink so your fingers might get a little colorful, or you can place your stamp in the middle for a rainbow effect. They were shipped right away and arrived without issue. Very happy with the whole purchase. :)

This isn't really an "inkpad," so much as a "paint pad." The ink is incredibly thick and goopy, so when I used it with a rubber stamp it just came out as a big blur.
