I received this with a fair bit of excitement, couldn't wait to use it. Was ok while it lasted (not even a week or so) then stopped working and top button to release air broke off, leaving me with what amounts to scrap plastic. a bottle that won't fit anything else and has an over-sized lid that doesn't seal, and a air hose to small to be useful for anything else. complete waste of money. This time I went ahead and forked out extra money for quality product.

I have a Badger airbrush which I love so I figured their sandblaster kit would perform very well too. It is easy to use and works fine from a small portable compressor. Key to performance is to make sure that the small tube properly fits up into the tip, the alignment was a wee bit tricky but once in place it worked like a charm!

I used it to sandblast polycarbonate RC bodies to give a flat look to the paint, the supplied media worked just fine for a pleasing result. I think you will find numerous usages for this item. Very simple and straight forward to use. There is a considerable amount of suspended media dust so working in a garage and with the supplied dust masks makes good sense.

Overall this works very well for my needs and replacement parts are inexpensive if needed and my previous customer service with Badger Air Brush company was the best I ever experienced and I am very picky! Get one they are great!

It works pretty good but the reservoir could be larger because it's a pain to have to fill it so often.

I am having a blast with this tool (pun may have been intended). Thbe air hose is cheap would recomend getting something a little nicer, but it is completely functional I may just be a little spoiled. =)

Reviews of Clover 8493 Kanzashi Flower Maker Orchid Petal Quilt Pattern

Customer Ratings:

I've ordered *several* of these kanzashi flower makers, so I'll be basically copy/pasting my reviews on them since I feel the same about all of theme.

I got these to use with fabric ordered from spoonflower.com and one thing to note is that all of these are VERY small, I'd say that your design needs to be micro levels of tiny in order to be noticeable on the petals. The large, however, is much larger than the small, and looks pretty nice with a small (not too busy) pattern on it.

The patterns are all very straightforward to use, the holes are numbered, and if you take your time to gather the fabric nicely when you're pulling the thread, they're lovely!

I made mine using cotton poplin fabric, but I also attempted some using a cotton with some stretch and a brocade fabric that also had some stretch. They come out best with the basic cotton poplin very little fraying and the fabric folds very well. The fabrics with stretch, though, were much less cooperative, and want to fray WAY more while being worked with.

I've also tried just hand-folding these, and it takes me significantly longer to do. Not to mention the results aren't nearly as uniform.

But, I make flowers using these templates, glue them with E6000 to a small (about 1" diameter) circle of felt, cover a button in the same or a coordinating fabric (3/4" buttons work nicely with the small, 5/8" for x-small, and 1" for large), sew that in the middle after the glue is dried, and then attach the finished flower to a brooch, headband, or necklace. Using strong adhesives and a high-strength hand quilting thread, I've yet to have any of my crafts come apart!

If you're thinking of picking these up, they're fairly cheap and fun to use. Generally, I prefer the 5 petal flowers to the 10, but you can mix petals for different looks as well.

we just got back from vacation and our two and half year old really liked this it was like her own little craft in a purse

I wasn't expecting much from a $7 dry erase board but my 2 year old loves it and that's enough for me. It is by far her favorite drawing item at home or traveling. It comes with 5 markers in their own little pocket which actually keeps the markers very secure, almost so much so that she has trouble getting them out. The little rag it comes with to wipe it clean does a good job but like all dry erase boards a little moisture goes a long way, it does wipe completely clean though, no staining or residue and dries quickly (I give my daughter a baby wipe and she cleans it as she wishes). The markers are also completely washable when used to draw on oneself, clothing or furniture! I did not use the decals that come with the board so I can't say whether they actually stick or not, but either way this is a cute toy at a reasonable price that offers hours of entertainment.

My daughters love the pink carrying case. The dry erase board works okay but the stick-ons do not stay on and are a bit of a waste.

They have enjoyed this on car trips.

Honest reviews on Crayola Dry-Erase Fold and Go Travel Pack

I purchased this to help keep my daughter entertained during a 3 hour plane ride. The markers were constantly slipping from its pocket and falling between the seats and floor of plane. This however, is not the main reason for my poor rating. My daughter loves to doodle so I was expecting her to enjoy this packet but the board does not erase well. After 7 minutes of drawing she grew very upset by the fact that the board was, "still so dirty."

I bought this crayola dry erase set to keep my 4 year old daughter busy , when I'm taking her on a long car ride to visit grandma house. It keeps her quite entertain and happy. It do fold ups easily and very light weight to carry around. The markers are washerable so you don't have to worry about your kids clothes getting dirty. The cloth that comes with the set does erase very well with a little pressure apply. I recommend this for all little kids who love to draw and moms who want something convenience.

I bought an industrial sewing machine, Juki 5550, and it came with a clutch motor. I love the sewing machine, but I hate the noise and the speed of that clutch motor. After 3 years, I finally decided to give a Servo Motor a try and after doing some research, I decided to buy Reliable SewQuiet Servo Motor.

The swapping of the motors was not too bad. The installation was very easy. Reliable SewQuiet is so quiet that I don't hear any noise when it's on. The speed control is wonderful. You can set the Speed Selector up to 34. I set it to 15 and feel very comfortable with the speed. I can sew a small circle using an industrial sewing machine. Very cool.

I did get a larger size of V belt. I used size 41 for the clutch motor, but use size 42 for SewQuiet. I don't think you need to get a smaller pulley for slower speed. The 90mm Standard pulley and the motor speed control function work really well.

Easy to install (with an extra set of hands), quick set-up, runs super quiet. The only problem is that the motor tilts up and does not sit flush with the table, so I may need to get a longer belt. I definitely recommend.

Honest reviews on Reliable SewQuiet 5000 Brushless DC Servo Motor

I have wanted a servo motor since I first knew how quiet they are, and it is a dream...no more humming and rattling, no more hearing damage. The speed control is also wonderful! I can go one stitch at a time to very fast. When I bought the my latest industrial singer, it offered a servo motor for 50 dollars more. At the time I did not know how great they are, so got a conventional. I will never get a conventional motor again.

I researched carefully BTW to find the best price. 200 was the most common price, so decided on Amazon because I've always loved their service.

This is a horrible motor. It will shut down if under any kind of load. The SewQuiet 4000 is a good motor and we continue to use a number of them in our shop. This is a piece of junk I won't recommend to anyone.

I purchased this set at the same time as the "Reeves Fine Oil Colours Sets set of 24" and found this set to be far inferior. The paint is thin with little pigment and a grit forms when certain colors are blended together. These are common complaints for cheap oil paints, but this is in comparison to Reeves paint selling at roughly the same price point. These 18 tubes are worth less than 12 tubes of Reeves and though the brushes are decent, I don't feel they justify buying this set.

Honest reviews on Royal & Langnickel Oil Color Paint, 18-Piece

I recently purchased this paint on Amazon. This is the first time I used this brand of oil color paint, and it is very workable. The paint has a very smooth texture and spreads evenly. The color does not lose its vibrance even when mixed with a medium. I choose the smaller set to test the quality of the product. It is a professional grade product, and I will certainly use it again.

The box I received was poorly packaged and half destroyed. Many of the paint bottles are dented, dusty and scuffed. Additionally, I received only 8 different colors. In my package, there were 2 peaches, 2 greens, 2 oranges and 2 pink. Missing from the box are red, blue, turquoise and white. Missing two of the primary colors means that I can't even mix the paints I have to get the colors I'm missing.

I read through the other customer reviews before purchasing and this issue wasn't there. Based off the photo and description, I believed that I would be receiving 12 different colors.

I'm frustrated because this is not the quality I've grown to expect from Amazon.

My bad. I was thinking this was comparable to Crayola's tempera paint, which IS washable. The paint is great, nice colors, but we got a little on clothing and can't get it out completely. I'd still recommend this paint, just be sure your little one wears a smock.

My 1 year old son has really enjoyed these paints. What a great variety of vibrant colors. Perfect for finger painting. He gets the paint all over his hands, arms, face and hair and it washes right off. I will absolutely be purchasing another set when these run out.

Honest reviews on Prang Ready-to-Use Tempera Paint, 16-Oz., 12-Pack of Assorted

My ten year old daughter received an art easel (one of those with a roll of paper attached, and a white board on the other side) for Christmas from her grandparents. Within a couple of hours, she had gone through the paints that came with it. A trip to the dollar store and buying out the stock of watercolors they had was in order. Those were gone within 2 days. Obviously this painter was going to need a bigger supply. However, looking through the Hobby Lobby's, Wal Marts, and other craft stores, finding tempra paints was not that easy, plus if you could find any at all, they carried maybe one or two colors, 8 to 10 ounces (at even that was hard to find) and they wanted $4 or $5 for what they did have.

Not wanting to get bent at the register, I decided to look on Amazon to see what kind of options there were. Prang to the rescue! 12, 16-ounce bottles, a wide assortment of colors (so that means less mixing the primary's to MAKE the different colors) which was a thrill to my young Grant Wood wanna-be. And for the price? Translated to about $2.50 a bottle, compared to twice that for half as much.

She has used some of the paint, but clearly this is going to last her a while. With the summer soon upon us and nice weather in the Midwest, she is starting to focus more on the pool and other outdoor activities... but as soon as the weather is bad or cold again, I am sure she will be right back at the paints. I will come back and let you know how well the paints last over time, to give an indication of shelf life.

But this is a good buy for your little artist!

Reviews of EZ Quilting 882700 Easy Dresden Quilt Tool Set

The quilt pattern that recommended this tool did not match the instructions. The tool itself is probably okay I have only used it once but the dresdens on the 2 inch marking (the pattern called for 14 dresden pieces) did not make a complete circle.

A good buy for quilters who like the dresden plate patterns. Very easy to use. The wooden tool that came with in the package can be used in other projects.

Honest reviews on EZ Quilting 882700 Easy Dresden Quilt Tool Set

Looking forward to using this tool. I made two Dresden Plate blocks this fall but had to use a narrower template that had no markings for different size spokes, so twice I ended up with spokes that weren't the right size. Even with having a template that didn't work well I realized that I liked making Dresden Plate blocks, so look forward to using this template and the wooden 'iron' that came with it. The markings all you to make many different size Plates depending on the size quilt block that you want to make.

Reviews of Letraset Tria 12 Marker Set Brights

Customer Ratings:
List Price: $79.39
Sale Price: $61.50
Today's Bonus: 23% Off

Good professional art markers, equal to the quality of the Copix and the Tria nib system I feel is better than the Copix as it includes a third, super-fine, nib. This nib is nearly the width of a technical pen's line and is awesome for drawing/coloring very small or detailed areas.

One problem, however: the tins these sets come in while tasteful (and probably useful for students to tote the markers to class) are a nightmare in a studio. They are not designed to stack atop each other and take up a lot of room when open. Copix can get 36 markers into a bin that takes up less than the footprint of these silly black tins holding only 12 markers. So unless you want tins all over the place, buying several of these sets could be unwise. Oh: and if you buy the large 72-marker set, does it come in some sort of well-designed bin? No. It comes in several of these awful tins, apparently.

Buy Martha Stewart Crafts Glitter, 6-Pack

Customer Ratings:

This package is actually very cute, with 6 valentine card appropriate colors and the mini heart size is just perfect for cute embellishment. The red, purple and white are perfect. However the tourmaline, kunzite, and coral pink are not so because they have tiny red specks/stains on the surface. It looks like the colors weren't mixed well before being transferred to the sheets. It will be a non issue for some but I expect high standard from this line of product.
