I have a chalkboard in my kitchen that I like to draw and and write quotes on. I wanted wet chalks and first tried out the "Wet Chalk" brand. I liked them fine until it came time to clean my board. It was HARD! It wasn't just a water fix... I tried different cleaners and looked all over google to help clean the board and nothing really worked. Windex (ironically) worked best but you can still see shadows of my old drawings and quotes (and that's after A LOT of elbow grease!). I bought the Chalk Ink brand (the one I am reviewing) and was nervous that all the chalks would be the same. My last drawing/quote has been on my board for about a month so I got out the windex and wet my sponge. To my AMAZEMENT the chalks came off with just a wet sponge! No windex was needed. I can still see a bit of shadow from my last board but it is so much better than the other markers. I also bought the same brand in fluorescent colors. I haven't tried them all out yet so won't write a review on them for a while, but am very pleased with the white, blue and green. I gave it only four stars because you can still see that shadow but they are so much better than any other chalk markers I've found. If someone comes across a better brand, please let me know! :-)

I use these on my chalkboards at school for notes and upcoming events and such. I kept one board up all year and just kept adding things to it. At the end of the year the chalk ink wiped off great with a fairly wet rag.

I think others have said not to use these with the chalkboard paint and contact paper but they work great on regular old chalkboards.

If you make a random mistake it easily comes off with water. I made 3 chalkboards for entertaining and the writing appeared clear and bright. Definitely will purchase these over and over again. This stamp has alot of beautiful asain designs and motifs. I haven't seen too many asian influenced stamps with a large background stamp included. The bamboo and cherry blossoms are my favorite and I have used them several times. I purchased this block along with Inkadinkado Clear Acrylic Stamp Block Extra Large 6 x 6. They work well together. Because of the block design the large background stamp fits perfectly or I could arrange the other stamps together to create a "single" stamp. You must take care the first time removing the stamps from the clear sheet it is attached to. The stamps are adhered pretty tightly. If you remove them too quickly you may rip the stamp. After removing for the first time, all subsequent usage is fairly easy. Don't throw away the plastic sheet it comes with because you can re-use them to store your stamps. The stamps clean-up nicely with just a little warm water and drying. The stamps retain there "stickiness" even after several washes. I've used these stamps in my mixed media art work, thank-you and birthday cards, ATCs, etc. The simple asian designs and beautiful caligraphy are perfect for many types of applications. I used the following ink after researching a little online: Tsukineko Full-Size Memento Fade Resistant Inkpad, Tuxedo Black. It worked well for me but any ink you typically use would probably work just as well.

I love the simplicity of Asian inspired cards and this set is perfect with that goal in mind. The only concern is that the large stamp is 4-1/2" x 5-3/4" so be sure you have a stamp block to accommodate it. The designs are beautiful.

These stamps are so beautiful. I used them to make a birthday card for my mother-in-law and she was so impressed by how elegant the background looked and how well the lantern made it pop. I also used the lantern and the small symbol to make wrapping paper for her present, which she also loved. Just make sure you have a big enough block to mount the background stamp on too. I had to resort to using a glass casserole dish for lack of anything else suitable!

Two other reviews I read at Amazon indicated this is not a good choice for Tattoos or for spraying thinner.

It is not right to give the product a 1-Star rating when the wrong airbrush was selected for the task to be completed.

This product is NOT meant for detail spraying (like Tattoos, T-Shirts, etc.) If that is what you want, buy a more expensive dual-action air brush. The review about spraying thinners said more pressure was required for spraying thinners and that perhaps opening the vent hole would help. If the vent hole is blocked in any way (gaskets, old paint, debris) this type of airbrush will not spray properly. This airbrush works by a venturi effect created by blowing air across the opening of the nozzle tip. The vacuum created draws the paint out of the jar for spraying. If the vent is blocked... no paint can be drawn out of the jar. Depending on the viscosity of the material I typically use air pressure ranging from 30 PSI to 50 PSI.

The Badger 250 has been around for decades. It is a simple, inexpensive single-action air brush. I have used it to spray solvents, lacquers, varnish, and acrylic urethane paint. It does not deliver a fine spray and it is not designed to. However, if you want fairly broad coverage of a few square inches at a time, this air brush works great. I have used this airbrush on small wood projects, automotive touch-up, and painting small metal parts. Again, it is NOT a detail painter but it is great for broader coverage.

The model 250 is easy to clean. Simply unscrew the jar, wipe it dry, fill with some solvent/thinner and spray through the pickup tube like it was paint. Remove the pickup tube and wipe its threads with solvent to clean them and you are pretty much done. Like all airbrushes, you must keep them clean for them to work properly.

While this airbrush is offered with things like adapters for spraying from cans of compressed air, that makes using the airbrush very expensive. Also available are adapters to connect the airbrush hose to air compressors. Those work great if you happen to own an air compressor. Another option is the adapter to connect the hose to "spare tires". Simply take your car to a place to fill up the spare tire and use the adapter to connect your air brush. There are still some places where filling tires is free so this is a very economical alternative to cans of compressed air.

Again, don't expect the Badger 250 to be a precision artist instrument. However, for broad paint coverage it works great and is easy to clean.

This is my first airbrushI don't need it for anything too incredibly fancy. Just some simple painting for crafts and some costumes. I admit the first time I was having MAJOR trouble with the thing, but it was because I forgot to run airbrush cleaner through before I started painting. Now I always run a small amount of cleaner through before hand, and of course always after. I use a mini compressor (one of the ones that looks like an elephant), and I use mainly Createx airbrush paints. It suits my needs!

The ruler comes with a little booklet on cardstock with basic advice for using it. I'm a math person, so I find it really easy to use and understand, but I can see how it may be confusing for others. I also bought Marti Mitchell's book that goes with it, which is good and helpful, but it arrived later, and I was impatient. I recommend the book for ideas, but wait until you get it! I just started buying fabric, which ended up being very foolish as I loved a different pattern than I thought I would, which made my purchases unuseable.

When it comes down to it, the ruler is great and the book is helpful. Go for it. I will make lots of kaleidoscope quilts in the future, they are fun to cut and make. The book has instructions on how to keep the block flatter where all 8 pieces meet, but I find it a bit confusing, I'm probably not doing it right, and my blocks are still a bit bulky.

It's a good starter set, I think it has the shapes you need to try and decide if you like this kind of work, at a very affordable price by the way. You need different pressure with every tool, though. So, it's important to practice in a piece of leather similar to the one of your project, because you can get an image barely noticeable or you can cut the leather depending on which tool you have used, and always with about the same intensity of hammer hit. That would mean 4 stars if I would have received the whole set. The knife was missing, they couldn't dispatch only the knife, so I had to decide whether I return the whole set or to receive a percentage of what I paid. I chose to keep what I got, because I did need some of the tools before holidays. At least they offered these options very quickly.

This tool may be the classic case of the Walmartization of America. Give a cheap price and receive cheap Asian crap!

The tools are cast and not solid steel. 2 of the tools started bending 1/2 way thru my belt embossing project and eventually broke.

If you tap the stamp lightly it may last longer, but you won't get the deep imprint in the leather that will stand out after staining and antiquing.

Good professional art markers, equal to the quality of the Copix and the Tria nib system I feel is better than the Copix as it includes a third, super-fine, nib. This nib is nearly the width of a technical pen's line and is awesome for drawing/coloring very small or detailed areas.

One problem, however: the tins these sets come in while tasteful (and probably useful for students to tote the markers to class) are a nightmare in a studio. They are not designed to stack atop each other and take up a lot of room when open. Copix can get 36 markers into a bin that takes up less than the footprint of these silly black tins holding only 12 markers. So unless you want tins all over the place, buying several of these sets could be unwise. Oh: and if you buy the large 72-marker set, does it come in some sort of well-designed bin? No. It comes in several of these awful tins, apparently.

60" cable is always great for blankets, magic loop, etc. What I like about this particular cable (besides the length and that it's HH which is awesome) is that it's actually MARKED 60" on the metal parts. I wish they did that with the cables that came with the interchangeable set! And like the other HH interchangeable cables, it has a swivel, which is nice so it doesn't get so kinked up.
