I fell in love with this particular brand of paint about a year ago and simply will not purchase any other acrylic paint, other than some that are in the tube form. It's too bad that they do not make the Ceramcoat in tube form because the tubes are so much easier in terms of transporting, storing, etc. This brand is super creamy and it covers very well. If you have not tried Ceramcoat, then you must give it a shot.

These markers are fabulous for "doodling" on shiny paper, especially black, then heating them with a heat gun so they run together and make ethereal designs for mixed media/collage work.

This stamp has alot of beautiful asain designs and motifs. I haven't seen too many asian influenced stamps with a large background stamp included. The bamboo and cherry blossoms are my favorite and I have used them several times. I purchased this block along with Inkadinkado Clear Acrylic Stamp Block Extra Large 6 x 6. They work well together. Because of the block design the large background stamp fits perfectly or I could arrange the other stamps together to create a "single" stamp. You must take care the first time removing the stamps from the clear sheet it is attached to. The stamps are adhered pretty tightly. If you remove them too quickly you may rip the stamp. After removing for the first time, all subsequent usage is fairly easy. Don't throw away the plastic sheet it comes with because you can re-use them to store your stamps. The stamps clean-up nicely with just a little warm water and drying. The stamps retain there "stickiness" even after several washes. I've used these stamps in my mixed media art work, thank-you and birthday cards, ATCs, etc. The simple asian designs and beautiful caligraphy are perfect for many types of applications. I used the following ink after researching a little online: Tsukineko Full-Size Memento Fade Resistant Inkpad, Tuxedo Black. It worked well for me but any ink you typically use would probably work just as well.

I love the simplicity of Asian inspired cards and this set is perfect with that goal in mind. The only concern is that the large stamp is 4-1/2" x 5-3/4" so be sure you have a stamp block to accommodate it. The designs are beautiful.

These stamps are so beautiful. I used them to make a birthday card for my mother-in-law and she was so impressed by how elegant the background looked and how well the lantern made it pop. I also used the lantern and the small symbol to make wrapping paper for her present, which she also loved. Just make sure you have a big enough block to mount the background stamp on too. I had to resort to using a glass casserole dish for lack of anything else suitable!

This may have been random, since this is the first die set I bought for my new Sizzix. but I tried the largest of the seven dies. It's a great thing for kids, I'm sure. However, there's no way for adults to make something nice with this kit. Break out the better colored pencils, ladies, cause these have too much wax for this type of paper (board). The color does not transfer on well, and does not cover up the lines either the white is useless for covering the pre-printed lines.

That said, it's a nice case get a different color though, because the pencils marked up the inside of my case really badly, before I ever received it probably from shoving the sharpened pencils in, and the tips dragging on the fabric. It's a pretty nice case though, no eraser but does come with a sharpener and pencils.

So in summation, if it's for a kid, go at it. For adults, I'd recommend at least using other CPs. And for those who want the pretty case, go for the purple of something pass on this one, it comes already dirty.

I have one of these notebooks for every class I take in school. They are absolutely perfect. They are just the right size, so they easily fit in my back without creating extra bulk. I only write on one side of the page, so these are the perfect thickness(thinness?) for me. I hate ruled notebooks, especially for math classes, just can't bear them. They're not the most sturdy, no where close to the hardcover Moleskines but they work fine for me. I just wished they offered their leather-ish cover, separately, so that I can put these cahiers in, when I'm done with them I can use that same sturdy cover for the new ones.....oh well. I'll attach a pic of my setup. I have a sheet of lined manila folder cut to the dimensions to use as a backing. The notebook paper is thin enough that I can use the printed lines on the manila sheet as a guide, but I can ignore if I want to.

These are probably the closest I'll get to what I'm looking for, for the price.

I've been on the hunt for a good sized, soft cover sketchbook with decent pages lately, and I thought I'd found the perfect item here, however...

These are NOT imitation leather. They have paper covers. Granted, it's a thicker, almost paper-board paper, but it's still paper. I'd been using Modeskin books, which have a pleather cover and are fabulous, but they don't come in larger sizes, so I thought I'd luck out on this one.

These are not bad books however the paper is nice, and they are well put together I just don't think they'll hold up to a beating from being carried everywhere, or from having anything dropped/spilled on them.

Still on the search, sigh.

I am obsessed with these adhesive silk screens. I hope they continue to make more designs. I first purchased the paisley silk screens for a country/western style wedding. We used them to stencil glass jars and they turned out amazing. The sticky material allows you to stencil on something round without it slipping. After you finish, just rinse them out and put them back in the plastic and you can use them over and over.

I read the review that said it made a mess. After experimenting with them alot, I've found that A. make sure you have it on the right side. If you have it on the wrong side up it bleeds through. B. Take the stencil off immediately!

I recommend giving it a try, I absolutely love them.

I bought this at Michaels Store got home tried it and it absolutly sucks! You paint over it and the paint bleeds through so when you pull it up it is a huge mess! Then you have to rinse it off after it is used, and the design comes off! It isnt sticky after you wipe it off, even if you tape it down it still bleeds through. Waste of money!

I love to stamp. I was a little surprised (and my only complaint)when I received my stamps was the wooden stamp was separate from the rubber letter. You had to break apart the letters, peel off the backing and try to center and evenly stick it to the wooden part. I thought it would come all together. But putting that aside, I love the stamp. It's a cute design, stamps well, and cleans well. I would recommend it. A bonus is it comes with a black ink pad, the size fits the size of the stamp.

I attached the rubber part to the wooden part but some of my letters showed up backwards. I thought I attached everything correctly.

I really like the size of these stamps--perfect for cardmaking, gifts, and just general stamp usage. The rubber isn't connected to the wooden blocks, so you need to assemble them yourself, but that wasn't a problem for me. I will definitely be using these stamps a lot in the future! The only complaint I have, and the reason I gave this product 4 stars, is that the ink pad is a little dry. I would recommend buying a separate ink pad for more efficient stamping!

Retayne is the only treatment you can use that will really solve the problem of a garment whose dye was not properly set. Similar products are widely used in the textile industry.

Sometimes, non-dyers will recommend that you soak your new garments in salt or vinegar to "set" the dye. Unfortunately, neither salt nor vinegar can set commercial dye; the only value to the process is as an extra washing that helps to remove some of the extra dye. Retayne is far more effective, making colors last much longer, even after many washings.

Retayne is a dye fixative that will set most commercial dyes. It contains positively-charged particles which will stick to the negative particles of most dyes, helping to fix them in place in your fabric. Dyes that would otherwise bleed a little in every washing become safe in the laundry after treatment with Retayne. Retayne is extremely valuable for quilters who must make sure that their differently colored fabrics will not bleed onto each other when a quilt is washed. It is essential after dyeing with all-purpose dye, such as Rit dye, which would otherwise tend to bleed in the laundry. (It is not necessary for use with fiber reactive dyes, such as Procion MX dyes.)

There are two downsides. One is that the indigo dye used in blue denim cannot be fixed with this sort of treatment, because indigo dye molecules lack a negative charge for the fixtive in Retayne to stick to. The other problem is that cationic dye fixatives tend to increase the fading that is caused by bright light. Clothing that has been treated with Retayne should probably be dried indoors, not in direct sunlight. All dyes will fade if exposed to bright light long enough, but sunlight may fade them a little more quickly after they have been treated with a commercial dye fixative.

Retayne is applied in the washing machine or a large container of water, so it cannot be used to set a color that will run very badly even the first time it is immersed in water.

I buy and sell antique linens. A lot of estate linens have been packed away for years and were never washed. Long time storage causes fold lines and spots from the starch, so I have to wash them so they are appealing to customers, who want them nice and fresh. I had trouble with colors running into each other before using Retayne, even when hand washing. The most important articles are vintage quilts, where there are dozens of colors in one quilt. Since using Retayne I've had no trouble. And I do use cold water, but I make sure the Retayne is added and given a chance to mix in the water before I add the quilt. I also add Woolite and wash on as short a cycle as possible if the items are delicate. The Retayne has never failed me. Red material sitting right next to white material has not run.

I heard about this product on a sewing yahoo goop. It really does help set colors on cotton fabric. Your clothingor fabric needs to be "soaked" in this product before you wear/use the item. You dilute the product in hot water and then agitate the fabric/clothing for a short time. I have used it on cottons, I embroider on or quilt, and dark jeans. I haven't had the fabic/clothes for too long but it looks very good dark colors still holding.

I have a front load washer, so since the machine senses how much fabric is in the machine and how much water is needed, I start the fabric in a large pan with hot water and Retayne. Then I turn on my washer and move wet fabric to washer. Just as it's starting to fill with water I had the remainder of the water with Retayne to soak and agitate for about 20 minutes. If you have a traditional washer it will be much easier for you.

You will use about 1 tablespoon per yard of fabric. So Retayne may seem expensive initially, but you can do quite a bit with one bottle, if it's for home use. If you have a lot of dark, new clothes or a small business, you will want the 16 oz or larger bottle.

For me, "setting" the colors so they don't bleed is worth the effort. I usually do several clothing or fabric items at one time and I've not had any problems so far.

I am going to pursue a refund with this item... I got the set of 12 colors. It is actually 2 each of six colors. The colors are very poor. Yellow looks like mustard; red is dark orange. Even my two year old says, "That's not red; that's orange!" The colors are very thin and transparent. Tried to paint a terra-cotta flower pot with them and could get no coverage even with navy blue. Very poor paints. I've had nice paints from Sargent before; must have been a different type.

I ordered these paints for my classroom as they were a very good price through our school supplier. They are goopy, are weird colors (e.g. "black" looks like navy blue), and are transparent even after several applications. One of my favorite quotes from my aide, "It's like they put food coloring in hair gel."

My 6 year old daughter asked me to teach her how to knit so she could make clothes for her dolls...but I don't know how. I took a chance when I saw this product in a catalog; it had no reviews then so I was just hoping it would work well. She got it for Christmas and has had a blast with it! By the end of Christmas morning, she had already knitted two different pairs of leg warmers which she now loves showing off as her own creation to her dance class. She's also made a full-sized adult scarf and is working on a poncho for herself. She is beyond thrilled that she can do this on her own and actually has a product to be proud of at the end of it all.

I did not have any of the issues the other reviewer had. It's hard plastic, so I don't expect it to last forever, but we have put it through some work and it's still holding up. You must be sure to keep the thread easily moving through the machine; it puts a lot of strain when it's trying to pull it out of the skein itself. Also, **be sure to read ALL the way through to the end of the directions about marking the starting point with a permanent marker before beginning (that was written last and didn't make any sense...it should be front and center because THAT matters!) My daughter needs a little help loading it up and tying the ends off when her product is complete, but I enjoy something that we can work on together and it doesn't bother me that she needs my help for 2 minutes or less on certain stages.

Bottom line: we're having a blast with it! (I think everyone in the family is getting a knitted scarf for Christmas next year.) :)

This machine is surprisingly exceptional....so, I have to tell the world lol

seriously.. I was pleasantly impressed, after trying this knitter on almost all types and weights of yarn.... it works!

it squeaks a bit for heavier weights (like a clunky toy), but with a little patience i was even able to use double yarn to make my socks.. I dont recommend double yarn in "walmart" yarn weight if you can help it.. get a better, lighter weight yarn.. and it has a slightly wider spacing between each needle than the professional sock makers...but not bad.

I have a professional Addi knitter for larger items, but couldn't afford the small "sock" addi maker as well, so tried this one. I'm sooo glad I was able to save the $120 extra bucks since this-while not perfect-is adequate for my needs.. and, in my opinion, far superior to a "toy" :)

We bought this same one at Walmart for $20, Christmas 2010. It works, but the gear starts to slip badly after using it for just a short time (only got about 3/4 of the way done with a scarf before the gear started slipping). It can still be used, but has an annoying noise as it slips (drove me nuts!). My husband took it apart and lubed it and that helped a tiny bit. It's easy to use, but it's not well made and certainly will not last for years. The gears are plastic and that itself tells you it will not last forever. It's certainly worth the $20 Walmart price ($62.00 price listed here is outrageous!), as I was able to make several scarves with it, but I certainly wouldn't spend any more on this item.

As soon as I opened the box we starting knitting. It took a few times to figure out how the needles work. It is important to have the tension hooked up right. The instructions are not so good and knowing a bit about knitting helps. Having said that my purpose was to have my grandkids (3 &4) help make their leg warmers and mittens. We did the first day make the first leg warmers. They were able to crank with a little help. We made a long snake last night for the 2 year old which he loves. My imagination is sparked and I have lots of ideas for new projects. I wanted to know whether I would enjoy a knitting machine. It is lots of fun.

This product, is great. for a hand knitter your just amazed at how fast the fabric comes out.

it is a toy, but its a great to practice with machine knitting.

the only cons to the machine are:

-the beginning isn't cast-off

-the crack might slip if tension is too high

-theres a click noise [click noise means your doing it right]

-yarn is a little expensive [ light 3 yarn]

finishing both ends off is challenging

. but you must remember this is a toy. a real knitting machine might run you 100$ and up
