When this arrived the top of the box had popped apart at the joints. No nails or brads had been used in construction. I had to take off the hinges and re-glue the top. Disappointing but the set as a whole was a very good beginner set. A lot of brushes. nice pallet, and good array of paint colors. Made a nice gift.

I was wracking my brain for a Secret Santa gift for my uncle. He's an art teacher and a wonderful artist so I wanted to get him something along this avenue. I didn't know this item existed until I started searching for an easier way to thread elastic through my grandkids' shorts casings. What a clever gadget and I received two different kinds to boot. I wished I had this tool every time I needed to restring a pair of sweat pants! It wasn't until I began sewing that I learned there was a tool like this out there. It's not perfect, you still end up fighting with wads of fabric, but it's SO MUCH EASIER than doing it by hand. A longer stem would be helpful, but this does the job.

How many times, while trying to coax elastic through a casing, have I had a safety pin come open, snagging the fabric and refusing to come back out without a fight? More than I care to count, that's how many times.

I'm not a seamstress by any stretch, and end up learning about things the hard way. It's been years since I needed to perform the elastic-through-channels maneuver, and I was dreading it. I was just clicking around and saw this item. I read the description and ordered without hesitation. I had to be patient, because the order arrived without this item, but Amazon replaced it, and I have a new best friend! (Forgive the hyperbole.) I didn't even use it right the first few times -I didn't realize that the larger one comes apart, and a pair of "claws" holds the elastic -and I loved it anyway. Now that I actually read the directions, I will never be without one of these.

I bought these because I like gadgets, especially classic sewing ones. I've only used the bodkin for wide elastic. After years of using a safety pin, I have to say a bodkin is much easier. Not necessary, but nice. Now i just have to find a spot where I always keep it because it would be easy to lose. I almost never use the very narrow elastic or round stuff, but the design of that one looks very good.

I have used this brand in water color pencils for years, and love them. So, I was shocked at how BAD the fine line black pens are. Not a good rich black. More like a cheap Sharpie, with a red cast to it. The tips are not very good either. You don't get a good even flow. Gave these to my husband to use in his wood shop.

I had initially purchased the Sakura Microns per advice I was given by card makers whom claim it works great to fill in missing lines from rubber stamps and would be waterproof. Unfortunately, the Microns did not live up to its waterproof claim. These Prismacolors claim to be "water-resistant" and held up much better. There was minute bit of bleeding, but nowhere near the amount the "waterproof" Microns. I am very happy with this product.

This was my first experience with an airbrush kit. I had no difficulty using the kit since everything came pre assembled and was easy to use. The only thing is that since I began using the kit regularly, I now learn that it is easier (for example) to attach a 4 port manifold to use other airbrush at the same time.

i received this product excited to use it but some reason the airbrush didn't work. i tried cleaning it and everything imaginable. it can't even shoot out water or paint but only air. i tried contacting seller but they haven't respond. i went to harbor freight tools and bought a cheap airbrush for 15 bucks and it works great!

Prompt delivery. Packaged well. I was disappointed in the size. The painting wells were 1\2 the size.The picture made it appear much larger that I was. It is actually quite small so I am not happy with the price and shipping. I think the shipping charges was way too high. I saw the shipping cost on website; but as I said it appeared to be a lot larger that it actually was. I checked online and other sellers were similar. Their website is not overpriced compared to other sellers and they have a lot of art supplies; so I would buy from them again. I will just be checking out the sizes and shipping more carefully from now on.

This may have been random, since this is the first die set I bought for my new Sizzix. but I tried the largest of the seven dies. There was one spot -the whole top of one petal that simply wouldn't cut all the way through. I didn't try any of the other six sizes since the large one was what I most wanted. I bought this expecting it to be like other audio cards, i.e. folded, and when you open it, it starts to play sound. Instead, this is about 3/8" thick and does not open -to play the sound, you have to press a button.

Other than that, however, it worked well. It was easy to make the recording, and the sound quality is as good as you can expect from something like this.

THIS SET came with two recordable cards. A card will allow you to record about 20 seconds of sound. We recorded several times before we were satsfied, with no loss in quality. Pulled off the tab cover when done, to disable the rerecord feature, although it could be put back on. It was bigger than we thought it would be, but it worked. We used it to record the intro to phantom of the opera, and attached it to the bottom of a handcrafted. phantom of the opera tribute trophy, The sound was great, and really carried-it was the finishing touch that the trophy needed. Would buy again without hesitation.

We used these to record the first heart beats of our soon to be son, taped his ultrasound to the front and gave them to our parents to aid in the announcement of our special delivery.

Of note: 1 of the items arrived broken (think the battery had died) and it was exchanged without issue. Sound quality is as good as I'd expect for a card like this and it definitely has done what we wanted.

I loved chalkboards. I did a lot of work on a chalkboard. I used a chalkboard at work for years after everybody else's had been replaced with whiteboards. I even saved some chalk when I retired. I was happy to try this idea!

They don't work. You get tiny scratches and the marks are not visible at all.

A proper chalkboard is made of slate. It has a distinct surface that grabs material off the chalk-stick and holds it there.

These things are like cardboard painted with black paint. The chalk-stick hardly makes a mark. Black paint does not a chalkboard make. I used to run into black-paint-boards in other people's offices. I guess they didn't know any better, but they never used their chalkboards. Guess why? Because the chalkboard didn't work. Just like these things, they don't work.

Not good enough!

My chalk is decades old. Could that make a difference? I tried chalk from three different manufacturers and of four different colors. Didn't seem to make any difference.

You're supposed to prepare the surface of a chalkboard, and re-prepare it every year (I did mine as a ritual during Christmas Break). Using the side of the chalk-stick, cover the board uniformly and then erase with vigor. I used a terry-towel cloth, since I couldn't find my old eraser. Didn't help. Actually made it marginally worse, since the weak marklets the chalk makes are even harder to see against the new smoky background instead of plain black.

Nope. Great idea; too bad it wasn't implemented well.

I have seen many room makeovers where the people have used chalkboard paint. I didn't want that for me, this was the best solution. Now I have them all over the house. I leave little notes to myself for different rooms in the house. Now I don't forget.

I got these before even having the embossing machine. I used my rolling pin to emboss my papers and it worked just fine. Rolling them will suffice for a few but if you are making a lot of invitations I would not suggest rolling them all. (My embossing machine will be here tomorrow.) I LOVE these!

Transporting wet oil paintings turned out to be a NERVEWRACKING experience for me, I was so worried I would dump the canvas upside-down while I was driving or brush them against something and smear the paint. Googled how to travel with wet canvas, found someone mentioning these off-handedly, and I can honestly say I would recommend them to any artist out there that has to deal with moving their oil paintings before drying. Especially useful if you are taking painting classes and can't leave your canvas in the classroom. I would recommend two things though. One, use a decent quality stretched canvas. If your canvas is not tight enough, or braced properly, it might flop against the opposing canvas and render both paintings ruined. And two, use these with a blank canvas and your wet painting. That way you only have to worry about not smearing one painting instead of two.

Oh and one more thing, if you are transporting bigger canvasses, say 36" x 48" and up, I would recommend using two packs of these clips just to be safe and to make transport easier. I am using these on 18" x 24" canvas and they work perfectly.
