This kit contains almost everything you need to get started on making silver jewelry. Don't forget that you need to buy butane locally because it is not part of the kit and can't be sent through the mail.

The DVD that is included provides some beautiful ideas on things that you can make and her instructions are clear. I would also recommend that you try the bronze and copper art clay. Not only is it less expensive, but the colors are very popular right now. You could buy this kit and buy either copper or bronze and experiment and get comfortable with them before using the more expensive silver art clay.

This is lots of fun to do! If you don't like what you have made, and it hasn't been fired yet, you can just add water to the clay and re-do the item. It's almost like playing with play-dough.

One other thing before I quit writing: I've taken an empty pill bottle and put any little pieces of clay that I have in it. Then I can add some distilled water to make my own paste for "glueing" bails or additional pieces onto my work.

We have read all the materials and found it super easy to get exactly what we wanted from this unique medium. We did buy some copper clay to practice with before going to the silver. did find it interesting it fires differently but in both cases we were able to produce fine detail and good results after following the detailed instructions included in this kit . there is definatly enough material included to get a number of small pieces completed. and a good value overall

This item's description states it has "Everything you need to mold shape fire and finish" which is not true. I was very disappointed that it comes with no fuel for the torch and there is nowhere to purchase it near where I live. I will be unable to make anything until I find a solution. It is false advertising and the description needs to be more accurate.

I purchased this item at a local store and I love the coverage that they give. Most glitter pens like these will come back up when you're trying to fill in something. Martha's glitter pens are intense. I've use them on white to off white colored cardstock and was very pleased with the results. I ordered another expensive brand and there's no comparison. I use these in a figure drawing class, and have used them for several pieces. They are a bit cleaner than charcoal and erase very well. They also blend well with charcoal for some interesting effects. Great if you don't like the feel of charcoal, or are looking for something less messy

I used it to carve a model clay to a life size face in Ceramics 101 class and fired it to stone, and glazed it and fired it again. I purchased these tools for our yearly pumpkin carving contest. I was looking for ribbon tools to be specific and this set had the best price and was Prime eligible.

The metal poker worked great for stencil outlining. Just be sure to make a deep hole otherwise you can get lost later on.

The metal ribbon tools worked wonders. They are not strong enough to puncture the skin of the pumpkin, but if you cut an outline first of the shape (fire in my case) it is extremely easy to shave into the pumpkin.

I spent ~4 hours on this years pumpkin and they should hold up until next season. I recommend.

I Recognized the accessories in the larger Clay Cutter Kit that I have in my Wood Burning Kit! I just ordered this smaller Clay Cutter kit here since I do have all the accessories from the Wood Burning Kit.

I have fallen in love with these paints for all kinds of hard plastic and vinyl dolls! Many people that use these paints use them for reborning a doll, but I use them to restore and repair dolls. I was using regular acrylic craft paint and trying to mix the shades I needed and that drove me crazy. After I put it on, it was chalky and awful, and it came right off. I "pounced" the paint on with a sponge, in thin layers,and I was so surprised at how the doll's faces were finally looking like I wanted them to. They now have the beautiful facial colors they were made with 50-60 years ago. The directions are easy to follow and emphasize allowing each layer to fully dry before you add another one, which gave me the best results. The colors are premixed to be in skintones, like makeup, so it is easy to tweak it to get the color you need to paint a doll. They look dewey and soft, not chalky. They're also easy to clean up if you do it while it is wet. Once the paint dries, it is nice and permanent. I am still learning a lot about restoration of vinyl and plastic dolls, and I LOVE to use these paints!

I wanted to begin water-coloring, and just checking the prices at the local art store made me almost reconsider. I got this as a cheap alternative and, boy, is it ever a cheap alternative.

The brushes are terrible. If you're going to get serious about painting, just invest in new brushes. I got some starter brushes at the store for $10, and they were significantly better than the brushes in this kit.

The paints are fine for a beginner. Some are more watery than others, some are thicker than others, a few were obviously mislabeled (red is blue?) but for a beginner like me they seemed fine. I was able to paint with them, and that was the important part.

Ditch the pad. It's too small. I got a small pad at the art store for $5, and that was fine.

The instructions are...well, just look up how to watercolor on the internet. Much better.

There's a few slightly useful plastic tools.

The box I received didn't close on its own and eventually, literally, fell apart one day. I just put the paints in some other box and didn't worry about it too much.

To sum up: this would be a great set for a child or someone who is not sure if they'd be interested in painting. Otherwise, just fork over some money for a slightly better set at an art shop.

I bought this for my Niece I wouldn't buy this for adults but for little kids I think it is great and a will hopefully get them interested in new and different things like painting and later hopefully music. this product arrived on time as well and she was very excited when it came in its own case.

Altho this is a good size, it was stated that it was for beginners. This is not for beginners !! Very small spaces to paint. with the # written in the larger space, however once you paint the larger space you can no longer see what color goes in the little space. Yes there is a copy of the painting on the inside wrapper, but hard to follow. Also there are many colors that you need to mix together to get the color that is called for. NOT FOR A BEGINNER

Yarka gouache is a good for the money. It has strong pigment. Not a great lightfastness of the colors. It is very opaque; pencil drawing does not show through the paint. It does not leave streaks of color but leaves round spots when you cover a large area. It is safe for kids, ACMI non-toxic.

The jars are very difficult to open and when you do open it, the paint often splashes. After paint dries it becomes much lighter. The thickness of the paint is inconsistent. Black is more watery than other colors. Yarka is far from professional quality.

I am very upset, that the seller thinks that the consumer would not know the difference between the paints made in Russia and the paints made in China!!!, and has the nerve to show and describe one, but send the other (also has a picture of Parrots!).

Here is a part of the description of Yarka Gouache:

"The same Moscow artist paint factory which makes the student watercolor sets also manufactures the Yarka gouache set. Each of the twelve gouache colors comes in 40ml plastic jars. Yarka gouache is serious quality........"

So, the productI have nothing against, and will still get it (elsewhere).It's the seller's practices that I rate so poorly, unless they tell me that they made an innocent mistake, confused by the picture of the Parrots...I'll follow up on that with another review after I contact them.

What a disappointment and a waste of my TIME!
