As I have written elsewhere... I have put together a set of these brushes (2, 4, 6, 10 & 20) that I use to apply a cobalt/gerstley borate mix (Floyd blue stain) and mason stain/gerstley borate mixes on bisqued porcelain: They're almost perfectly suited to it! They hold quite a lot of material. The point is superb. Flow is superb. Action is excellent. With them I can create beautiful and *long* sharp lines (depending upon technique, of course; they are also well suited to creating a beautiful mess if that's what you're going for!) Worth every penny! (especially at these prices)

I have to admit, I bought a size 0 brush first because they don't look small in the picture. The size 0 would be good for painting the Lords Prayer on the head of a pin. The size 4 brush is just right. It will paint a line six inches long easily without reloading paint, probably longer if you load it up. It paints a very thin line easily which I would guess is about the thickness of a 0.5mm pencil lead. The price is right, and the handle and ferrule are up to snuff. I'm happy with the purchase, and would buy another if I wore this one out.

This is my very favorite adhesive and the only one I will use. Temporary at first so removable, then permanent and holds very strongly. Expensive but worth the price.

I purchased this item due to a high priced designer recommending it to change my silver wood frames to gold. I was hesitant since I paid several hundred dollars for the frames but my only other alternative was to replace the entire frame at a frame shop at several hundred dollars more. So, with little instruction from the designer, I went to work. At my surprise, it was super simple, looks fantastic and definitely a professional appearance. My only recommendation is to wear gloves, preferrably surgical and apply the thick buff to a board, spread somewhat evenly on a cloth before applying. In other words, it comes out in a thick log, similar to toothpaste. If you apply it that way, it spreads on heavy which is not always the best way to apply. Start with a small amount for a less clumpy look. Tube is small but goes a loooonnngg way...one tube covered two frames 4' x 4' with 1/2 a tube left over.

I collect nutcrackers. The gold finish on one of my nutcrackers has started to chip off. I asked at the art department at the local college what I could use to repair the gold finish. I was told to use a rub on gold paint. It would repair the finish and give it a professional look.

I searched the Internet for this product and am thoroughly happy with it. It did exactly what it said it would do, and my nutcracker looks brand new. I put a small amount on my finger tip and applied it to the damaged area -after a light sanding. A gentle buffing when it was dry created the satiny finish I wanted. It was easy to use and cleaned up in a jiffy. No mess, no smell. It can also be applied with a brush in intricate designs or small spaces.

This is an easy product to recommend. Perfect for a crafter or artist.

I like this product, and use it on a variety of surfaces, like bone, wood, etc. However, they have discontinued most of the colors I used (more cuts to come soon!), and the product has some annoying problems. It's a shame that this once good product seems to be "on its way out."

I also have a lot of cracked caps. And, though it does thin with turpenoid products, they also change the color making it a little darker and harder to apply (doesn't stick as well). Also, one tube in the sampler pack CAME already dried out and hard, and one was all chalky and pasty and wouldn't stick to anything (Patina).

They told me, too, to try reconstituting the dried out tubes. But really you shouldn't have to do that to new product. Like the caps, that is a design/product flaw. They will send you more caps. But with a problem that common, they should just use a better quality cap to start with.

Also, as of this date, the colors don't match the images above. I'll see if I can upload a picture of my color chart. The Gold Leaf is really bright gold like leaf! And the Grecian Gold is almost exactly the same as the leaf or maybe a tiny fraction of a shade more orangey. The European Gold is a little more brown than the first two. It's the Antique Gold that is the more pinky color of the Euro swatch. The Spanish Copper is really coffee-colored. The swatch that's currently on the Spanish Copper looks like Ruby except the Ruby is very metallic. And of course the Patina that I got was lighter than the swatch (maybe due to the chalky-pasty problem).

We used this on all the door hinges in a large house. I mixed the pewter and the silver leaf together and the hinges turned out looking like brushed nickle. Just tape it off like you would any painting job and rub. Perfect results.

I couldn't tell how dark the color was by the name "Spanish copper." It was almost black and not a copper color at all. If it had a clear color guide I definitely wouldn't have purchased it. I found out the hard way. Won't do that again.

Had bought these to help my son make a science project, but could not because when you get the stencils, you have to "pop" out the letters inserts to make the stencils. They are precut so all u have to do is use a finger to push them out.....but not all of them were cut all the way through, and I end up having to cut them out myself. Not a good product at all.

Stencils were thin and flimsy, but they worked well for my purpose. They came in two sizes small and large ABC's and there were also lots of shapes ie. hearts, stars, asterics, triangles, circles, etc.

i bought this product to create wine glasses with. i am used to working with a thicker paint so this surprised me that it was so thin and then recognized it was transparent. the wine glass still turned out great! i had to use 2-3 coats and had to be very patient bc since this is a thin paint it can drip easily. other than that, my glasses have turned out great! :)

I didn't buy this particular set (although I wish I had rather than invididually!) but I thought I would review the Pebeo Vitrea paints in general.

I first purchased some of the gloss glass paint and the outliner tubes to decorate wine glasses for my wedding party. I was pretty impressed with the paint and it was very easy to use. I painted 5-point flower petals in a different color for each bridesmaid, and used the outliners to paint their names in a script font.

Making mistakes with this paint is OKAY! A huge mistake wipes off easily with rubbing alcohol to start fresh, and I recommend doing it this way until you get familiar with the paint. A small mistake can be easily fixed by first letting it air dry for an hour or two. I was able to take a wood toothpick and clean up lines or mistakes and the paint didn't CHIP off, but allowed me to work with it and reveal the glass underneath with no problem. You can actually scrape the paint off at any point before it's oven-cured.

The colors are really pretty. The frosted versions are much more opaque than the gloss versions which are a bit more transparent than you would expect.

The absolute BEST thing about this glass paint and the main reason I am writing this review and gave it 5 stars: I use my own painted wine glass atleast once a week and it goes right in the dishwasher. I've had it for about 2 years now, and it still looks PERFECT. The longevity of this paint when cured correctly (follow the instructions on the bottle) is simply amazing.

I've painted other wine glasses for gifts since my first attempt and I'm very sad that Michael's no longer sells this brand. (Michael's now sells Martha Stewart glass paint and every review I read says that you can scratch that right off with your nail even after curing! EEK!) I would have to try really hard, with a razor blade, to scratch the Pebeo Vitrea paint from my glasses.

I'll be buying some more Pebeo Vitrea paint from Amazon to make some more gifts. :)

This paint is glorious.

Takes a little getting used to, some of the colors are more opaque than others, and mixing them can get a little muddy. But the colors are vibrant, and under typical application/drying/baking the paint itself stands up extremely well! I've a year+ old set of glasses painted with Pebeo that have gone through multiple hot water hand AND machine washings and look as good as the day they were painted.

This (and other) similar sets are definitely the way to start out with the paints the cheapest price I've found for a decent array of colors that should be a good starting palette for most painters. And this paint goes a long way! After couple of dozen glasses painted, with decent coverage of paint on each and more than a little wastage of unused paint, I am only down barely a third of even the most used colors!

Also I'd definitely recommend the mediums & thinners for watering them down over just using water (despite the paint's water solubility). Possibly it's just a trick I haven't gotten the hang of yet, but the paints much easier to work with the former technique than the latter!

If done properly (which isn't hard to do right) this paint will stay on forever; Through dishwashing, hot rinse, whatever you can throw at it. My one comment would be the paints have a very painterly look, meaning you can see the brush strokes. If your objective is a flat surface (ie. a tardis), it can be harder to achieve. But I still love this product! And would recommend it to anyone wanting to make permanent glass ware more decorative.

Lightweight Aluminum Easel with Travel Bag Review

I was a little iffy about purchasing such a cheap easel for my large sketchbook drawings and heavy canvas paintings, though was pleasantly surprised to find that this easel is VERY durable and can hold my heaviest sketchbooks and canvases without becoming "shaky." I am 6'4" tall and am able to stand comfortably while using this easel and can still use it as a tabletop easel if I'd like. If you are a college art student like me, you can understand how difficult it is to haul around all of your supplies across campus. This easel can completely fold down into a small bag (included) that I can easily fit into my backpack, which doesn't cause a strain on my long walks. I was pleased with the price, durability, and light, compact size of this easel and I strongly recommend it for start-up artists like me and other college students.

This is a great easel! It's extremely light, and surprisingly compact--and it even comes with a bag! I'm used to the traditional, very heavy wooden easels, so I was a little afraid that it'd be shaky, since it's so light, but it's been fairly steady--watch out for wind though. I love that it can be adjusted to a table-top easel too! Great to carry around, bring on trips, etc. All this for a great price! Two complaints: 1) the top part that holds the easel, if adjusted too high, doesn't always stay straight--but that's not a problem if the easel's holding a canvas or sketchpad. 2) it opens rather wide, so it's a little hard to use in smaller spaces. Overall though, this was a great buy, I'm so glad I decided on this one!

This was my first time using this tape, and I really liked working with it. It is very translucent, so it looks great on glass. I used it on hurricane lamps. The candlelight glowed through the tape, which looked beautiful. This tape is easily repositionable and removable. It leaves no sticky residue behind. I just don't know if it would stick permanently like masking tape, because it does lift so easily.

I am in the middle of writing thank you notes for wedding gifts and have had a hard time finding notecards that aren't wedding themed, cheesy, stuffy or too pricey. After searching for a while, I stumbled on these Studio Oh! notecard sets and they will be my go-to from here on out. The set has just the right amount of whimsy and modern.

You can tell the company has put a lot of thought into these cards. The whole package is great from the envelopes with a paler area to write legible addresses to the back flap that has a small off center 'Carpe Diem' printed which I think is a fun touch. The cards themselves are thick quality stock with 4 different beautifully embossed feather designs, each with a wee bit of metallic shine integrated making them really pop. People will enjoy getting these in the mail!

My 7 year old daughter spent several hours knotting the pieces of this quilt together on a 9 hour road trip. Everytime she put it down she would pick it back up and say, "one more." She didn't exactly make a quilt, she knottted a "purse" and a "hood" (mistakes turned useful) but she enjoyed it very much. If she'd had an adult's guidance making a quilt wouldn't have been a problem. This was a fantastic change from the constant DVD viewing that typically takes place on such long trips. I definitely recomend this craft.

My kids and I worked on this project together. My ten-year-old enjoyed it and was very proud of the results. However, my eight-year-old got very frustrated and gave up. I decided to help and discovered why it was so frustrating for the younger child. The strips of fabric that you are supposed to tie together are just BARELY long enough to make a double knot. We had to work on the quilt in short periods of time because of the high frustration factor (even for me.) Just be aware that he picture on the box, with the perfectly flat quilt and perfectly tied knots is an impossible standard--the quilt we made was puckered and uneven, and that was with an adult helping. (It's still a cute quilt, and as long as my kid is happy, who cares?) Also, you have to be careful because if you pull the knots tight, you can actually tear the thin fleece. Since my older child enjoyed it, I'm going to get some more durable fabric and make a similar kit myself--I'll cut the strips longer so the knots will be much easier to tie. Overall, a good project for just the right child, probably an older child with a long attention span and good dexterity.

When they arrived, I was very disappointed to see the fabric was thin more like something you would make pajamas out of. I was expecting the kit to be made of fleece to make a warm and cuddly blanket. Instead, it was more like knit flannel. I returned the kits and will keep looking.
