I got this kit to go along with the airbrush I got my boyfriend for x-mas. While it is pretty good quality paint, and a nice mix of paint types (Matte, Fluorescent, and Opaque) we found that it need a little help to avoid clogging the airbrush and getting a consistent spray. It seems to work best when you use this paint with a filter (you can use some old pantyhose, just cut a square of it, take the cap off the paint and stretch the nylon over the top; while pulling the hose tight over the opening, screw the cap back onto the paint. Ta-da! Instant and super cheap filter.) While this might sound like a pain, it's not uncommon to need to filter airbrush paints if you are using a fine nozzle. We also found diluting the paint a bit also helps to prevent clogs, and depending on how much you dilute it, you can get different amounts of coverage. A little of this paint goes a long way, and the colors are vibrant. The cups are also really useful to have for mixing.

it covers very well drys fast with that said it will dry in the air gun fast to so when using this pain you gave to clean the gun even if you are just sitting the gun down just for a min. or you will have to fix the gun after you pick it back up

I was a little skeptical using this as I have previously used 2 part epoxies and this stuff is like mixing 2 clay parts together but it works as advertised. I used it to repair a rather large hole my son put in our pool slide which is made of fiberglass. Mixed it, put it on, smoothed and then sanded and painted. Can't see the damage.....And my son is no longer grounded....Win all the way around.

I used this epoxy to assemble large-scale ceramic sculptures. It was easy to use, had a good kneadable consistency, and adhered to all surfaces well. It also did not slump and reached full strength overnight. Afterward, it accepted all types of paint and spray lacquer. I have been looking for an epoxy to replace Phillyseal-R ever since that was discontinued. So far, this epoxy is closest, and is also reasonably placed. I will continue to use it.

Rub-N-Buff Finish 1/2 Ounce Tube - in your choice of colors Review

I purchased this item due to a high priced designer recommending it to change my silver wood frames to gold. I was hesitant since I paid several hundred dollars for the frames but my only other alternative was to replace the entire frame at a frame shop at several hundred dollars more. So, with little instruction from the designer, I went to work. At my surprise, it was super simple, looks fantastic and definitely a professional appearance. My only recommendation is to wear gloves, preferrably surgical and apply the thick buff to a board, spread somewhat evenly on a cloth before applying. In other words, it comes out in a thick log, similar to toothpaste. If you apply it that way, it spreads on heavy which is not always the best way to apply. Start with a small amount for a less clumpy look. Tube is small but goes a loooonnngg way...one tube covered two frames 4' x 4' with 1/2 a tube left over.

I collect nutcrackers. The gold finish on one of my nutcrackers has started to chip off. I asked at the art department at the local college what I could use to repair the gold finish. I was told to use a rub on gold paint. It would repair the finish and give it a professional look.

I searched the Internet for this product and am thoroughly happy with it. It did exactly what it said it would do, and my nutcracker looks brand new. I put a small amount on my finger tip and applied it to the damaged area -after a light sanding. A gentle buffing when it was dry created the satiny finish I wanted. It was easy to use and cleaned up in a jiffy. No mess, no smell. It can also be applied with a brush in intricate designs or small spaces.

This is an easy product to recommend. Perfect for a crafter or artist.

I like this product, and use it on a variety of surfaces, like bone, wood, etc. However, they have discontinued most of the colors I used (more cuts to come soon!), and the product has some annoying problems. It's a shame that this once good product seems to be "on its way out."

I also have a lot of cracked caps. And, though it does thin with turpenoid products, they also change the color making it a little darker and harder to apply (doesn't stick as well). Also, one tube in the sampler pack CAME already dried out and hard, and one was all chalky and pasty and wouldn't stick to anything (Patina).

They told me, too, to try reconstituting the dried out tubes. But really you shouldn't have to do that to new product. Like the caps, that is a design/product flaw. They will send you more caps. But with a problem that common, they should just use a better quality cap to start with.

Also, as of this date, the colors don't match the images above. I'll see if I can upload a picture of my color chart. The Gold Leaf is really bright gold like leaf! And the Grecian Gold is almost exactly the same as the leaf or maybe a tiny fraction of a shade more orangey. The European Gold is a little more brown than the first two. It's the Antique Gold that is the more pinky color of the Euro swatch. The Spanish Copper is really coffee-colored. The swatch that's currently on the Spanish Copper looks like Ruby except the Ruby is very metallic. And of course the Patina that I got was lighter than the swatch (maybe due to the chalky-pasty problem).

We used this on all the door hinges in a large house. I mixed the pewter and the silver leaf together and the hinges turned out looking like brushed nickle. Just tape it off like you would any painting job and rub. Perfect results.

I couldn't tell how dark the color was by the name "Spanish copper." It was almost black and not a copper color at all. If it had a clear color guide I definitely wouldn't have purchased it. I found out the hard way. Won't do that again.

I have five da Vinci Pure Blue Squirrel brushes. (while I'm at it, I should mention that I have one Raphail, One Winsor Newton, and two Isabey Pure Squirrel brushes. (If I find one on sale, I pawn one of my grandkids to buy it). Truly, it is the Pure-Blue-Squirellishness of them that is most remarkable. I had been told they were worth the price and held more color (or water) than any other brush. I should, and will, measure the difference in capacity. But on sight, holding two brushes in a glass of water and then squeezing the water into empty paint pans, I was shocked to see a whole lot more water from these beautifully made Pure Blue Squirrel brushes. One interesting note: no matter how heavy the load of color in the bristles, they don't drip. Getting the color to flow requires touching the tip to a surface.

Aesthetics: As an artist, you'll benefit from the physical look and feel of da Vinci's Pure Blue Squirrel brushes. The handle shapes and lengths have a wonderful feel. All the brushes in this series have beautiful hand wound bindings, da Vinci 418-5 Pure Blue Squirrel Quill-Petit Gris Pur Watercolor Mop and high lacquer sheen and sloping shaped handles. Holding one in your hand is soooo nice.

I won't say that these brushes completely eliminate the need for a rigger, mainly because I don't have a broad enough experience to make such a statement. But I can tell you that I don't have to find a different brush to complete exquisitely tiny detail. The bristles come to an excellent point, and that point can hold a lot of color.

Let's see... what else? Oh! The way the brush bristles feel as you stroke it onto paper. I don't know how to explain the difference between this and sable or this and squirrel with most excellent synthetic fibers. It feels more flowey.

I've heard that they don't hold up as long as sable or synthetic/squirrel mixes. I don't know that to be true. Frankly, I don't care. Not that I'm rich. I have to save up to get these brushes. Makes them just that more a joy! Art is more than creating a product. It is being present for the creation, These brushes enrich that experience.

the variety of colors was amazing and the pigmentation was great. they are tiny tubes, but i only needed them for a school project so it was convenient for me. i've had acrylic paint that is watery and runny and that requires a couple of layers to get an opaque color but these are thick and one layer was enough.

I was looking for a paint to use for nail art after seeing several pinterest/youtube posts about how acrylic craft paint is better than nailpolish, I decided to give it a go. I bought this kit because I saw another reviewer saying she had used this for nail art and had had a positive experience.

The tubes are small, but with nail art a little goes a LONG way. I would recommend dotting a little onto parchment paper and working from there there's also enough variety that you can mix your own colors.

I did a clear base coat of nail polish, then used the black to cover the nails. I was pleased with the opacity and lack of streaking. 2 coats (that both dried much faster than nail polish!) completely covered the nails. I then went on to detail work. My first attempt was at "The Nightmare Before Christmas" nails and I was able to create designs of Jack, Oogie Boogie, Zero and 2 scenes from the movie. I covered the entire thing with a clear nail polish top coat. People have not stopped raving about how great my nails look. 4 days later and not a single chip and the best part? The entire kit of 24 tubes cost the same as only 2 containers of nail polish! I think I am done forever with nailpolish and will be using Reeves paints for my nails from now on!

I picked this up after trying out a similar but pricier kit made by Reeves. I prefer the Reeves kit, but it's considerably more expensive, and this is a much better deal for your money. I definitely like the dolphin design and it turns out pretty well. I definitely recommend practicing on the included practice board, however. The scraper pulls the black coating off a little roughly, so the edges of the lines aren't quite as smooth as you might prefer. It's also a good idea to cover the bits you aren't scraping at at the moment since the coating comes off very easily even when you're not trying to pull it off. The Reeves kit resulted in a cleaner, smoother picture and the coating didn't scrape off involuntarily in the same way. I'd tend to recommend this one as a good project to try out the engraving hobby and see what you think of it. If you're interested in a project to display or give away and don't mind paying a little extra for higher quality goods, I'd go with the Reeves brand instead. Either way, I'm sure you'll have fun with it.

I know that title isn't exactly a ringing endorsement but I wasn't expecting a diamond studded silk ball gown. I expected a package of card stock templates for basic shapes. That's what I got. It's not extensive and the shapes (in spite of the shear number of individual templates) are really basic and limited. Some don't really make sense and seem thrown in for grins. There's a bottle, a bow and a keyhole for instance and that makes no sense to me. Other than that, most of them are basic geometric or variants on those (with scalloped edges, for instance). I'm not disappointed and it wasn't expensive.

I just finished my FIRST QUILT EVER!! It's a baby sized quilt, so nothing amazing. When I was shopping for feet related to clothing making I saw this foot and figured it was inexpensive so added it to my card with the quilt I just finished in mind. I pieced it together and finally got to the 'stitch in the ditch' part. Please keep in mind I am teaching myself how to make this as I go along. I don't even OWN a 'real' quilt, just machine made bedspreads etc. Now that I've used the foot I understand why it's so useful. My first quilt looks AMAZING. The 'ditch' stitching is neatly tucked into the joined seams. You can't even see them on the face of the quilt, but the quilt has that distinctive 'quilted' look. I don't know how else to put it. Now I'm going to try the Distinctive Free Motion foot for the all over quilting. I'll be reviewing that foot next!

To the mechanics of the foot itself, it attached perfectly to my older Singer. The bit of metal that goes 'in the ditch' guides you really well, but it has enough 'give' that excessive pressure to it just nudges it over a little. You move the foot back, and the metal bit just goes back to center. Basically, I hit a few spots where it got tripped up by there being something to push against (my own mistakes in putting the quilt together) and the bit didn't bend. I was really afraid I'd ruined it a couple times, but it sprang back like a champ.

I LOVE this foot! I purchased a lot of fleece remnants and sewed them together to make blankets for the homeless shelter. I was able to butt the fleece pieces together and join them with a decorative stitch. This was a very easy and inexpensive way to provide blankets for the homeless clients at the shelter.

I bought this presser foot to do some basic machine quilting with a simple stitch in the ditch method and have found some of the other Distinctive brand presser feet very useful (like the Distinctive 1-4 (Quarter Inch) Quilting Sewing Machine Presser Foot with Edge Guide Fits All Low Shank Snap-On Singer*, Brother, Babylock, Husqvarna Viking (Husky Series), Euro-Pro, White, Bernina (Bernette Series), New Home, Elna and More! and Distinctive Non-Stick Sewing Machine Presser Foot Fits All Low Shank Snap-On Singer*, Brother, Babylock, Viking (Husky Series), Euro-Pro, Janome, Kenmore, White, Juki, Bernina (Bernette Series), New Home, Necchi, Elna and More!). The presser foot fits my Brother CP6500 perfectly.

But, I can't say I'm overly impressed. Sure, it's helping me keep to the ditch when quilting, but the small guide goes astray quite easily. What happens is the ditch guide attached to the foot very easily wobbles and bends, and even gets caught up behind seam edging. I was sewing a slow to moderate speed when using this, but I'd imagine anyone sewing at a fast speed would most definitely break off the ditch guide if it got caught up on the fabric and it wasn't caught in time.

I'm sure other presser feet could be used to stitch in the ditch without the guide, and although I don't have any quilt projects planned (for now) I imagine that if one happened to come along I might just use another presser foot.

I had not sewn in a while and took on making several evening gowns. This was one of the products that made the results look professional. What a fantastic thing. When you are trying sew inside of a seam such as going acoss the shoulder on a sleeveless shirt to hold the facing in, just pop this on, put a little tension on your fabric to open the seam a bit and go for it! The foot has a little plow that runs along in front of th needle so that there is a well hidden seam. I love it.

I bought this for my three year old daughter who had been begging for a Play-doh set of her own. For under ten dollars, there's quite a bit included in this setsmall cutters, a mini extruder, lollipop sticks, molds, a small roller, and four small cans of dough. She loves the variety of items included, and I like the fact that it all goes back into the container after play. All that being said, it's much smaller than I was expecting and the four cans of dough are not full sized. I'd recommend ordering the Playdoh case of colors to go along with the set for added play value.

I purchased this machine for basic stitching with my daughter. We were so disappointed when we could not even get one simple hemline out of it! The stitches were sometimes pretty, and sometimes they wouldn't catch the bottom thread at all, and sometimes the needle got jammed. We tried it with different tensions, and different materials, but were never completely successful. The entire process was so aggravating that my daughter declared she'd rather sew by hand!! Next time, I will spend more for something that works.

I accidentally purchased this "sewing genie" because I thought I was buying a "mini-rex machine". However, the seller wrote a note that said this "sewing genie" was a similar version of the mini-rex. Had I read the note carefully I wouldnt've bought this because it is a piece of garbage. In the first 15 minutes I used it, I bent two needles, busted the thread about 5 times and couldn't sew through more than 2 layers of THIN sheets. I am fairly experienced with sewing machines so I was able to mess with it and get it to work eventually after about 30 minutes. I do not recommend this machine for anyone, not even a beginner because it is terrible. It shook so much on the table that I had to get someone to hold it down for me so that the stitches weren't completely crooked. I guess you can't expect much from a $20 machine but I know that there are other $20 machines out there that are SIGNIFICANTLY better than this one. In the end, I was able to sew the sheet I needed to sew but I would've rather paid the seamstress to do it instead of this nightmare.

Well not even 20 minutes into a simple Halloween costume project, we managed to bend 4 needles and discover that the needle clamp is made of PLASTIC and snapped into pieces after continuous tension adjustments from needle changes. I wish I had seen the other reviews before purchasing this item, since it seams that we are all having similar problems. I never would have bought this item if I knew how bad it was going to be. This machine works once you figure out how to load the bottom bobbin correctly. It was a bit tricky at first and I wanted to give up. It's my first time using a sewing machine.

This thing is not made for heavy duty sewing, but I was able to alter a pair of jeans without a hitch. Overall, I'm pleased with this product. It's cheap and it comes with plenty of thread and accessory pre-spooled bobbins. There's a foot pedal so you're hands are free to guide the fabric while sewing. It comes with an adapter, too.

I enjoyed using this product. But it took time to figure out how to configure the thread & bobbin settings correctly. Not for impatient people.

I've had one of these for a few years and it works great. I don't even remember the last time I used my "real" sewing machine. You do need to fiddle a little with it to get the stitches right but once you get the hang of it it works pretty well. I have even machine washed stuff that I sewed with it and it held on.

Do keep in mind that it only does simple straight sewing. You can do backstitching or zigzags or anything fancy.
